Hmmm... can't attach the zip file here.
Working on an alternative now....

Doesn't compile here, spits out an error on OpenSSL's ECDSA.

Can't figure out why, my openSSL is fine and no problems compiling bitcoind or any other coins.

The source is slightly outdated.... that may be why there are issues (I think).
I can zip up my windows binaries and post them here if you like.

343  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] New Updated Coin LiquidCoin v4 'LQC" {REVIVAL} on: May 17, 2013, 08:38:56 PM
Liquidcoin was different because the difficulty was meant to stay at 0.05
The difference is that the block reward is reduced by 4/5% every 4,000 blocks.

The minimum block reward will eventually drop to 1 LQC/Block with no limit on generation.
This is all from memory, so please correct me if I am wrong.

Second... apparently the coin was not dead --- just... forgotten about for months.

Need a pool please Grin

Just have one of the P2Pool experts throw some numbers in network.py and fire up some P2Pools.
345  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] New Updated Coin LiquidCoin v4 'LQC" {REVIVAL} on: May 17, 2013, 06:44:08 PM
Last block count:  76,465
Block Reward: 2.24689974

I think it reduces every 4000 blocks.
If so, the next reduction is at block 80,000

Why wouldn't people just go to the github, download the source and compile it yourself?
https://github.com/nicksasa/Liquidcoin

Note:  This was LONG before nicksasa had problems on the forum.
This is the same code I am running now.

compile? what exactly is this wizardry u mention? where it the compiling program downloaded from?

"this wizardry"... lol.

Sorry, I forget I am a Linux person and I am used to downloading and compiling things.
It's as second nature to me as is you "Start, All Programs" people!

DO NOT DONATE TO TRUECOIN!
HE IS SCAMMING! Been trying to do the same with WDC yesterday.

Proof?

Never accuse someone of scamming unless you have forum proof to back it up.
Especially a Sr. Member of the forum.

Sr. member is only postcount and doesnt mean squat.
He was trying to scam people out of their WDC yesterday

It takes a lot of time to up that count... believe me, I know.
Even so, this is not the place for it.

If you have an accusation with proof, post it in the scam subforum.

349  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]LiquidCoin LQC bountys on: May 17, 2013, 06:07:37 PM
If I recall correctly, they only reason LQC dropped off the map was (well, it was an experiment).

Coinotron dropped LQC from their pool.
Vircurex dropped LQC because Coinotron dropped LQC.
People dropped LQC because Vircurex dropped LQC because Coinotron dropped LQC.

Etc Etc

Wow... the last block I mined on this pool was on 11/12/2012 and the reward was ~3.52 LQC.
In 7/2012 the block reward was ~10 LQC.

Even at 2.7 -- that's a long tail on the coin.
352  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]LiquidCoin LQC bountys on: May 17, 2013, 05:20:59 PM
Opinions Aside... I just loaded up the LQC client like after 6 months in the archive.
I can't believe I can still find 5+ connections to the network.

However, the point of this coin was to keep reducing the block reward until it reached 1LQC/Block.
Anyone know where the current block reward stands?

I am trying to setup a stable BB P2Pool now.
I'll let everyone know once I sort everything out.
354  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] QuantumCoin - The most unpredictable coin in the universe on: May 16, 2013, 06:42:28 PM
Bump... the quantum coin can't get near the anti-matter coin.
Lol...
355  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] QuantumCoin - The most unpredictable coin in the universe on: May 16, 2013, 06:33:29 PM
Does it work so that every input can turn out to be either valid or unspendable, and you can't know which until you try to spend it? I'm sure that would be useful.

Absolutely... plus, you are not allowed to monitor how much you mine.. that would disturb the wallet and destroy the coins!
356  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] QuantumCoin - The most unpredictable coin in the universe on: May 16, 2013, 06:28:00 PM
Features -- first it's here, then there... then in both places at once.
GRB Rewards will be given for annihilated coins....   they will be some of the biggest rewards in the universre!

357  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This forum needs to take action on new alts! on: May 16, 2013, 05:31:06 PM
Can't you just ignore them? They are mostly silly projects that I would never use. But I find it hard to say that my monopoly money is better than yours.

LOL, I can picture this:
"But my monopoly money has a crown on it."
"But I'm only printing 1 of mine."
"But mine is not money, it's a BAR!"

Well, I guess the community will just have to learn, and the value of alts drop before real rallying behind good ones occur.
You forgot gems  Grin
358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][YAC] P2pool - solid server - 1% fee - 50YAC for first 8 hour miner! on: May 16, 2013, 05:21:14 PM
Come on people we need more people in the p2pools, the botnets are winning!

Want a simple way to kill a true botnet?  Turn off getwork and only offer stratum.
This would force the botnets to work through a proxy -- raising the latency and making it impossible to get a block.

Just a thought   Grin

WTF? Pornocoin?

Please delete lolitacoin!
And ban the creator of it!

+1 centillion -- we don't need this crap.
