Bringing in Benzema might not be the best option for club's future, but I think Lyon shouldnt think about future for now. They need to concentrate on their current effort to escape relegation. Benzema could be a big help for their current situation with his experience, skill, familiarity and love for the club. His recent form is not too bad for a team that is fighting at the bottom of the table, but the risk of spending a significant amount on a player who might not meet expectations are valid concern, because it could cost their plan for future.

There are two different opinions, Benzema is no longer useful because of his age. But there's also the opinion that if Benzema is still good he's just in the wrong team, because he can still be a good example for young players. Al Ittihad doesn't have good support for Benzema on the pitch either. So that he cannot be maximized. His stats aren't bad though. So if he goes to Lyon maybe he will be the solution or the problem is still difficult to know. It is impressive to see how the three top teams are doing right now. It's all about winning for them and Inter Milan is still one game behind, so I think the positions will be switched very soon again. Inter Milan will be the favorite as host but for Juventus this is an important moment that should not be missed so they will make every effort to win the match.
