61  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: July 02, 2013, 04:44:11 PM
I have a backup pool added, but there are three options (I'm working from memory so I could be slightly off):

  • Balance
  • Failover
  • Load Balance

I have slush set as the first pool and eligius as the 2nd pool and I selected FAILOVER (that was the default setting).   What do these options mean?

I usually hate to give this type of answer, but give the cgminer README a quick glance, it's very detailed and well written.  For this you'd want to check out the MULTIPOOL section.
62  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [2] countdown! on: July 02, 2013, 03:55:14 PM
my order# 35xx .... should I submit a ticket, or just wait it out?!
It still says "processing" and I have gotten no shipment information.

You are basically at the ass-end of Batch 2.  No reason to submit a ticket, it'll arrive soon.
63  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - Batch#2 waiting list on: July 02, 2013, 07:41:04 AM
I RECEIVED MINE 5 OUT OF 6 UNITS TODAY!!!! YEAH PAID FEB 18.

Order number?
64  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon batch [3] countdown! on: July 01, 2013, 05:44:23 PM
I agree that a pro-rated refund should be issued since the price in BTC was calculated via ROI/difficulty estimates based on original shipping time.

That would be a very kind gesture and go a long way when they start selling gen 2 ASICs.
65  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon orders - batch #3 refund requests thread on: July 01, 2013, 04:31:03 PM
Has anyone opened an Avalon support ticket asking how quickly they can offer a refund and actually received a response?

How quick? you must be kidding? How slow is the correct word.
Not exactly. I opened a ticket to ask when they will ship my batch#2 machines. They closed the ticket without any explanation or notification in 3 hours after. Was it quick enough?

They dont like trolls like you. Just be patient.
PS: I just got my tracking # today.

You need to post this in 500 threads in the Custom Hardware forum, it's only fair.
66  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [AVALON] - I got my ASIC Thread (Batch #2) on: June 27, 2013, 10:16:50 PM
Bump.

I see a few people posting that they received/are running batch 2 avalons, but have not yet updated their info to this spreadsheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AluBwkoeuzdndG5GRk10Qk8wU0FDWU1DLUxCVS1CV2c#gid=0

For the people who received, please send a request to update (with your receive/tracking dates, order number, txid, etc) so we can better keep track of batch 2 shipping progress.

This will help us batch 3 pre-order customers make better informed decisions about requesting a refund.

Thanks!

It looks like the first batch of chips will beat Batch 3.  Ouch.  Shocked

I can't believe Josh can even show his face around here these days... his company is such an abortion.
71  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: June 19, 2013, 07:13:20 AM
Quick question:

TAT PT is now 64% of the way to a board seat.  Once he gets that, TAT PT shareholders will:

Once the passthrough reaches 5,000 whole ASICMINER shares (500,000 split shares) it may receive a board member seat. If board member status is confirmed, and Friedcat follows through with the plan to give each board member a trial ASICMINER mining board, any income generated will be shares as follows:

85% of the mining income will be paid out to the shareholders of TAT.ASICMINER on the same weekly dividend schedule ASICMINER currently uses. At the discretion of the TAT.ASICMINER issuer, these extra dividends may be distributed sooner.

Will this create a higher price for the PT shares since they'll be getting higher dividends?  Or will the dividends be so insignificant that it won't make a huge difference?  Or does anyone have any other analysis of this?

Also, this is my first post with my new avatar.  Pretty effing sweet brah!

Beware

72  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER Speculation Thread on: June 19, 2013, 12:52:04 AM
Even at the current 0.01557/share dividend mining rate, that would still be over a 0.5% dividend for a WEEK.  That's still pretty nuts, guys. Cool
73  Economy / Auctions / Re: AUCTION - 1 BTC Physical Bitcoin (2013) on: June 15, 2013, 03:00:00 PM
For a point of reference I purchased one of these from another seller for 1.15BTC back in early april (~$120 BTC/USD price).  Hope this helps and glws.

You're not going to find them at 1.15btc anymore. Now Casascius sell them @ 1.27 if you buy 50.

Ah, that makes sense, thanks for the correction!  Grin

where is my 20 @2.4 btc shares?
I can not see your action thread for 24 hours/day!

You got outbid earlier today.
78  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 499 direct ASICMINER shares on: June 12, 2013, 01:11:45 AM
We confirm that r3demon indeed has 499 shares of ASICMINER.

Thank you very much for taking the time out to not only verify these shares, but transferring them as well.
79  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 499 direct ASICMINER shares on: June 12, 2013, 12:30:20 AM
My mistake, it was up to 429 shares not 499. Ignore me. Except for my bids.
80  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 499 direct ASICMINER shares on: June 12, 2013, 12:27:50 AM
I think the 2.49 shares ran out and no one made a bid higher for 3 minutes.
