If you have a lot of money tied up in btc its not a bad idea to create a key pair in a totally secure environment and make sure the private key never touches a possibly dirty pc.

Bitcoin is essentially the equivalent of anonymous cash on the internet. You have btc scammers just like you have scammers everywhere else. Bitcoin is just a semi safe way to screw someone.

As has been mentioned but sites like bitvisitor is a very very cheap (fractions of a cent) way to drive traffic to referral links.
