What's really funny is, that this account, was actually once created as an over-the-top parody of an typical bitcoin zealot. And even if it is totally over the top, it is still indistinguishable from an actual real bitcoiner  Grin

"bittard" is french for "sex addict" ... is that on purpose ?
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 23, 2018, 04:22:01 PM

Dude I can't wait until we have functional humanoid robots to help around the house. Screw sex dolls, it's utility that really counts.

That's their purpose, isn't it ?

Do we expect the bankers to allow a company called 'Robinhood' to exist for very long?

Don't worry, it's a false flag.

Also re: extinction event: Yes, but not because of anything climate related. Simply because we will run out of food.

We can make enough food for 9 billion people, or whatever number is being thrown around. If we can support 9 billion, we will overshoot and hit 10-12 billion. Then we will run out of food, and overcorrect to somewhere below 9 billion.

Billions of people are going to die. It won't be an extinction level event, but it will end the modern world as we know it. And it will be horrific. Enjoy!

Maybe it's not so dramatic.
You should watch this video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FACK2knC08E&feature=youtu.be
It's really interesting on the subject.
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2018, 08:22:38 PM

It goes without saying that low Co2 could have been at least one of the factors behind ice ages.

It goes the other way around : if it gets cold, the oceans absorb CO2 and you see it going low with a 900-years delay
If it gets warm, CO2 is expelled by the oceans and the level raises, again with a 900-years delay. That delay implies that if there is a causation, it can't be the other way around.

Ice ages are driven mainly by the  Milankovitch cycles.

46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2018, 07:45:35 PM
too simplistic.
The truth is always simple.

And the truth is that lefties are liars.

If you don't have anything factual, that can be communicated in three sentences or less, that can be checked by anyone with access to google within 30 seconds, it doesn't matter.

you get no argument from me re CO2 level. It might be irrelevant, and most likely is.
However, the rest of my post shows that we DID change this planet already.
This is not a political statement-it is a fact.

And this is another way of seeing it :

It's the purpose of mankind to dig the earth to recover all the carbon that the plants hid down there. Without us, CO2 would go below 150ppm and all life would disappear from the surface of the EArth.

47  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2018, 07:41:47 PM

Plus more than 95% of c02 comes from natural sources not human influence. "Climate change" is bullshit. It's just cyclical and perfectly normal variance.

I also see the argument regarding CO2 level as too simplistic.
Maybe there is no climate change.
However, one thing is difficult to argue with: human population affects on environment.
This is discussed less, because the remedies are unknowable.

Specifically, humans may be causing the sixths extinction event in planet's history.
For those who would argue that it is "natural"-no it isn't because it is happening too fast-within 100-150 years, not millions of years.

https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/jun/19/humans-creating-sixth-great-extinction-of-animal-species-say-scientists

Quote
Under a “natural” rate of extinction, the study said that two species go extinct per 10,000 species per 100 years, rather than the one species that previous work has assumed.

Modern rates of extinction were eight to 100 times higher , the authors found. For example, 477 vertebrates have gone extinct since 1900, rather than the nine that would be expected at natural rates.

Unfortunately, the way it may develop would be either for us to go non-biological and, hence, have little imprint on life OR natural habitats would become so stressed that extremely effective life forms would arise and finish us off one way or another.

(snip)

I'll just drop this here (it's one among 1000's) =>

48  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2018, 05:38:25 PM

We were burning forests way before we burned coal and oil. In fact, any living creature affects the weather. I understand that at least one american state has legislation regarding cow farts.

But more importantly, co2 is not a pollutant. On the contrary, it's plant food. Which is food for everything else. The more co2, the more oxygen, the more life. It might just be a good thing.

I totally agree with this. CO2 is a good gas. Earth is greening because of it and people stop dying from starvation.

What convinced me is that CO2 absorbs all the energy in its absorption bands after 10 meters of travel in the atmosphere.
So if you double the CO2, you just make this number becoming 5 meters, and nothing warms up more than it does already.

Keeping in mind of course that things like math is still a theory. Hypothesis may be a better term.

Blame my poor English skills

Also also keeping in mind that it's the left that are going on about the weather.

Yes, the matter is highly political. leftists and globalists uses this as FUD to promote their agenda.
What bugs me the most is that they falsify science to do that.

I'd be quite happy with lower temperatures. Winter is more enjoyable with proper powder snow, and summer wouldn't make me stay inside 24/7 if it didn't cause me to sweat all fucking day.

