1  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [NR 1] Triplemining.com <> BIG jackpot every week <> on: June 03, 2013, 06:28:46 PM
Hi, I just joined TM a few weeks ago and was looking for some clarification on the jackpot. Does each user get a chance, or is it per worker? Also, do you stop including users who are inactive?

Curious about my chances to win. Smiley

thanks

It does look at a little concerning. lack of pics, detailed specs etc when the release date is so fast approaching. On the other side though is the fact that BFL is already established. 170$ risk isn't a big risk for a lot of miners though. Just a newb interpretation.

In case anyone else has the same question. I saw that someone added the 7870 to the hardware comparison wiki, OC at 1165 at intensity 8 gives me the best results so far 420 mh/s.

Hello I'm a super noob I just learned about bitcoins yesterday. Right now I just downloaded GUIminer and got it working but its only going between 6-7Mhash/s. Just wanted to no if cgminer is faster or there are ways to increase speed without overclocking
I haven't tried guiminer but have been told that cgminer tends to have better performance. cgminer has a pretty sparse interface which might be daunting if you aren't used to command-line (CLI) type applications.

I have found some pretty large differences in performance depending on your settings. For cgminer I started with the base settings and turned up the Intensity till I got a good mh/s average, for me it was 7 stock, 8 overclocked. You wont want to use the PC with these settings though, leave it at a low intensity if you aren't running dedicated, or set it to "d" for dynamic.

Hi all,

Fairly new to Bitcoin, but have been exploring it on and off for the past few months. Now that I have a fairly decent GPU mining is actually a fair propositon for me, so I just got started a few days ago with cgminer on Win7. So far so good. Have been experimenting with the different settings and have been able to get 420 mh/s from my 7870. exciting times.

Does anyone know of markets/exchanges in Canada besides virtex? Fees are very high.

Thx looking forward to the BTC madness.
8  Other / Beginners & Help / New miner using 7870 (need tweaks) on: September 11, 2012, 06:08:23 PM
Hi all, just joined up and doing well with my 7870, not the optimal GPU but I'm averaging 406 mh/s with 1100 OC and  intensity at 7 using cgminer

Just wondering if anyone has some tweaks to suggest to up my rate? I have heard others are getting 430 mh/s

thanks!
