The source is slightly outdated.... that may be why there are issues (I think). I can zip up my windows binaries and post them here if you like.

Liquidcoin was different because the difficulty was meant to stay at 0.05 The difference is that the block reward is reduced by 4/5% every 4,000 blocks.
The minimum block reward will eventually drop to 1 LQC/Block with no limit on generation. This is all from memory, so please correct me if I am wrong.
Second... apparently the coin was not dead --- just... forgotten about for months.

DO NOT DONATE TO TRUECOIN! HE IS SCAMMING! Been trying to do the same with WDC yesterday.
Proof? Never accuse someone of scamming unless you have forum proof to back it up. Especially a Sr. Member of the forum. Sr. member is only postcount and doesnt mean squat. He was trying to scam people out of their WDC yesterday It takes a lot of time to up that count... believe me, I know. Even so, this is not the place for it. If you have an accusation with proof, post it in the scam subforum.

If I recall correctly, they only reason LQC dropped off the map was (well, it was an experiment).
Coinotron dropped LQC from their pool. Vircurex dropped LQC because Coinotron dropped LQC. People dropped LQC because Vircurex dropped LQC because Coinotron dropped LQC.
Etc Etc

Opinions Aside... I just loaded up the LQC client like after 6 months in the archive. I can't believe I can still find 5+ connections to the network.
However, the point of this coin was to keep reducing the block reward until it reached 1LQC/Block. Anyone know where the current block reward stands?

Can't you just ignore them? They are mostly silly projects that I would never use. But I find it hard to say that my monopoly money is better than yours.
LOL, I can picture this: "But my monopoly money has a crown on it." "But I'm only printing 1 of mine." "But mine is not money, it's a BAR!" Well, I guess the community will just have to learn, and the value of alts drop before real rallying behind good ones occur. You forgot gems
