Try Coinmap.org
Wow man. Really cool website. Unfortunately the only thing listed on there for manitoba is WTCR.ca I bought a few block erupters off those guys a while back. Good people. Yes, it is very cool. There are a larger amount of physical places accepting BTC than I thought.. So since this map is new to me, I try to link it out to anyone talking about physical locations, since it's a bit of a crowdsourced site as well.

I'm sorry, but what's to stop BitFunder from going south tomorrow? Or did I miss something?

Under Pool options "load balance pool & server" is checked with a pool priority of 1) Eligius 2) Eclipse MC 3) Others. Mining Kernel is bfgminer
Where is that information at? Your pool priority number 1 should be the pool you are mining at, is Eligius the same as itzod? Pool #1 should be your desired mining pool.

It does have the option to switch it from bfgminer to cgminer. I've tried it both ways with various mutations on the syntax.
I just tried it again and had to stop and restart the miner. Did I just lose all the progress I've made over the last twelve hours?
From what I understand, you're not making any progress. But if you had made progress, stopping the miner doesn't rescind progress.

Try removing space after tcp. That'd be my first guess. Second, I'm not sure about that specific pool, but you should be able to log into almost any (every?) pool and see immediately hashrate.. or at least within a block. (Edit: As long as you are seeing "accepted" shares from the pool that is connected, anyway)
I have mined at BTCGuild.com, however. If you'd like to try them, I'm proof positive it is as simple as -o stratum.btcguild.com:3333 -userpass login_1:x If you still fail at your pool, you may try it. Make sure your worker is login_1, though. Or whatever you want.
Also, I've not used the BFL, but the kernal is BFGMiner? Does it have a kernal for CGMiner? Shot in dark here..
Is the path in that text for cgminer correct? Ie you don't need to point it to the file, you're in dos shell in the folder when you're opening cgminer? Or is it remote and needs to be pointed? IE C:\CGMiner\CGminer.exe -o url, etc. Could be the source, normally should give a command error if something is wrong.

Did you not imply that briber was "better" than no bribery? They still have the authority in this scenario, nothing is achieved except extraction of your wealth (what you were looking to avoid to begin with).
No, I was simply explaining something about America to Americans, and needed something to compare it to so they could see the difference. Again. I never suggested a solution, stop acting like I'm wrong about something. I'm not, you're quite defensive. I'll leave you to talk to yourself in here.

2. We are NOT the land of the "free"
America: McDonald's on every corner and Wal Mart in every town, but also red light cameras at every corner Cops busting your balls because you go 5 miles over the speed limit, or forget to use a blinker A society that claims to be equal, but is really only equal if you want the same things as everyone else (to cheat some system or win some game you think exists, simply because you have enough money to believe in things like that) Drinking age is 21 We to have tons of internet access and available wifi
Mexico: You have to travel long distances to get certain items, but it's usually cheaper. The police can be paid, some people see this as corruption, I see it as understanding. People don't need a police record for drinking while driving, or because they have a joint. There are other solutions to small problems. A society that is almost truly equal. Yes there is still a money gap, but the police hang out with the stoners, and the gang members go to church. I don't even know if there is a drinking age They have a lot less internet access and cell phone towers, but way more ancient history and modern culture.
The solution isn't bribery, it is rescinding the power of authorities to exploit you and steal your money. Instead we've institutionalized this mentality and glorified it on the Colosseum (COPS, where LEOS bag up drugs and trick people into buying them, while watchers cheer until their son can't get a job, can't vote, and has his constitutional rights rescinded as a second class citizen. Not so glorious then, is it?) And I love traffic tickets, camped out cops looking to steal grocery money from families that can't afford to further subsidize the state - they've already been stolen from every step of the way before even getting the traffic ticket. License to drive on King's road, registered vehicle necessary for King's road, once registered must have insurance for the King's cronies! All that to be extorted by your neighbor who thinks he is doing, essentially, God's work because he's been indoctrinated to the institutionalized robbery and terror of their neighbors, while being gifted a firearm (god forbid you have one as a private citizen, SUSPICIOUS CALL DHS) and nearly unlimited psychological authority. I never suggested any solutions, please recognize that this is a "compare and contrast" type thing. Did you not imply that briber was "better" than no bribery? They still have the authority in this scenario, nothing is achieved except extraction of your wealth (what you were looking to avoid to begin with).
