Betcoin.AG has been kind enough to host a tournament for us.

Some of you may say why betcoin.ag and not another poker site?
or why a 11mBTC buyin?
or why this specific time?

I feel this is the meet-in-the-middle solution!

Don't I have to type in the address somewhere along with the private key? Or the address automatically gets imported.
Thanks for all the info though.

Public keys are easily calculated from private keys.  Private keys are nearly impossible to calculate with the public key (brute force very large key space required).  One of the great reasons Bitcoin works!

I can confirm great success on Ubuntu/Chrome. Good luck OP!
90  Economy / Gambling / Re: CHAINBID.com - 1° Gambling with Unique bid auctions in BITCOIN on: November 06, 2015, 12:57:55 PM
Looks interesting.  I will be keeping an eye on things as you launch and probably try it out as well.  I am not quite a Jr Member yet, but can I get the special promotion you speak of?  Can you tell us what might be for auction when you launch?

Good luck!

What is wrong with python?  I am not a fan nor a hater. But curious as to why you are curious? Is there some fundamental flaw with python software that I should know about?

95  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transaction accidentally sent to Bitcoin Core wallet's "sending address" on: November 05, 2015, 08:16:40 PM
Sounds like the coins were sent to an external address that you have sent to before.  Try figuring out who owns that sending address and ask them for the money back.  Otherwise you probably won't see those coins again.
96  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why did you come to Bitcointalk? on: November 05, 2015, 07:07:57 PM
I came for the info, the fun, the help.  I hope to help new bitcoin users overcome any challenges with getting acclimated to Bitcoin.  Beyond that, you are all amusing Smiley
97  Other / Off-topic / Re: Pokerstars needs to start accepting BTC on: November 05, 2015, 06:53:31 PM
Technically, they wouldn't be doing nothing wrong since BTC is legal and not subjected to VAT in Europe so it would be like a workaround and not an illegal act.
All major companies do the same kind of workaround crap... why wouldn't they?

Bitcoin is not illegal.  Allowing players to bet from countries where it is illegal, is illegal.  It does not matter the currency used.
98  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Tx Fee on: November 05, 2015, 06:06:32 PM
Code:
Error: Invalid amount for -paytxfee=<amount>: '0.00' (must be at least 0.00001000 BTC/kB)

There you have it.  If you specify -paytxfee you MUST set it to .00001/kB or more.  If you want it to be 0.00 just leave the flag off, the default value is 0.00
99  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Happen If Gambling was not introduced? on: November 05, 2015, 04:30:47 PM
I imagine someone would have come up with gambling by now.  It is just human nature to compete, against systems, against others, etc.

Gambling is another form of entertainment as well just like going to a movie or watching a concert.  When used for entertainment value, I feel you always win.

Welcome!

As some others have said beware of loans on BTCJam.  I have had 0 luck there, someone always defaults and messes up the ROI even when spread out.  There just seems to be too much fraud there to make a honest profit.
