21  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] Red Star Mining - 180(GH/s) on: July 14, 2013, 02:47:25 PM
A few concerns, I'm not sure why we are planning on diluting the shares to buy what is actually going to be old hardware by the time BFL ship. Would it not make better sense to either A) put that investment towards another KNC for example or B) just save the money we make in the first 1-3 months of mining (growth fund - see sheet) to put towards more hardware, im not sure diluting the shares is the way to go, but then again, I'm not 100% I understand everything fully Smiley.

Why would it be better to dilute the shares in that way to attract new investment rather than "wait" and use the growth fund to buy the new hardware?

"To make the motion sweeter for old investors I may put to the motion.  That the new 30,000-40,000 new shares will be held in a holding account until the new ASIC's their paying for are hashing.  With all the dividends received from the 30,000-40,000 new shares while there held be used to buy more shares off the market until all the new shares are distributed.  This should help stop any mass dumping of shares until we have got a lot of hashrate behind us and help stimulate share prices as well for all investors." - I think I like this idea however.
22  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Sell] Avalon batch #2 by escrow, start at 60 BTC, cancel if it arrives too late on: June 28, 2013, 03:30:05 PM
No disrespect, but why blank out the blockchain info, you cant see the addresses - I dont think that proves anything. Also the amount on the order is not the same as the "payment" screen....

Either I smell a fish or I'm missing something

24  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putting a UK group together on: May 31, 2013, 12:28:58 PM
Interested in keeping tabs on this one.

I'm in the Northwest near to Manchester, I wont be able to get to Sheffield for tomorrows meetup, however I think having a few across the country is a good thing.

How about an overarching "group" for UK wide bitcoiners, with a sub group for the north and south, the more places people can meet the better Smiley
25  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Does anyone know of an e-bay like website that allows for payment in BTC? on: April 21, 2013, 09:56:49 PM

I have 111 shares, I vote to let you appoint tradefortress as ceo, and my thanks goes out to all who are able and have got the ball rolling.

I think a peaceful and fair solution to everyone should be looked for regardless, and if all else fails, we go to the police and put him in the hot water.

As was pointed out, this could be good media coverage for bitcoin, "bitcoiners deal out bitcoin justice to scammer"....love it.

I'd be happy to sell my shares depending on price, pm me with me offers (I dont get to check here much so may take a while to reply).

Cheers again.
27  Economy / Economics / Re: MtGox should roll back on: April 10, 2013, 11:20:51 PM
I might be inclined to agree on this, I find it really worrisome that one of the major players in the bitcoin world is allowing this to happen week in, week out - they should of halted trading at the first sign of a DDOS attack. I'll not be using them for much longer.

Disclaimer: I lost a lot of money today due to the lag to my views may be bias.

I usually tell people its rude to ask, it is the same as asking someone what you have in the bank - none of there bloody business (usually).

36  Economy / Speculation / Re: Resistance approaching on: March 28, 2013, 12:11:18 AM
So, if I go to buy a good quantity of bitcoins right now, is there going to be, like, a message that pops up that says, "This order will break the trend line on some charts, please reduce your order or sell all your coins?"

Wouldnt that be nice Smiley
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Block Generation Slow Today? on: March 27, 2013, 08:02:54 PM
I heard on the radio today there's been a slow down of the internet in Europe/UK - some hacker group protesting. Could that affect things?
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Bitcoin Relationship Thread: G/F or Wife Tales... on: March 27, 2013, 06:20:35 PM
Then she put her hands on her hips and told me if I was making so much money I needed to take her to a nice dinner or else there was no point being together! lol!

This would have me dump my Mrs straight away! Luckly mine understands I have hobbies and doesnt need me to be the centre of her world all the time..... but yeah, I sometimes get it in the neck also for looking at my graphs all the time....

Upto you... do you love bitcoin or your girlfriend more Smiley
