1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bolivia approves the use of crypto as payment for fuel trade. on: Today at 11:41:57 AM
Bolivia might not have a big economy, but it seems we are seeing an example of a nation that is using crypto as an alternative to the dollar.
This is definitely big news because countries are no longer fully reliant on the USD, especially now that Bitcoin is accepted worldwide. If countries like Russia are already using crypto to bypass sanctions, then other countries can do the same (even if they are not sanction) as long as they have exchanges where Bitcoin and crypto can be traded. This is a great development since crypto is gradually gaining more power, and it’s now being used for major international transactions.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2025 NBA Season on: Today at 10:15:53 AM
People got amazed on that 3 pointer made by Bronny, but people got more amaze on the performance given by Knecht and Reaves since both of them score 30+ which totally give a problem to Nuggets. They almost got the heads of Nuggets despite the absence of their stars and imagine what's going to happen there if Lebron and Luka plays.
That was almost an upset, and bettors probably lost money on that game since most were likely betting against the Lakers on the spread. But the Lakers covered, as they only lost by a single digit. Reaves is seriously underrated. he deserves a max contract when the Lakers renew his deal.

But seriously Lakers need to win they are already in 4 losing streak and it will be bad if they continue to lose since Warriors might gonna take the 5th spot. So lets see what's going to happen and people provably want to see Lebron goes back on the court together with Luka.
That’s tough, but the good thing is they’re still in a playoff spot. Let’s just hope they snap this losing streak soon and that LeBron returns ASAP.
3  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More opportunities on: March 14, 2025, 09:58:09 PM
I think it’s only a form of excuse hearing those people that they will only invest when bitcoin price turns cheap and affordable. Reality is, if a person is sure to invest, he will resort into doing DCA regardless of its price. Because in all honesty, we don’t know when bitcoin price will drop a lot, so that also means that these people aren’t sure to invest or do not have actual plans to invest for future benefits. They will only see the real opportunities in bitcoin if they really have the will to invest.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoiners should stay positive despite the current dip on: March 14, 2025, 07:47:19 PM
A dip is a sale, a pump is a test of fate.
Why would a pump be a test of fate? maybe a test of temptation of selling for those who have been holding for so long?

That's how it should be seen by most enthusiasts out there.
Sadly, that's not how it goes for most of the enthusiasts. What people think of when there's a dip is that it's now going bear market, and everyone needs to get off to the market and wait again until the bulls arrive. Worse, they think that it's the time now for the market to collapse.
That's what newbies fear in the market, seeing the price going into dips and believe that bitcoin price will not recover again, and eventually leave the market. But we all know this is not the case for bitcoin. When it dips, it opens new opportunity for us to buy more and hold more. Because after this, there's a big pump waiting ahead. Although it's not guaranteed but most likely, it's always the case with bitcoin.
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2025 NBA Season on: March 14, 2025, 01:22:57 PM
I think next year will be the start of their full force for their roster. I think even if they are in full roster they can still compete with strong teams since they still don’t bond well especially Fox.

Wemby just got CP3 as right partner since most of his recent teammates is so dumb to give him the ball always.

Next year, I expect Spurs to be on the higher spot.
Wemby should be healthy next year, and with Fox, they’ll definitely improve. It’s a shame, but even with that, I still don’t see them making the playoffs. Then again, OKC was in the same boat before, struggling during their rebuild until they figured out how to win games. Now, they’re the best team in the NBA. Since the Spurs are made up of young players with great talent, there’s a strong chance they’ll find success too. So let's give this team few more seasons and maybe for Wemby to gain more muscles.
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: There is no need for bankroll management in a game of luck on: March 14, 2025, 05:37:49 AM
Those who lack proper bankroll management end up not knowing when to stop and when then win,  they continue gambling until they give the money back to the casinos.

We know when to stop, but knowing when to win - that’s the tricky part.

So in reality, bankroll management isn’t about knowing when to stop, but more about having a structured strategy where we bet only a certain percentage of our bankroll. It’s a way to measure discipline, if we stick to the rules we set for ourselves, that means we’re gambling responsibly.

For example, if we decide on a 5% per wager rule, we need to strictly follow it. If we start going aggressive, that’s a clear sign that we lack discipline, and that’s where most gamblers end up losing control.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Ryan Garcia vs. Rolly Romero, Haney vs. Ramirez, Teo vs. Barboza on: March 14, 2025, 05:23:57 AM
The most important message that we should learn is King Ry and Eddy Reynoso have become friends again with the assistance of Canelo. I speculate that King Ry and Eddy Reynoso will give each other 100% commitment on the rematch against the crying Devin Haney heheheehe.
I love that, that’s how it should be. This rematch will expose Haney’s weaknesses, and King Ry has already proven he can beat him once. He should be able to do it again, but this time, without any accusations of using illegal substances for extra strength.

