We are now in the denial stage. People are wishing they got out higher but it's too late.
Lol. Learn to read a chart. Thus far we haven't even touched the 50 ema on the daily Atlas is more about theatrics than facts. There are no facts when it comes to something as emotional and subjective as value. Sorry, but it is a fact that we haven't touched the 50 ema on the daily chart. I don't think a 10-day EMA applies that well in a market this illiquid.

There's also very little risk in selling right now. It's easy to buyback with little to no loss until the end of Monday.
You have balls^^ Selling at 11.98 and buying back 12.20 is a great loss:) But you might be right. Don't forget that there are normal business days ins Japan and Poland. Your wires can reach your MTG account. It's not going back to 12.20 any time soon. "any time soon" was very short^^ There are hardly any bids at 12.20. I can't even redeem the coins I have hedged at that price. I am led to believe this is a fakeout.

And again the master of puppets walls
Well, when this 2k ask wall is gone we'll go up to 12.30 in no time. And this funny walls tend to disappear like a some people's brains. Nope, there isn't enough cash flow at this moment. There is a banking holiday tomorrow as well.

People are buying it up ~12, therefore it goes up from here, not down.
My 2 satoshis
Here's why your reasoning is lacking: There's more or less 300 BTC above 12 USD. That is not a strong resistance at all. Below 12 USD, there's no support until 11.80. The buys you are referring to are miniscule. The day is only starting. Even if you there are people buying, the sentiment right now is bearish. There were still major selloffs this morning and yesterday. Things may change Monday when the banks open depending on other factors but with GLBSE gone, I think things may remain bearish. I see no reason for people to go crazy over buying Bitcoins this time of year. I figured my noob assessment of the market was wrong. But, I'm more of a glass is half full kinda guy. Truth is that no one knows what the market will do. Just gotta wait and see! You were not proven wrong yet. I would be curious to know, Atlas, what do you mean when you say "there's more or less 300 BTC above 12 USD"? This sounds like a gross misinterpretation of whatever you are looking at. My 2 satoshis - maybe buyers step in at 11.8-12 later today, but if not then some of the biggest resistance of all lies at 11.58. Also, compare the volume on this pullback with the volume from the August 30-31 pullback to the 50 ema on the daily. Interesting, that last touch of the 50 ema on the daily happened on a long weekend as well (US banks closed Monday, just as they were on the 1st Monday in Sept.) The first statement was regarding the market earlier this morning.

Economy / Speculation / There are signs men are trying to push their luck at selling at a higher price.

I see it.
-A 253 BTC bidpusher here, bids above appear; the wall is gone.
-People build up asks in the 100s of BTC to 12.04. These were bought rather quickly despite continued asks of this kind.
-Every major sell comes with a buy that reeks of desperation.
What does this mean? Some men need to sell higher soon to make a bigger buck. A decline is coming.
I remain convinced the sentiment remains bearish in face of yesterday's affairs. We are heading into Fall and Winter where Bitcoin sales are slower. GLBSE has closed down which served as a somewhat vibrant mining marketplace. There is legal uncertainty in the air.
Bear is the game for the moment and it will probably continue into the week.

I actually think that the more able members of our society have a duty to help the weaker members, so I don't have any weird libertarian fantasies.
One time note: We simply want to make the weak stronger; not dependent on the strong. Anyways, illicit activities are the future.

Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Nefario

Tell the shareholders and Nefario that you want an instrument drawn up by an actual lawyer which indemnifies you against any liability for losses suffered by users/issuers as a result of you handing over the funds. If they're going to pay for Nefario's legal costs, then they can pay for a lawyer to draft an indemnity, too. You have as much right to protect yourself legally as Nefario does.
That might be a good idea. I'll think about that. straight out of college
Heh, I'm in college. Theymos you really need to take repentance advice. He’s right; you should protect yourself and stop acting as an officer working for GLBSE. You should want to release the funds to someone/anyone and wash your hands of any responsibility. If the authorities are really looking into GLBSE you want to distance yourself quickly if your only connection was as temporary custodian of one account. Theymos knows what he's doing. He has his identity covered very well, most likely.