On that note, I've read about an upcoming mini ice age a few times. Is there any recent update on that that confirms or rejects it?

Vast question.

- climate is whether over 30 years. So it's too soon to tell.
- There was a global warming during the last 100 years of about 0.1°C/10years
- No more warming since 1998, once you remove El Nino/LaNina effects (which cancel each other in time)
- Sun is probably having a period of low activity, that doesn't change much the energy it sends to us, but less activity (= less spots) means less magnetic field, means more cosmic rays reaching our atmosphere, meaning more seeded clouds, thus more albedo and then cold coming in... but this is still a theory
- look here for the latest temps : https://moyhu.blogspot.fr/p/latest-ice-and-temperature-data.html#NCAR
- best site ever for these questions : https://wattsupwiththat.com/

- last but not least : cold kills; warm weather makes our life easier.

All I want is a dump to 10k. Is that so much to ask?

It did a retrace up to the daily MA-100, I don't think you'll get a better deal before some time.

A Polish Youtuber, with around one million subscribers, was paid circa $30,000 by the Central Bank of Poland, in collaboration with the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, to portray cryptocurrencies in a negative light without disclosing the payment in the video.

Quote
The Central Bank of Poland has admitted that “it carried out a campaign on the issue of virtual currencies in social media,” without providing any further comment on the matter.

https://www.trustnodes.com/2018/02/17/polands-central-bank-secretly-paid-youtubers-slander-cryptos

imagine how many government agencies besides the central bank have engaged in such fuck-up propaganda. and now add the 180 other countries besides Poland and all their agencies/departments. and now add all the private companies besides agencies like private banks, clearing houses, credit card companies, etc, etc, etc, etc that fear/hate bitcoin.

now you know why there is an never ending rotten spill of shills, bitcoin-doomers, haters, distractors, trolls, fuck-ups in this forum. they are all paid. they are professional trolls. ignore them, don't quote them, don't read them. their agenda is to sow FUD inside your brain... don't let them.

fake news, false flags, hybrid wars, fud, social engineering, alarmism, trolls, wrong science, ...
what wonderful eon we live in ...

Aha! I knew! FOUND IT (proud  Cool )

You are such a fucking pain in the ass, PoolMinor.

Your whole point seems to be that you want to make a BTC price prediction; however, you cannot just come out and make your supposedly marvelous prediction like a normal person. Instead, you want to get some kind of credit and praise and begging and DRAMA regarding how amazing your are, and therefore, you are trying to suggest that you had been correct about some thing BTC related in the past that you saw in a past BTC price trned/prediction from a year and a half ago, and so therefore there is some kind of connection in your logic or the charts or some kind of smartness that you supposedly have about today that is connected with your previous supposed smartness?

(...)

Epic !

May I please get September 1st 2018? Nobody got September and I love September. Since I am a latecomer I will donate the entire sum if it happens to be me. Sounds good?
If you snatched the prize from somebody who would have otherwise won, I don't think they'd be too pleased about that, even if you do donate your windfall. You're working with new information now that wasn't available to the other participants, so you shouldn't be allowed to compete.
One of the reasons (there are more) I picked 28/08/2018 is because it also covered a good part of September.
If it is allowed to pick new dates now, it should also be allowed to change the previous picks too. Maybe even the ones that already "lost" because maybe (or surely) they would have picked a later date now.
Fair enough, I actually agree with you both. My bad I was not around to pick a date to participate in mic's contest. I'll keep that date in my mind though  Wink

Beside, It's far easier to guess now than a month ago.

Yeah yeah. I get you.

There are running bots. They are good at running. Like that cheeta bot.
There are aim bots. They can aim. See stuff.
So there's robocop right there, but how does it know good from evil, right from wrong. It's going to make a mistake.

....

As the very first purpose of this is going to be "move randomly and kill everything that moves", it doesn't really matter to distinguish good from evil.

remark : antipersonnel mines do the same job for cheaper.

*sigh* no. IQ tests are simply pattern recognition. There is nothing cultural about it.

Pattern recognition has nothing cultural about it? I disagree. Try a "spot the pattern" competition in the Amazon forest against a local. Yes, you can use your calculator if needed (hint: it won't be).

This kind of pattern.

Not "spot the snake in the tree", not "which of these four hats is not like the other", just a few simple lines.