I’m already excited to see the betting odds...
I’m pretty sure King Ry will still be the underdog, which makes the bet even more appealing to me.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2024-2025 betting on: March 13, 2025, 09:49:38 PM
Bucks -6.5 at home no rui or lebron and luka a gtd, think the bucks roll as the lakers are a terrible matchup for giannis.  Can see him get 35+ points here tonigjt.

This might be the easiest pick tonight. With the undermanned Lakers, I don’t see them beating the Bucks, especially since Milwaukee is coming off a 3-game losing streak and will be hungry for a win. So, I wouldn’t even be surprised if this turns into a blowout victory for the Bucks.

Good luck on your pick!
9  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2025 NBA Season on: March 13, 2025, 09:32:27 PM
I’m still looking forward for OKC but it will be very tough for the to survive even the round 2 of the playoffs in WC.
You can trust them..they’ve improved a lot this season. A number 1 team getting an early playoff exit has happened before, but not this time.

Dallas is out, so the team that eliminated them last year won’t be in their way. Maybe this time, luck is finally on their side.
Sure, the West is stacked with strong teams, but OKC is number 1 for a reason.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian finance ministry, central bank weigh crypto trading pilot for top-tier i on: March 12, 2025, 03:07:56 PM
Why is this kind of decision coming from the government? Why are they being selective in using such criteria on this, am sure this is not a deal that is going to stay long because those they have targeted this for will eventually see no benefits from it than being  affected by their regulations.
This is just a pilot program, so it can still be revised over time if there’s a need for changes.
As for its purpose, it’s pretty obvious that they want to minimize risks, as big traders are more capable of handling market fluctuations.

In short, the government doesn’t want the responsibility of educating small traders who might end up losing money due to the market’s volatility and unpredictability.

Also from other end of this, we should see it as a way of continuity for the adoption of bitcoin and it recognition by the governments, this time, they are only implementing on this in favour of the big holders, what about the consideration for the other people.
They can still trade on exchanges operating outside Russia, but the catch is, those platforms aren’t regulated by the government. So while it’s still possible, it comes with more risks since they won’t have the same level of protection or oversight.
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Can I grow and Build My Reputation Here? on: March 12, 2025, 02:21:55 PM
So, the information you’re getting is wrong if you think ranking up is the same as growing your reputation because you’re still a newbie, and your rank hasn’t changed.

In that case, what you actually need is to earn merit to rank up. If you have enough merit and your activity meets the requirement, you’ll eventually rank up. The problem is, you’re just reading and not posting, which means you have zero chances of earning merit. Merits are only given to valuable posts so if you’re not posting anything worthwhile, you won’t rank up anytime soon.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WOMEN ARE BETTER TRADERS on: March 10, 2025, 06:48:32 PM
That's stupid. It's basically a remnant if identity politics and DEI which were dismantled in American society recently.

In fact, only if you have experience will you be the better trader. And this goes for all other fields as well.
Gender reveal won't guarantee that this one is worst while the other is better. Everyone is capable to trade and create a better performance in trading, regardless if you are a man or a woman. With adequate amount of knowledge and experience, one who aims to trade will turn into a better or best trader, without bringing the topic if it's a man or woman.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some people are thankful to Trump for Bitcoin's price boom. on: March 10, 2025, 06:05:40 PM
Some guys in the area are saying that Trump is the reason why Bitcoin got to $100k last year and even surpassed it this year. Do anyone of you here have same thought?
In my opinion, wiithout the US presidential election, Bitcoin would have still surge to $100k last year or this year. There's no reason to give unnecessary credit to Trump as the god that made it possible for Bitcoin to quickly catapulted to $100k. Do you agree with those people that are giving credit to Trump? What do you have to say.
You are totally wrong, because Bitcoin could never have crossed the $100k benchmark if Trump's influence was never involved, because if we are to take a look at the price of Bitcoin before the U.S presidential election, we could noticed Bitcoin was valued at $63k per BTC, and immediately we saw that Trump was already getting the majority vote during the period of election, Bitcoin started skyrocketing, proving a sign of his influence, due to the huge promises he made during his campaign to the crypto community, to create a conducive atmosphere for crypto businesses across globe. Because the truth of the fact is that Bitcoin would have still be struggling between $60k to $80k per BTC If Trump wasn't involved.
Part of me would actually agree that Trump made of where is bitcoin right now.  However, this suddenly vanished when Trump has slowly remove his mask and show to us his hidden motives by favoring more on meme coins and slowly get rid of bitcoin in the picture. I don't know if anyone has seen this, but right now, all I know is that Trump has been using bitcoin after all.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your strategy when your bankroll is down by certain percentage on: March 10, 2025, 02:04:25 PM
When I lose all the money I intended for gambling, I stop playing for a while until I have some extra money again, I don't chase losses, I don't increase my betting amount.
You lost all your money, so you don’t even have a chance to gamble anymore. But OP is in a different situation here, he’s worried after losing 50% of his bankroll, which makes sense. Anyone would feel the same because at that point, the urge to chase losses kicks in, and discipline gets put to the test.

