1  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: November 06, 2016, 03:42:49 AM
Hey guys, I got a PM from an userID: SATMS
So did I. User is indeed satmas. I reported the message to a moderator, but this smells as hacked account.

Full phishing message follows:

Quote
Hi RedGolpe

I've replied to you, i hope satoshidice comeback online soon:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=774929.2640  <-- redirects to bitcointaik.org
I'm not sure if you edited that link on purpose, but you should've done a better job at trying to frame me for phishing. If you hover over the link, the link turns green(and is therefore, an actual bitcointalk link).
2  Economy / Gambling / Re: SatoshiDICE.com - The World's Most Popular Bitcoin Game on: November 05, 2016, 09:32:57 PM
The database server seems to be down.

I can understand technical problems, in times when even large enterprises with far greater resources than SD are struggling with DDoS attacks and the like.
But your communication definitely needs to improve to maintain trust.
Just a few words would be enough to calm some nerves.

Nicely put.  I PM'ed Cyrus when he was online but didn't even get a response to it either.  Wonder how long this is going to last.
Edit: I got a message from another person (SATMAS), was told that hopefully soon. <--------  Fake, phished accounts
Edit 2:  Got a reply from Cyrus, he said he has no idea.  So thats all good, at least with the reply.

Hey guys, I got a PM from an userID: SATMS  He phished my account.  Here is the PM message that was auto-forwarded to my email:

"Hi nummusVVV

I've replied to you, i hope satoshidice comeback online soon:

Reply to this Personal Message here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;f=inbox;pmsg=5344918;quote;u=664980"

I clicked on the link cause it wouldnt let me reply with the reply button feature on this site, thinking not much of it, i was prompted to type in my info.   I was able to recover my account info and change the password.  For those of you have your satoshidice user ID (EMAIL) and password the same as the account on here, I recommend getting that switched out ASAP, in case he logs on and takes your funds if there is any.
This isn't true, this acc has no evidence of this happening and I can give my account details to a mod to make sure that I haven't sent anything to this guy. Edit: Can I ask when this pm was sent? Edit 2: You'll notice that the quote(post made by RedGolpe isn't clickable like in a few threads about phishing link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=253190.0, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=781494.0 and https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=781494.0.) although I have no idea if that counts for something though.
3  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Pre-paid card to recommend? on: November 03, 2016, 09:43:20 PM
I'd recommend Uquid because with Uquid, you can use the cards anywhere in the world and it works with paypal. It takes up to 1 hour form what I have seen so far for Uquid to confirm a deposit though.

I have received the payment. Thanks betcoin.

He still is selling and people are still doing deals and giving him the benefit of the doubt against just that one negative that is showing from a trusted member for me atleast (KWH's trust given as of now).
KWH is in DT 2(check your trust settings), so their trust feedback should show for everyone regardless of who they are.
6  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump on his last leg? on: November 02, 2016, 11:46:36 PM
Does anyone realise that if Trump manages to cut the taxes on American citizens, where are we gonna get our money...

Interesting question.

Who is the "we?"
The United State's government(sorry, probably should've worded that question better) Edit: I'll fix that now.
7  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump on his last leg? on: November 02, 2016, 11:31:46 PM
Does anyone realise that if Trump manages to cut the taxes on American citizens, where is the United State's government going to get the money(if you say it's from trading with other countries, where are we going to get the money for the goods) that come from taxes? Here's an article on Trump and his scandals: http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/10/donald-trump-scandals/474726/, and here's some on Hilary: http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/10/tracking-the-clinton-controversies-from-whitewater-to-benghazi/396182/ (I'm not sure if theatlantic is any credible, this is just the first page result for "candidate's name" scandals).
8  Other / Meta / Re: New services subforum for Signature Campaigns? on: November 02, 2016, 09:56:33 PM
If we split the services subforum as stated in the OP, wouldn't we have to do the same thing with the altcoin signature campaigns?
9  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why human escrows are too slow? can't AI beat Human in this case? on: November 02, 2016, 09:43:39 PM
Sorry, but no, even if it could work, you'd have to trust the person who coded the AI in the first place. Even then, you'd need someone to mediate a dispute between the involved parties(like Lutpin said) in case one does pop up. The bot also wouldn't be able to look at screenshots properly like a human could.
10  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WARNING - cryptonator.com - LOST COINS - propably SCAM on: November 02, 2016, 08:25:37 PM
I have created online wallet on cryptonator.com and I lost my coins.
This site improves minimum incoming transactions without sending any info about changes to users.

