Any word on the next release of held funds shtylman?
|

I haven't seen any thread for us down in SoFla. We have a fairly active Orlando community but where is the bitcoin love down south?

Happy to say that my first chunk of bitcoin on hold from the theft has finally come out of hold. About 1.7% but it's a good start. Cheers to Roman for a great effort bringing the website back up.

From BFL order confirmation e-mail:
"Your order position won't be penalized for any time it takes to send you this payment information. Please send me an email with a copy of the wire confirmation form. Once payment has been received, I'll respond with final confirmation of your order."
Is this valid?
Can I have ordered the first week, have order number 0500, have paid last week and still be number 0500 in the list?
I read someone from BFL writing about payment date being the data they look at when they ship out the initial products. But that doesn't agree with the e-mail I received. Any input?

How can one 'get' them unlocked?

Thanks for the reply EuSou, I went ahead and created an ING account

the bitfloor blog hasn't been updated in over a month. Is there any news about cash deposits coming back soon or the frozen bitcoin beginning to release?
Has anyone dealt with the ING P2P deposits? Is it any hassle to use?

It's working fine for me edit: shtylman updated his thread I apologize for the downtime. It was the result of a minor issue with the website. The API, trading, withdrawal, deposit, and other services were not affected.

cash or coin? 1k? i am with you on providing support for quality members that serve a purpose to enhance the community in general.
As it was $224,000 lost, it's easy to deduce he means 224 $1,000 investors

There's already a post on reddit with this same concernThe top comment by sgtspike brings up a very good point: "Let's see... would you rather approach a venture capitalist (who knows nothing of Bitcoin), and say, "Hey, I need $2M, and I'll make $12M in sales in a year," or "Hey, I need $2M, and I'll make 1.2 million of this funny internet currency"? Yeah... Also, another factor you haven't taken in to account: If BFL was known to have more than half the hashing power of the Bitcoin network (which they undoubtedly would be able to achieve if they produced their own ASIC chips and mined on them before anyone else), all confidence in Bitcoin would immediately falter. And when confidence falters, the price drops, like a rock. And when the price drops like a rock, all those BTC that BFL is mining become worthless. Suddenly, they are out a $2M investment, and it was all for nothing. They are helping to preserve the Bitcoin network by getting ASIC miners into as many people's hands as possible, increasing confidence, the price per BTC, and, logically, their sales (higher BTC price = more sales)."

As per the original flyer, wouldn't 10,000 likes in 2 days be a little suspicious? Or is that meant to be 20 days?

I'd just like to add to the thread that I've successfully sold 10 btc on the exchange, requested and ACH, and the money is already comfortably sitting in my bank account.
Thanks for the straight forward website.

n00dle, should you ever fail as a programmer, you could definitely find work in graphic design. On a serious note; I like these works you are providing, you're valuable person to the bitcoin community bringing your services here. One more niche area to help bitcoin expand.

I would prefer he actually say it than just assume it. I'm not asking for a specific on how or when just a simple "and repay stolen BTC" would be enough.
He also said he doesn't want to spread misinformation before anything is 100% assured. I'm certain he's trying his hardest to get the site back operational and to pay back all that was lost. He's simply covering his ass just a little (since we all know how people can get on these forums).