But here's the positive thing, recognizing that you have a bankroll means you’re taking gambling seriously and aiming to win long-term. That’s exactly why discipline is  important as it’s the only way to manage your bankroll properly and avoid going broke.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: A New Alternative to Traditional Stablecoins? on: March 10, 2025, 01:13:02 PM
This DEUSD is new, so how can we trust it over USDT, which has been around for so long and is already accepted on major exchanges? And if its value drops, then it’s not really a stablecoin anymore. A true stablecoin should only fluctuate significantly if the USD itself devalues, which doesn’t happen drastically enough to affect us that much.

It’s simple: we convert to stablecoins temporarily while the market is bearish. Then, once the market recovers, we buy back in. In the end, that strategy still puts us in a good position.

Maybe DEUSD needs to get listed on a major exchange first before it gains real recognition. Right now, its 24-hour trading volume is barely $20 million, while USDT is already in the billions. The difference is huge, and without that kind of liquidity and trust, it’s hard to consider DEUSD as a serious competitor just yet.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it normal to play responsibly and feel disappointed when losing? on: March 10, 2025, 12:14:04 PM
Because you're human, it's completely normal to feel sad when you lose.. who wouldn’t? But as long as you know when to stop when you're already losing, that sadness will eventually pass. You’ll be back to gambling again anyway.

That’s just how gambling works, sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. But if you’ve been doing this long enough, you already know the truth: there are more losses than wins.
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Two Safety Tips for Newbies on: March 10, 2025, 11:20:10 AM
Storing it online is a big no-no since it’s vulnerable to hacking. You should take every precaution to keep it safe like store it on a flash drive, write it on paper, and hide it in a secure place. But don’t keep it in just one location, because you never know what could happen, disasters, theft, or simply losing access to it.

If possible, the best solution is to memorize it. As long as you’re alive, your key stays with you, making it the most secure storage method, just make sure you don’t forget it.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to stop? on: March 10, 2025, 10:39:54 AM
When one loses money he or she won't be able to bear or stop thinking about, it's easy for such one to chase after it to see if he could recover..
Another factor is addiction to gambling, those who are addicted to gambling are always looking for new challenge, it's one of their ways of enjoying gambling, and chasing after their loss is one of the norms for them.
That’s just human nature, we crave revenge, and that’s why we gamble. But the problem is, we’re fighting a losing battle since the edge isn’t in our favor. The more aggressive we get, the faster our money disappears.

The real issue is that we don’t always stick to gambling only what we can afford to lose. That’s when it starts feeling like gambling is ruining our lives, when in reality, it’s our own lack of control that puts us in that situation.
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: One of the biggest gambling hub in PH is now closed. on: March 09, 2025, 12:23:53 PM
Senators say it ruins the lives of the poor, but there’s also a positive side to consider. Instead of a total ban, maybe there could be efforts to educate people about responsible gambling. A harsh ban affects everyone, including those who play responsibly.

Only one senator said that, but that’s how they see gambling that it can ruin the lives of the ignorant and irresponsible. In the end, it’s the same thing. The government loses tax revenue from POGOs but gains it from PIGOs. The problem is, it comes at the expense of the poor, since they’re the ones who gamble the most. The majority of gamblers come from low-income groups.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to stop? on: March 09, 2025, 11:43:55 AM
This varies from person to person. Some people get addicted to gambling because they can’t control themselves. If we don’t correct that habit early, there’s a chance we might face serious gambling addiction in the future. But we have control over ourselves, so we should do our best to manage it. We can’t guarantee we won’t make mistakes, but at least we’re taking action to recognize and learn from them.
