21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 19, 2014, 06:41:10 PM
never claimed to be one, but I know how they operate, inside and out. I've nearly 2 decade experience trading financial markets (stocks mostly), and altcoin trading is the same exact thing (including the trolls and FUDers), except on a smaller scale and things happen much quicker.

It also doesn't take as large of a bankroll as you may think to manipulate prices, i pushed the price down to 3400 with less than 5 btc. It's all about taking advantage of market sentiment (fear and other emotions)

as long as people don't leave large buy walls up, it is extremely easy to manipulate the price downwards.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 19, 2014, 06:29:54 PM
i've noticed because I was the one who drove the price down the last few days. Smiley and I did it without using any FUD tactics.
The subsequent spike to 4800 was also me, after I lifted all my sell orders from 3400 to 4200

I'm only sharing this secret in the recorded video of how I did it cus I've already got enough and don't want anyone else to get cheaper coins, especially these amateur whales that make me cringe
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 19, 2014, 06:18:54 PM
Who sold 23 btc? I hope it is the whales that are catching up this, otherwise it is doomed.
Almost zero activity-check
spreading doom talk- check

Fact: Propably someone trying to buy cheap so he is trying to start panic sell first. Doesnt work though.

Not trying to spread some doom talk, that was fact. I'm just curious who can be able to sell such large amounts at this price level. Not many traders can sit on that. Wondering where it comes from, one day before announcement...

Sorry if I was little harsh but look at the rich list...it propably was more people than one.

And people know tomorrow there will be reason for price going higher, so they are trying to lower price so they can repurchase more coins :-)

I've been monitoring the market as well over the last few hours, and to me it seems like someone is trying to manipulate the price. This EXACT same process happened two days ago, a few hours before the wallet update was posted. It seems like a few people are trying to push the price down in an attempt to acquire more coins before the whitepaper announcement.

I agree with you, looks like huge accumulation between 4000-3500 sat.  It will be interesting to see what will happen coming day(s).

If you look at it every time there's a breakout above 4K, "fake" sell walls appear and drive the price down and you see people panic sell into big buy walls. This process has been happening everyday for the last 4 or 5 days. It's nothing more than a few people trying to acquire more coins at this price level by suppressing the price.

You might be the only smart one here.

i'm only showing this because I've already got all the coins I need (willing to put in one basket) and don't want these FUDers to get them cheaper.
Don't get tricked into panic selling. This is what they are doing. You can assume that most of the orders up to 5000 are fake since most of it has already been bought up in the last few days. The only ones panic selling now are those who either bought at the lowest or bought in the spike up to 4800 and are selling at loss to chase other coins.

Notice how all the orders under 4000 are tiny? It's because they don't want to risk their own coins getting bought up in the process of pushing the price lower.

(pm for video)

Think about it logically, who would leave 10-20 btc buy walls at 3000-3500 for a week unless they had over 100 btc to play with? If 10 btc was their entire bankroll, wouldn't it be better spent investing in another coin? However, they aren't, which means they have a lot of btc to drive the price down and also push it back up. In other words, they are supporting the 3000-4000 range.

where do you see 20 btc sold at once on the graph? cus there isn't.

2.3 btc =/= 23

like i said, why sell when you know there is good news ahead? You are getting your coins stolen from you

uh, i only have that link cus i wanted free honorcoins. haven't kept up with the news or bothered changing my sig

No single person sold that amount, where do you see it on graph? stop making shit up.

Maybe you haven't been paying attention but there has been a lot of buying and selling going on the last few days. 100+ btc got bought up to 4800 so it could easily be the same people who bought those coins that are deciding to sell and chase another coin.

it wouldn't matter, because the price is dictated by the exchange with the largest volume / most users (usually mintpal)

That depends on many factors. Whale manipulation is truly the main factor that moves prices.
Most traders just buy low and wait for the price to go up. If everyone is doing that, the price is never going to move by itself.

The thing is that the market is saturated with too many alt coins and not enough investors to hold the price up. That's why most price graphs end up like blackcoin, but you can still expect the price to be higher than where it started simply because people who bought the majority of the supply at a high price are unlikely to sell at a loss, except out of fear or something actually wrong with the coin.

(pm me for the link)

Watch what the order book looks like after I remove all my sells.
Dirty, right? That's just one of many tricks whales use.

If i had all day i would sell into that 4 btc wall until it gets cleared out and push it even lower, knowing that i'll just get that 4 btc back at a lower price. (I don't even have to clear the wall myself, i could scare others into clearing it for me)
I wouldn't lose any money because my average price is much lower than this. However, I know there is very little supply below 4k at this point so I am not going to give up my coins cheap and risk having to buy them back higher. You saw what happened after it hit 3400 yesterday, it immediately bounced to 4000. I did that by doing what I just showed in the video.

Also, at this point I would only be benefiting the other whales who have 40+ btc in buy orders spread out below 3500. Think about it logically, who else would leave 10 btc buy walls up for a week unless they had over 100 btc to play with? Their money would be better spent investing in another coin, but it's because they have so many BTC they can afford to do this. In other words, they are supporting this price range and would not let it drop below 3k or they would lose money.

All you really have to do is take a look at this depth chart and ask yourself why the fuck are you selling? https://cryptrader.com/charts/mintpal/sc/btc

yea, i could teach an entire course on price manipulation. I've recorded quite a few videos for this purpose.

Anyway, the 30 btc that got bought up in the spike up to 4500 has nearly been dumped in the last 12 hrs so I don't expect this to go down much lower. I don't have time to sit around all day to push the price down so I'm gonna get what I can at the bid then lift the sell orders to show you what happens.

fuck. someone put up a wall lol so no cheap coins =\. well I recorded what I can to give you an idea of the impact of manipulation. uploading in a few min
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 18, 2014, 08:50:54 PM
ok, since the price is coming back down again I'm gonna push the price down as far as it can go and buy some more. I will record this and upload the video to show the panic sellers what idiots they are
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 18, 2014, 07:15:39 PM
i suggest putting some large walls up to protect your investment or to get more at this price, and not selling until this weekend. Someone is trying to push the price down back into 3500 and 3300. All of the sell orders up to 5000 are mostly fake, especially the ones under 4000. They will be cancelled once the whale gets what they want.
I know because I was the one doing it the last few days Smiley.

but now I have enough coins and i dont want anyone to get them cheaper so I'm telling you all this.  Don't sell your SC to chase cryptcoin or whatever, you will regret it.

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal / Cryptsy | FULL POS on: June 17, 2014, 05:46:58 PM

35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal | Last POS phase started on: June 14, 2014, 08:56:59 PM
stack more buy walls up. Don't let the whales and FUDers get any more cheap coins
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SilkCoin | New Wallet | NOW on MintPal | Last POS phase started on: June 14, 2014, 05:15:05 PM
just put up some walls from 4500-5000 and no one is gonna dump again.  When there are no walls, Fudders like to take advantage
