1881  Economy / Lending / Re: gurg2.o/kujoking7/westcoastconnect collections thread on: February 10, 2012, 03:09:38 AM
Wild, dark times are rumbling toward us, and the prophet who wishes to write a new apocalypse will have to invent entirely new beasts, and beasts so terrible that the ancient animal symbols of St. John will seem like cooing doves and cupids in comparison.

Wild, dark times are rumbling toward you, you fucker.  Get ready.
You have no idea...

IP release paperwork has been filled out and accepted. We are giving this guy one last time to repay his debts. It turns out that he didn't use tor as much as he'd make you believe...  Cheesy
1882  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Resolved] Another Scam report User: likuidxd on: February 10, 2012, 02:24:29 AM
Unless I hear otherwise, I'm marking this thread as resolved.
1883  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.info - Bitcoin Block explorer & Currency Statistics on: February 10, 2012, 02:15:03 AM
Theres been a ton a double spends showing recently http://blockchain.info/double-spends. Are there any merchants accepting 0 confirmations transactions who might be being exploited?
Dear God, this is awesome! It looks like a very strong majority of the transactions that hit you a second after the first one were ultimately rejected by the network.
1884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blizzard Battle.net Balance Launched on: February 10, 2012, 01:47:10 AM
Huh? You most definitely can "cash out". However, it's extremely limited in how you can do it. You can only cash out money that you earned from auctions, and only if you flagged that to happen at the time you made the auction.

(I'm a Blizzard MVP, so I keep track of these things...)
1885  Economy / Lending / Re: 4.88 BTC loan needed on: February 09, 2012, 06:13:08 AM
IP check is in process.
Sorry, forgot to update this. We do not believe this account was compromised.
Re-verified.
1886  Economy / Lending / Re: 4.88 BTC loan needed on: February 09, 2012, 05:53:22 AM
would the forum admin put a "scammer" by the OP's name?
as we all know, he didn't repay for at least 3 loans.

The paperwork's probably being done... if you want to put the scammer tag on him faster then PM Maged.
Has anybody tried contacting this guy? The paperwork requires a verified contact after a deal breaks apart (them logging in after they are PMed counts). Otherwise, we're supposed to wait about 2 weeks from when the deal was supposed to be completed to proceed.
1887  Economy / Lending / Re: gurg2.o/kujoking7/westcoastconnect collections thread on: February 07, 2012, 05:23:27 PM
Don't want to bother the investigation, but how do you know that the address is real?
This is a really good point that can't be forgotten. The best information I can give you are his IP addresses, but I'd prefer not to do the paperwork if I don't have to...
1888  Other / Meta / Re: The moderators/admins of this site are a bunch of criminal aiding morons on: February 07, 2012, 04:19:23 AM
Why?  Because of the fact that premium being "subjective" gives immediate validity to any comment made by Matthew or Bittenbob regarding the quality of the domains (not an age comment), and said comments are in direct reference to the topic of the thread.
And nobody was banned for that. Believe it or not, it's possible to argue the quality of a product without trolling at the same time.
1889  Economy / Lending / Re: [Found]130 Bit Coin Loan Request! on: February 07, 2012, 01:51:24 AM
I queried two other accounts, but insufficient evidence to have any more information released at this stage.
Please don't post stuff like that publicly without some kind of evidence. I have no reason to believe those accounts are connected to this guy.
1890  Economy / Lending / Re: [Found]130 Bit Coin Loan Request! on: February 07, 2012, 01:48:35 AM
Be on your toes, people. There are other accounts potentially used by this guy, but we don't have enough information to verify this. If you send me potential evidence that someone else is linked to this guy (even basic circumstantial evidence), I can confirm whether or not they are this guy.

Are you not allowed to perform a query for all accounts with that IP?
We can. However, we cannot assume that they are the same person without some kind of evidence. Hence the warning.
1891  Other / Archival / Re: Looking for a lender/partner to lend 75 ish btc and help with buisness on: February 07, 2012, 01:24:47 AM
Is this a sockpuppet by Maged to see if anyone will lend?
No, but that's a good idea... (if that ever happened, I would of course tell the truth if anyone asked this question, but I doubt it'd happen any time soon)

1894  Other / Meta / Re: The moderators/admins of this site are a bunch of criminal aiding morons on: February 07, 2012, 12:52:07 AM
There was blame on both sides, but there was an valid point Mathew made in that the "premium" domain names were not especially well used/valuable as they were being promoted.
And he wasn't punished for that. What he was punished for was the trollish comments he made in that post, such as asking if Vual was 12. If he had left things at that, the thread would have turned out much better.
When I joined this forum, it was (and still is) a punishing place for the ignorant or stupid.  Many posts were nasty and unfriendly.  It is a bit better now, but still easy to have someone randomly have a swipe at you for no good reason.  Someone new should have at least taken the time to learn about what they were getting into.
We don't want it to be that way, and we're doing what we can to fix that.
1895  Economy / Lending / Re: [Found]130 Bit Coin Loan Request! on: February 07, 2012, 12:39:38 AM
Oh shit! This is worse than I thought. I wasn't going to release the results of the IP check, but what we found was troubling: gurg2.o is kujoking7. westcoastconnect is also the same person.
1896  Other / Meta / Re: The moderators/admins of this site are a bunch of criminal aiding morons on: February 06, 2012, 08:11:12 PM
Matthew was much further off topic and was given a shorter ban, and vual wasn't doing himself any favors when children need a time out they ALL need a equal time out.
Matthew specifically asked me to remove his statements because he decided to retract them. If it wasn't for that, I would have asked for a much longer ban, likely between a week and permanently.

He barely saved himself.
1897  Economy / Speculation / Re: 94% correction? on: February 06, 2012, 08:03:26 PM
Interestingly enough, if you compare the magnitudes of each rally and assume that they will drop as much as the first rally as a magnitude of the percentage, you get a "perfect" estimate of a 33% drop from our high of $7.22, bringing us down to $4.81.

...God damn 33% percent retracement rule.
1898  Other / Meta / Re: The moderators/admins of this site are a bunch of criminal aiding morons on: February 06, 2012, 05:29:39 PM
Like I told deslok, I had nothing to do with this. Theymos made the call on this one.
1899  Economy / Lending / Re: 40 BTC Loan on: February 06, 2012, 04:35:33 AM
Is it possible to see if and when it was modified and by whom?
In fact, it is! All you have to do is change the board theme and anyone can see the edits.

The only edited post in that thread was the first post, and that was on January 18th.

Edit: It looks like the address is live, so I suspect that it really is a MtGox address. Hobo66, try logging into MtGox.

For the record, because Highway 596 didn't sign his post, I have no evidence that he is the person he says he is. The reason why I am whitelisting him is based on other qualifications that he has met.
