301  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Zhou Tong, You better pay me now... on: July 27, 2012, 03:08:21 AM
Maria: Zhou Tong! Lie down with your hands behind your back.
Zhou Tong: What's this? Six of you. Such nice, tidy uniforms. Oh I'm so scared!
[the Police Officers look at each other]
Zhou Tong: What you guys don't have sarcasm anymore?
[Police Officer talks to his automated assistant]
Maria: Maniac has responded with a scornful remark.
automated assistant: Approach, and repeat ultimatum in an even firmer tone of voice. Add the words, "or else".

You need to add the words "or else" in the Subject line Smiley

That image does not contain a valid qr code or the system i have can't read it.

It's a valid QR code, except for the eyes. I had to undo all the color changes and the rotation to get it to scan, but it goes to the Optiscan webpage.

Not practical.... yet.

Winrar
Wrong! This is not 1997, it's freaking 2011 you old gizzard!!!

If you have v3 or higher, then it'll use AES 128bit, which given a long and strong password, should provide enough security.

How long is overkill and how short is too short? I am using a paragraph of about 4 rather long sentences out of a book.
308  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain.info https contains unsecured content on: July 27, 2012, 02:30:57 AM
I just closed out all tabs and closed chrome. I opened it again and went back to the wallet and now everything is OK. This is not cool Sad
309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: blockchain.info wallet going off the deep end? on: July 27, 2012, 02:22:38 AM
I sent transactions today.  Neither gave the typical confirmation screen.  One sent the proper amount but sent it twice.  The other sent a bizarre amount of coins that was not what I intended and not what I pasted into the field.

Disclaimer:  I only use Mesviron- no weed, LSD, meth, benzos, etc.

See your doctor first thing in the morning and tell him you need to get your dosage upped.

Is anyone else getting this or have I been hacked!?

312  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: MT.Gox account hacked - lost 2k USD - MT.GOX will not explain how. on: July 27, 2012, 01:34:24 AM
Good luck on that police report. It will be just as useful as filing a missing person's report for your imaginary friend!

315  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Questions about BFL - BitForce Jalapeno on: July 27, 2012, 01:23:54 AM
Well that sucks. For $150 you think it would be self reliant. Have it's own network card and stuff.

Why would you think that?
BFL Singles cost $599 and require a PC.
Other FPGA cost $300 to $700 and require a PC.
GPUs cost $200 to $800 and require a PC.

Why would the cheapest hashing device ever not require a PC.

Quote
Would the Jalapeno work with the Rasberrry PI?

Nobody knows.  Technically if someone got an OS, mining software, and drivers for Jalapeno working on Pi then it could work otherwise it won't.  As of today you can't use BFL Singles on Pi so it seems very unlikely that will be available on day 1.

You can tell I am not a miner and that I have absolutely no idea about any of this new ASIC stuff LOL

Yes

Are you seriously developing or did you just get it for collect-ability?
I developed a working web based payment app but I'm not sure I'll be submitting.  While I'm using their interesting technology, I'm using some by own design and logic and by submitting you agree to license all your work to them for free in perpetuity.   Not sure I'm interested in that.  However some of their authentication and security methods were interesting and I'd like to port some of it to a Bitcoin payment device

You AGREED to the terms and they sent you a kit. I am a professional programmer and I very interested in SUBMITTING something but I can't because all the kits where snatched up within a couple of days of announcement.

If you are not going to submit anything I will gladly take it off your hands for you so that I can contribute while you just sit on your hands.

1. I didn't say I wasn't going to submit.  I'm putting the final touches on it this week and I'll be giving the terms another read.  Winning some gold might be nice but relinquishing ip may not be worth it.
2.  It a REALLY buggy api.  I'm have no ideas of your skills but even Zhou probably couldn't bank out an app in 4 days.

MagicalTux was writing a wrapper but I'm not sure he ever got it working.  I stopped following it.
https://github.com/MagicalTux/mintchip/blob/master/php/MintChipMessage.class.php

What languages do you develop in?

PHP, JavaScript, ASP, C#, Ruby, Ruby on Rails

Don't mind me please. I am just in a pissy mood I guess.
