Interesting, I already thought it was dead.
"Turning point" still sounds painful to Gox user's account balance...

I can agree that FIAT ROI vs. BTC ROI folk can never be converted to the other camp.
Let me offer the only piece of advice in crypto that I have found to be 100% true (to date). Do not ever invest your crypto holdings in anything that is tied to fiat. Feel free to invest your fiat in something that converts to crypto, but never the converse. I've failed to do that in two discrete instances and it has cost me dearly.
But one thing is for sure. You won't hear me blaming someone else for my decision to violate the above rule.

The problem with setting up a trading platform is that it is illegal. The SEC will not sanction a trading platform for securities that are not regulated unless LRM goes through the trouble of proving that all the players are qualified investors. Most of us are likely not in that category.
As I see it, the only long term solution is a decentralized exchange (like mastercoin or colored coins or some equivalent). Has anyone kept up with the dev status on any of the decentralized exchange solutions?

When comparing diff increase with hardware delivery and quantity, it appears quite imperative that LRM get in on an ASIC project as an owner. Delivering ASIC hardware at cost can quite likely get this PMB back in front of the diff curve and help us reach ROI. ASICMiner is the perfect example of just such an approach. I'd really like to see our share price trading above 0.15BTC again.
A PMB is not a perpetual motion machine. In order to stay in motion, it must have some input source. In this case, our "source" is installing hardware at cost rather than at wholesale (or even near retail) price. Otherwise, in my opinion, we can all go home and watch the clock run down.

Hi all, I'm currently working as a full time .NET C# developer but looking for an interesting project to work on in the evenings and weekends to fill the boredom of the winter nights and hopefully earn a little extra income. I've been writing software for over 10 years now and have experience in C#, Perl, PHP (websites too but most people can these days) I can write software for Windows or Linux, so if you want a Windows application that sits in your systray doing something cool, or want a script or bot written for your Linux server then give me a shout. I've also spent many years as a systems administrator so available for advice or work in that area too. Drop me a pm with an idea that you are after and I'll see what I can come up with as long as it's sensible and legal Cheers, Vert. Vert, Are you still looking for a developer gig? I have a trading bot I need programmed for starters on BTC-E.com. I would like to look at the trade api on cryptsy.com too. I would prefer it developed in PHP, but I would need quite a lot of assistance to get it up and running once you coded it. NDA would be required for the algorithm. I presume that would not be a problem, correct? Thanks, Rusty

No fix, no charge. We will return card regardless (unless you don't want it and we will refund return postage).

Not interested by the Neptune LabRat ?
Too many unknowns on time to market - especially since they held the line at the $3 per GH. Never again will I be left in the position of wishing I had bought BTC instead of hardware. I'll leave the hardware purchasing and sustainability rubric associated with that to LR for now. Preach it Brutha' BKM! Hardware receipt dates and chasing difficulty both kill all likelihood of making a measured calculation of risk. If you don't have large scale relationships with manufacturers, you have no business buying mining gear. I believe that LRM is the closest thing I'll ever get to mining BTC again. I believe LRM has the contacts, the relationships, and the buying power to stay ahead of the diff curve.