What we can read on this site:
Quote
Incoming transactions below the above mentioned minimums are not processed by our accounting system and will not be credited to your account. We are also unable to accumulate smaller payments or return it back to sender.

I have sent some coins to my online wallet created on this site (at 11.05.2016) and all was lost, but new limits was set at 12.05.2016.

https://www.cryptonator.com/hc/en-us/articles/203324122

If I lost small amounts of coins at begin of use, what will be when I or You collect more coins?
I think it's not worth the risk.

Would you be able to provide a proof of your false statement, please?

Did you notice that we have reduced limits on that date https://twitter.com/cryptonatorcom/status/730386234661601281?

You obviously just didn't notice the minimum transaction policy, despite it is announced on our website, Help Center and of course inside users' accounts. We believe, that your lack of attention does not give you rights posting false statements here or on any other public boards.

For everybody who wants to get the real picture, just visit our website, switch languages and read reviews in English, Spanish, French, German or Russian. We have over 130K users from all over the world.
When there's a scam accusation against someone, we don't want reviews, we want evidence. Since there's no evidence as of now though, I"ll give you the benefit of the doubt  Grin.
11  Economy / Reputation / Re: Despised Icon-- ALT of Atari--,Logan-- and now flooding the forum with new accts on: November 02, 2016, 04:24:48 PM
Why would you care though? It's untrusted feedback so it won't affect your account. If you are annoyed by the pms just ignore the accounts(and any more alts that you find).
12  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: This user should be Ban by Trolling ! on: November 02, 2016, 04:06:54 PM
Ya but where was the Trolling though ?
I'm guessing that the trolling part is that Galer cheated his own giveaway using an alt account.
13  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin with PayPal? on: November 02, 2016, 03:35:58 AM
I just want to clarify something - some services offer PayPal to BTC conversion and you will most likely be able to use PP to purchase BTC that way.
However, PayPal is treating Bitcoin as foreign currency and in their ToS you can find note that using PayPal as a currency exchange is prohibited.
If they somehow discover that you purchased bitcoins with your PayPal your account will be frozen.
Coinbase buys bitcoins from people using Paypal now. Here's an article on that: http://qz.com/713528/paypal-is-warming-up-to-bitcoin/ (there's plenty more articles on this news, including a link to one from epicnpc).

15  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Buying Bitcoin with PayPal? on: November 01, 2016, 10:02:15 PM
...

I have not seen this addressed here (but have not looked very hard either).

I recently joined eBay, and one item I won ONLY had one method of payment: PayPal.  So I signed up (had to).  I have seen various references to using BTC to pay via PayPal, but what I am more interested in is BUYING BTC with PP.  Currently I have no inexpensive ways to buy BTC that are not a hassle or otherwise difficult (BTC ATMs around here charge a mighty 14%, Circle is now unusable for me (more crap they now want me to do), and localbitcoins is rather hard and slightly risky to use).

Anyone pass me a tip to buy BTC via PayPal?  Thanks!

Hey! Try to use Localbitcoins.com - https://localbitcoins.com This time-tested service who has earned a good reputation.
Read the OP, they don't want to use Localbitcoins. You can make a thread in the currency exchange section of this forum, just be sure to use escrow and don't deal with scammers and newbies(ideally you'd want to trade with trusted users). Here's a list of trusted escrowers that you can use to make your trade safer. Edit: Since when did Coinbase start accepting paypal? I thought it was only for people selling bitcoins.
16  Economy / Lending / Re: FatCharley's Loan Service - "NO COLLATERAL? YES LOAN!" Newbies OK! Red trust OK! on: November 01, 2016, 09:33:51 PM
Can't you guys read? The OP hasn't been on since the 29th of September. Hopefully these newbies get negative trust for trying to get loans without collateral.

Mods won't delete the thread for you. You'll have to delete(or lock) this thread yourself via the bottom left of this thread.
19  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM ALERT] 1000$ AWS CREDIT CODES 💥 Total 1000$ AWS credits in stock 💥 on: October 31, 2016, 07:52:14 PM
Seriously why hasn't any of the admin done anything with those scammers yet?
Admins don't like to get involved in threads like this because it could lead to bias so because of that, trades aren't moderated. I'd ask for any evidence of scams(chat logs, proof of payment, etc.) but the reaction from the accuser makes this seem pretty clear cut(post it anyways so we can see for ourselves).
