how do i restore a wallet using a 13 word seed phrase which was created on mymonero a long time ago? tia.
https://xmr.llcoins.net/thanks. silly question, but how to do go about using that for this purpose. appreciate the help. So when you put your seed into that tool (do it with an offline saved copy, and then INTERMEDIATELY transfer those coins to a secure wallet) you will get what you need to fill THIS out: Fill it out, and like I said parenthetically , move those coins to a secure wallet. Once you have performed this sort of action your wallet is not really secure anymore. thanks!

i'd like to find a tool that would allow me to take two separate batches of addresses, cross reference them, and see if they've ever interacted with one another, either directly or indirectly.
would be willing to pay for tool if not readily available. does anyone have any ideas?
thanks!

1) created new offline tx on online machine (0.96.3.99-beta) 2) signed it successfully using offline machine (0.96 beta)
These 2 versions are basically incompatible if you are signing for anything but P2PKH. i updated the online machine to 0.96 and it worked. i have no idea how the hell the first one went through, but it did. anyway, thanks to everyone for their responses.

This sounds normal to me. Bitcoin doesn't work like a database usually would. Simplifying but: if you have 2BTC in one lump (UTXO) and want to send 0.5 BTC somewhere, it effectively splits that into 1.5BTC (your change) and 0.5BTC. The .5 gets sent out to the address you specified and the 1.5 gets sent to a change address that is part of your wallet. This isn't unique to Armory, so there is plenty more reading available ok thanks. so i successfully sent a fraction of the balance and the rest was returned to me. i got impatient and just did it. now i've encountered another very odd problem. i tried sending more from the same wallet (again) and it wont allow me to. 1) created new offline tx on online machine (0.96.3.99-beta) 2) signed it successfully using offline machine (0.96 beta) 3) i loaded it back onto online machine and tried broadcasting it but but i'm getting an error in red that says 'unrecognized.' i clicked 'here for more info about this tx' but i'm being told its invalid and cannot be shown. so i literally just tried to repeat the exact same process which just worked but am gettting this unrecognized error. any ideas? thanks.

when i go to send a fraction of a coin using my WO wallet on my online machine, i check the "preview transaction" directly above the continue button, and see that its emptying the contents of an entire address housed in that wallet. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Transaction#Outputi'm guessing that the tx has to account for the whole wallet in one address in that WO wallet but in actuality only what i want to send is sent and the rest is sent back to me automatically in that wallet. is that correct? thanks.

i know this has been covered before but i was hoping for some handholding. i've finally been able to sync my old armory wallets (thanks Holliday!) after a couple of nervewracking weeks. what i'd like to do now is claim my bch and btg which were held in my armory wallets prefork. these wallets have never touched the inet and i am looking for the safest way to export the keys into trezor or nano s, claim the alt coins and finally send back my btc into armory. i realize in order to this they'll have to be online.
if someone could spell this out for me--in laymans terms--with line-by-line instructions, in the safest manner possible, i would appreciate it.
its literally been years since i've transferred any coins into or out of armory and some handholding would be greatly appreciated.
thank you.

my transaction has finally been processed!

title says it all. i've sent several emails to support in addition to tweets. i've been assured it will be processed 'shortly' but nothing.
to be clear, they have taken my funds and i've been stuck in the 'sending to your wallet' stage for 4 days. their (lack of) response demonstrates a total lack of professionalism and my trust in this outfit has eroded considerably. this is a rather sizeable tx and i hope it can be resolved very shortly.

It's not uncommon for changelly to receive these sorts of complaints. It's definitely not the first time that this has happened, which has resulted them in getting a negative trust previously for their shady activity. The worst thing any company can do to you is not fulfill their promises, and then proceed to ignore you. Your options now are: - Send them a PM on forum - Keep on trying to get an update on the ticket on reddit(which I see you've already done). - Keep waiting. Next time, seriously consider using shapeshift or just an exchange. Shapeshift will reimburse your funds instead of holding your funds for four days. thanks for the response. i've reached out to them via various channels. i will go ahead and PM them though. the problem with shapeshift is they have very low limit transactions. obviously better to underpromise and overdeliver than the other way around, but this is the first big issue i've had with changelly. i will keep the board posted on my progress.

should i try and import the WO wallet now?
I would manually copy all the wallets you want to monitor into the Armory folder, delete the Armory/databases folder, start Bitcoin Core manually and let it sync completely, then start Armory. thanks currently i am creating a WO copy on a thumbdrive using the offline computer and importing into armory on the online one. which exact folder do i copy the wallets into in the armory folder? i'm assuming the armory/databases folder i should copy into is this one: C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin\database. i'll give this a go once i know where to copy the wallets into. thanks. ok, i believe i was able to follow what you said. i did this: 1) copied wallet into C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\Armory 2) deleted C:\Users\Name\AppData\Roaming\Armory\databases 3) started bitcoin core manually and allowed it to sync 4) started armory this worked! i only tried one wallet, but will try the others i had problems with too. thank you! hopefully i dont run into further problems

sorry, i dont know how to turn off auto management. i searched, but to no avail. wasnt being, lazy In Armory: File > Settings. On the general tab, uncheck "Let Armory run Bitcoin Core/bitcoind in the background". Then save. Close down Armory. Check Task manager and kill bitcoind or armorydb if they are there. Start up C:\Program Files\Bitcoin\bitcoin-qt.exe Any error messages? Is it catching up? did this, got no error messages when starting core and its all caught up. should i try and import the WO wallet now?

i don't think it'll matter but can you turn off auto-management of Bitcoin Core/bitcoind and manually run Core? Also, when was the last time you attempted to import these wallets?
sorry, i dont know how to turn off auto management. i searched, but to no avail. wasnt being, lazy i did what was suggested and just let armory sync fully. i then tried to import a WO wallet which i couldnt previously get to import. it scanned and got stuck at 98% (again) after letting it run overnight. the logs are below. to be clear, i tried importing another wallet successfully which was created at the same time; however i cant get this one to work. the last time i did a thing with any of these was 2014. i'm more than uninstall core and start all over again if thats what it takes. anyway, thanks again in advance for any help/advice. https://pastebin.com/raw/k2CJ1dzghttps://pastebin.com/raw/4Sx6iB1gthen there was a big empty space with no characters in the log filed between the paste above and this one: https://pastebin.com/raw/U5gWcmmP

hi, wondering if you had any update on this. i'm willing to erase everything and start again, or whatever other advice you might have for me. thanks!
If droark doesn't get back to you, could you post your logs again? I remember trying to access them when you first posted, but it seems like cryptbin just hangs on your link. You could try splitting the log manually into a few pastes and adding to pastebin... or separate dblog.txt and armorylog.txt pastes (They'll be in the same directory as your Armory databases subfolder, unless you've changed that) sure, lets try that then: https://pastebin.com/raw/MZdwAAsWhttps://pastebin.com/raw/21SDQumZhttps://pastebin.com/raw/XPRez19Lhttps://pastebin.com/raw/D0Z6BDb9

Thanks. It worked. I'm definitely seeing errors in the logs. Hard for me to say offhand what might be triggering the errors that seem like they could be related.
ok thanks. i'll patiently await any advice hi, wondering if you had any update on this. i'm willing to erase everything and start again, or whatever other advice you might have for me. thanks!
