1  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] User: WonFreeBitcoin on: May 14, 2014, 11:00:29 PM
I don't want to sound like a dick, but why the hell were you trading with him? His trust rating is in the shit. I'd almost say you deserved to have your money taken.
2  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a loan of 0.06 on: April 04, 2014, 07:38:49 PM
Im looking for a loan of 0.06 BTC, I will return in a week.

What I want to do with it is to invest in trading.

Do you have any time of altcoin, such as Litecoins, for collateral?  No collateral means no loan.   Undecided

Also just to make it clear Deep1, you are wanting people to 'invest' in a form of gambling. It frustrates me that people try to pass of trading as anything else.

Why anyone would fill a loan like this, but not fill a loan for a straight up gambling request.
3  Economy / Lending / Re: hi there lenders on: March 25, 2014, 06:34:35 AM
The short answer is no. Collateral is king around here.

The longer answer is, due to so many people being scammed. Even though they have the full details of the user giving up your information isn't an acceptable form of collateral anymore. Too many people have had details of a borrower and not been able to do something about it.

Also think of it this way. You are asking a stranger to lend you $55 dollars. Can you imagine giving such a loan yourself? In my opinion a LOT of people wouldn't, yet still seem to think that asking for it is acceptable.

Sorry if I have come across as overly negative, but the apparent naivity is really frustrating.
4  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a 0.05 btc Loan - Pay Back 0.06 in 1 Week - Trust Loan on: January 27, 2014, 07:27:08 PM
Just so you know, trust loans mean zero around here. There have been far too many people who have gone the trust loan route to then rip someone off for a lot of money.
5  Economy / Digital goods / Re: NETFLIX 12 Months Promotion Codes For Sale on: January 14, 2014, 02:33:39 PM
I am another happy customer. A quick and painless transaction. So far he is a credit to this forum.
6  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report: Projects on: January 02, 2014, 11:05:01 AM
I defended Projects earlier in this thread, but it seems that something decidedly sketchy is going on here. It truly seems to me that pretty much no-one on this forum can be trusted. Sad times indeed.

Just to add, when I dealt with him he had a UK bank account.
7  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scam Report: Projects on: January 01, 2014, 02:14:24 PM
I think it's highly unlikely that Projects is trying to scam anyone. For the last year or so he has been a solid member of the community. I have personally bought and sold bitcoin from him in the past with no problems whatsoever.

On the other hand his account may have been hacked. Here's hoping that it all gets resolved.

11  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for a 9 month loan with a 7.5% interest on: September 22, 2013, 05:22:18 PM
You do realise you just came here and asked strangers to lend you £4150 right?
12  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: expertcoin begging via PM spam and admiting to hacking activity on: September 22, 2013, 05:11:37 PM
Wow, this forum truly shows me the depths that some people go to beg for money. It's pretty incredible if you ask me.

I'm glad that the spammer has been given neg feedback. He is even crazier than Joey.
13  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Let me share with you a SECRET. 20% Monthly returns Guaranteed. on: September 16, 2013, 10:52:34 PM
Stupid stupid stupid.

A millionaire knows how to make 20% compounding gains every month?

This millionaire does not talk, not now, not ever.

If "Maria" has $1,000,000 her 20% gains compound to about $80,000,000 in 2 years and $56,000,000,000 in 5 years.

Why is she wasting time on this forum? 20% monthly gains will eventually outpace even Bitcoins own growth taking into account the most optimistic projections.

Maybe she wants to be a benevolent benefactor? Some how I doubt it very much though.
14  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: I Challenge User PsychoKiller to Come Forward And Prove SolarWind Is A Scam on: September 15, 2013, 07:48:52 AM
The individual also requested a payment of 1 BTC to keep this 'proof' to themselves.

Send them a PM simply asking: "Do you know that extortion is a felony punishable by fine or imprisonment?"

I am sure it is just some kid trying to get free bitcoin not knowing what they are doing is illegal.

I expect that they know fine well it is illegal, they probably think though that the way these forums work, especially the Scam forum where people are generally guilty until proven innocent, they would be able to get some easy money as the OP would be scared into handing over the bitcoin.

15  Economy / Lending / Re: Help bring peace with your money on: September 14, 2013, 04:46:06 PM
Welcome back Dank. You are definitely a scammer, but you wacky craziness does make me laugh. I am sure you will provide much entertainment for all.

At least you put some creative effort into your scams I guess.
16  Economy / Lending / Re: 1.5BTC Loan, 2BTC Repayment in 7 days on: September 14, 2013, 03:49:15 PM
I am not in a position to help you, but I just wanted to make sure that you do realise you would be expected to hand over the litecoins first.
17  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: tkone is a cheater on: September 14, 2013, 03:22:25 PM
Is there a way to get Friedcat to freeze the shares/dividends associated with tkones nominated address until he returns to the forum and resolves this?

This is what should happen.

I actually disagree with this, it isn't Friedcat's responsibility to deal with such situations. The only time Friedcat would be responsible in my opinion is if someone is hacked and shares are transferred without their permission.
18  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING Scammed By btcstore.org on: September 14, 2013, 02:29:11 PM
The details of that person may not even be the person you dealt with online. Another part of the scam can be to purchase the cheap part from someone else and then provide your details so that the scammer is now an invisible 'middleman' of sorts.
19  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Rogue Customer - " Scott Deleon " on: September 14, 2013, 09:42:53 AM
Wow, I'll be honest if I was your customer I wouldn't be happy either. If I paid for a service and it only worked for me for half of the allotted time then I would be annoyed as well.

You have said a couple of times that you think it is reasonable to release your customers details with you as he has made false accusations, but I don't see where you are disputing anything that he has said? While I don't think you are a scammer I definitely think your customer service leaves a lot to be desired.
20  Economy / Marketplace / Re: SURVEY ON BITCOIN EXCHANGE on: September 14, 2013, 09:26:15 AM
I agree that trust is the key factor, in the Bitcoin community there has been too many companies that have ripped off their customers.

Another key thing that needs to be worked out is a stable system that isn't going to be affected by regulations too much. I happily used intersango for a while but unfortunately they ran afoul of the British banks.
