3282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transactions speed prevent us from going to Mainstream ? on: November 21, 2015, 10:15:43 PM
I always thought a payment can not go thru if it doesn't have at least 1 confirmation no matter how small it is.
Even below the miners fee.
3283  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best bitcoin wallet on: November 21, 2015, 09:56:19 PM
Personally, I use Coinbase as my primary wallet, storing the bitcoins from recent transactions. Until it reaches the point where I would feel pretty bad if the bitcoins got stolen, I would move them to my Electrum wallet, on my computer. I haven't reached that point yet Smiley
So you are confident in Coinbase's service to store bitcoins there, even a small amount?
3284  Other / Meta / Re: Who runs this board? Emergency please help on: November 21, 2015, 08:49:33 PM
The moderators run the board while the big bosses are away.
Th founder was the father of bitcoin who handed the reigns over to Theymos/Sirius who then endowed powers to BadBear and then he gave some privileged few access to manage the boards.
Think of Theymos/Sirius as CEO.  Wink

3286  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do You Earn Free Bitcoins? on: November 21, 2015, 05:38:34 AM
You earn by doing a service that is worth value to someone or some company. Like advertising.
There are plenty of sites that offer bitcoins for work that you do. If you have a skill such as programming or designing websites and logos, there is high demand for those skills.
You just have to search for those sites, they are around here. Just have to look.
Have a good one bud. Wink

3288  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn Bitcoin with Bitcoin? on: November 21, 2015, 02:38:18 AM
I am trying out faucets since you don't need to invest in them and they are easy to complete. It does not pay too much but it is free so no need to complain.

3291  Economy / Gambling / Re: Any advice to start gambling? on: November 20, 2015, 01:36:31 AM
gambling doesn't bring you happiness so why start. If it is for pleasure try something else. If you are going into it trying to make fast cash, don't do it,
3292  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: November 20, 2015, 12:49:44 AM
Don't think you can safely retire with bitcoin. It is not a stable currency so in 40-50 years you don't know what it will be like. You are gambling with your future if you were totally to rely on it for security Roll Eyes
