1  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 5.5.0: CPU/GPU/FPGA/ASIC mining software, GBT+Stratum, RPC, Linux/Win64 on: February 02, 2018, 04:24:52 PM
--pool-goal name:malgo=keccak
That did the trick. Kernel is now keccak. But it's not generating any shares... ccminer does, on the same pool. OpenCL problem? ccminer uses CUDA, could that be the problem? At the same time it looks like the stratum diff won't come down from 1.02k on BFGMiner. ccminer adjusts the stratum diff down to a much smaller number after just a minute or two.

Code:
bfgminer.exe -S opencl:auto -o stratum+tcp://pool.smartcash.cc:3333 --pool-goal name:malgo=keccak -u xxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx -p xxx -L logfile.txt

How do I get Keccak to work on OpenCL? I've tried setting --set-device OCL0:kernel=keccak, --set OCL:kernel=keccak and so on, but it still keeps loading the poclbm kernel.  Huh

Imo this is the most exciting project right now...Though I wish I could've bought more but that's life

They got my interest too! And also wish I had more BTC...  Roll Eyes
Glad I made into Tranche 1.

I woke at 04:30 AM (GMT) so I could made it into Tranche 1 too, I'm glad I did too but I must confess that I'm a lil bit "dissapointed" that the other tranches are not selling so well...

Equibit seems to have some interesting things (like the supernode for example) but I think they are lacking a bit in terms of marketing.

Not trying to FUD or anything, as I said, I bought quite a bit of EDC (more than 1000). Mineable coins always attract people (Pascal, Zcash) + low supply + based on bitcoin code (poloniex friendly) + segwit by default which will attract even more attention  = good ROI

As I said, my only grip is that the marketing skills are not the best (maybe they should hire the guys that help ICONOMI with marketing)

Best,

It does, thanks a lot Jorge (Spanish Speaker? I'm from Spain actually)

How many coins have been sold at the pre-ICO? :

http://equibit.org/post/investor-opportunity/

People who buy now are already paying x5!

And is the total supply 21 or 22 million coins? Article above states 21 million, but ICO page states 22 milion coins?

Thanks for your answers!
That's an old post, I believe they changed the pre-ICO to $2/coin. They sold around 60k EQB in the pre-ICO.

Equibit Jr. Member...What role do you have in equibit?:

Chris Horlacher (Chief Executive Officer)
Brent Kievit-Kylar (Chief Science Officer)
Marc Godard (Chief Technology Officer)
Nathan D. Wosnack (Chief Operating Officer)
Christian Saucier (Lead Developer)

I find it strange that four hours from the start of the ICO you are offline.
In Canada's Toronto are eight o'clock in the evening and then I do not think you are already sleeping.

Who can confirm these devs are real and legit? OP seems inactive nowadays, but ICO is coming, it is very strange. I doubt this project is full of fake identities in the dev team.
Why don't you check for yourself? http://bfy.tw/9pEv. Same procedure for every name in the list.

Bitcointalk is not exactly their main advertising channel, don't expect replies within minutes here.

Higher tier price is too expensive, I doubt some people will buy those more expensive tokens, IMO people will give up buying expensive prices, unless they buy the cheapest ones.

My fear is they won't know. Ie. they will send 1 bitcoin on crowdsale launch expecting to be getting in at the $2 price, only to find out 7 tranches have been bought in 1 big order and now they are paying $9.55 per EQB instead of $2.
I wonder why so many people worry about the ICO. Remember that you are dealing with highly educated and seasoned individuals. These guys are not the average 15-year-old altcoin kids that struggle with remembering the difference between bits and bytes. You will likely not be able to send BTC without knowing what you are paying for.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Equibit - A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Equity System - ICO February 1, 2017 on: January 24, 2017, 11:18:11 AM
Based on the performance of other recent blockchain project launches EDC management has estimated the
total market capitalization of the Equibit Platform could reach into the hundreds of millions of US Dollars within the first
year of operations.
It's very unprofessional and irresponsible to make this sort of statement.
How precisely did you make this estimation?
 It seems way too optimistic.

Quote
Accordingly, EQB shall be sold during the pre-sale at the following price points:

TrancheEQB OfferedCumulative EQBPrice (USD)
1100,000100,000$2.00
2100,000200,000$2.50
3100,000300,000$3.13
4100,000400,000$3.91
5100,000500,000$4.89
6100,000600,000$6.11
7100,000700,000$7.64
8100,000800,000$9.55
9100,000900,000$11.94
10100,0001,000,000$14.93

So if they are right and there is 3.6 M coins (after one year), it will have to have a market cap of $7.2M just to break even if one buys in the forst tranche.

If you buy in the last tranche it will have to have a market cap over $50M just to break even.

Quote
After one year there would be approximately 3,628,000 EQB in existence
What people need to know is the total number of coins absolutely, not just after one year.

If Litecoin has a market cap of $180 million, with no real advantages compared to Bitcoin, who are you to say that Equibit won't reach a market cap of hundreds of millions with its unique use-case?
The total number of tokens when they have all been mined will be 22,000,000 (22 million), 1 million tokens created for the ICO and 21 million tokens mined. If you had read the ICO's Terms and Conditions properly you would have seen this:

Quote
The mining process will create fifty
(50) EQB per block with the amount halving every 210,000 blocks. The initial sale is directly related only to the first
process. Any unsold EQB from the initial block shall remain in the control of EDC and to be used at the discretion of
EDC management.

Does that look familiar to you, eh? Same reward halving scheme as Bitcoin.

As the project seems to have attracted a lot of attention and interest already, there is likely a large number of people wanting to participate in the ICO, is the ICO platform ready for a rush of buyers, hardware wise? A crashing platform could stir up feelings among potential buyers.  Smiley

This is the clone of R3D. Made by the same people and is likely to follow its destiny. If ure not aware R3D was a bittrex ico capped at 1K btc that came a cropper and resulted in a refund. This one will come down the same pipe. Chime in and put ur money where ur mouth is, u will incur a loss and wont ever recover from it.

Proof?
Just FUD, ignore it.

So what happens if 2 people send btc at the exact same second? Considering the fact that distribution is linear and pretty limited
They have most certainly implemented measures to prevent that from even being a possibility.

I don't think that without escrow the investment amount will be high. If only from bct-newbies that read nothing, and hope for freebie. These type of investors like to participate in "black holes", like Lithium or Taskie Wink. So let's wait for information.
Have you even read the information available yourself? There's a great whitepaper and the ICO terms are already set. You're too stuck in the Altcoin universe. I find it hard to believe a company which has raised $150,000 and is valued at $3 million would need an escrow.
