Cool, I had the same idea.

I registered some domain names and social media accounts for "BitcoinRadio"
http://bitcoinradio.org/

You may use the domain for free if you want. You can have all the social media accounts as well. And the facebook page. I set up a lot of stuff with that same username, even livestream and ustream account. Also a gmail account

this was the thread i started here. I mentioned PayPal there and got burned a bit and that was the end of that  Embarrassed

cheers for setting it up!

And let me add that I already registered social media accounts, website is running, I can do a web store with PayPal, have livestream and ustream account and even willing to purchase pro accounts if I find enthusiastic content makers Smiley

A paypal webstore for a bitcoin centric radio network, makes perfect sense!

haha indeed. I dont think I can program a bitcoin webstore, maybe ask someone for help with that.

Ultimately we want to go Bitcoin all the way, but I don't mind using PayPal to get started with stuff. And by the way we should encourage PayPal to start handling bitcoins as well Smiley
Then why do you feel fit to run a bitcoin radio network? Also that is a horrible idea paypal is worst than mafia and with places like

https://bitpay.com/
https://mtgox.com/merchant

we don't need paypal, honestly learn more about the bitcoin universe and then revise this idea, otherwise you will get slamed hard, for your lack of knowledge of bitcoin js

hmm I think you are right, I agree
Yes, it's pretty obvious to use just bitcoin merhcants, silly me Tongue

Any ideas on the program?

It's not my intent to make money out of the website right away, but if that may happen later on, then I will be happy to share that with all involved.

I would be interested in doing a show once a week.    PM me your thoughts.   We have a lack of content be produced these days.

Wonderful! Do you mind if I share ideas in open for now?

My idea was to have a bitcoin radio show aimed at the broader non-financial public. A bit of economic and financial talk may have it's place in the program, however I feel we as a community need to communicate the basic freedoms that bitcoins give us, to the 'non-nerds'
Talks will generally evolve around
-What is it?
-How can you use it?
-Why should you use it?
-New services and handy tools/software

Humor is always a goof theme to have, it doesn't have to be that serious. A bit of philosophy may have it's place, not sure...
I do love to see a common starting point and the general assumption of the show as follows: The financial system has gotten to corrupt to fix, so we need to take matter into our own hands and take power back.

Or we can have several shows with several themes off course and you may start off with the first one. It's all still open. And actually I just want to see what the community on this forum wants to do with it. I'd be happy to program the website to meet the needs of the content makers.

What is your idea?

Hey board

I got an idea the other day and I wanted to spread it around on the forum.

I'm setting up BitcoinRadio.org, a website and all the social media jazz that goes along with it. I'm willing setup and host for free and was looking for some good English speaking people that are excited to make radio for bitcoin.

My idea was to make the program accessible to the broader public, but because the project is in a early stage, I'm open for all ideas.

Any ideas, suggestions, volunteers.... Let's get the word out!

Thnx
Sam
