441  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: bitcoin-trader.biz on: August 12, 2014, 06:11:18 AM
I am no longer doing weekly updates on my shares 139 shares. I will be doing either bi-weekly or monthly. The amount of incoherent rambling on this thread is intolerable. Here is the update, everything is going very smoothly still.

By Nov. 23rd I should have my initial investment. BT Trader could be a scam, no doubt. For me, its within an acceptable degree of risk for my 4 btc. Again, only invest what you can afford to lose. Some people here seem to have forgotten that this is my money, not yours. If I lose it, so be it. So far though, you have missed 8 months of spectacular returns.

Why do you even report at all? If it is a scam, and even if it is by off-chance, do you really want other people to lose money because of you?
442  Other / Off-topic / Re: What would you do if you received 20 bitcoins? on: August 12, 2014, 06:02:51 AM
I'd stash it away to my other bitcoins, so that they can cuddle and make small BTC babies.
443  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it legal to sell bitcoin in person for cash? on: August 12, 2014, 06:02:18 AM
This depends 100% on where you are from. Also it depends on the amount, if you do it with bigger amounts you might have to create a business.

Been a week and still no 3500, where is it?

You will get about 700 right now. Times of >3000 are long gone Wink

They are still giving out the 3500 I heard? Did they stop?

Yes, even if you signed up a week ago, and just receive stellar now, you will onyl get about 700 now,
Only 150, I believe. The rest is held back until "infrastructure will be ready in your region." lol.
Oh, they went down even more. Good to know.
445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: stellar going up on: August 12, 2014, 05:42:10 AM
Which exchange let people buy stellar? Do they have a working wallet yet?

Justcoin.com

Yeah they release their github code, you can compile it yourself!

Is it even illegal to bring money?

If you don't declare it --> yes.

It is called capital control.

So I dont understand, why don't she declare it?

MAybe because she hasn't paid taxes for it?

There are several reasons for this actually.

452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin TANKING...opinions on future outlook both nearterm and long term? on: August 12, 2014, 05:32:30 AM
obviously trading vol been too low of late so someones taken the advantage to play the market  Smiley

too many people saying they'd top up on ltc if it falls below $5 to have it not bounce imo.

That is what they say. The orderbooks say otherwise. Doesn't look too good atm!

funny thats exactly how I arrived at my conclusion   Wink

Yeah, but nothing can be done really, if it starts to seriously tank, then the measly orders that you and me could put on are dust in the wind!

well speak for yourself (i'm already one of the largest ltc holders and have been for quiet sometime).

you do know alot of the big buys and sells on ltc (and btc) aren't done via the exchanges most here frequent? so if there is a big sell/buy on the exchanges its for a reason Wink

Sure. But if those big Buy/sells take the exchange rate as an indicator, then it is still incredible important. The orderbooks are slim and that is an indicator that the demand for that coins is not so healthy anymore. There are always people pushing their agenda by manipulating, but to say everythin is due to that is pretty risky Wink

Put it this way I saw the average 24hr vol traded of ltc stay pretty low of late, and was tempted myself to dump on the open market with the sole purpose of increasing my holdings Wink someones just hit that button and done it for us Smiley

no complaints here, just sayin it is what it is.....

Ok, but what I am trying to say is, that even if it was one guy manipulating, the people selling now are not the manipulator but people that lost the hope and further decrease the price. Hardly the result that the dumper wanted Wink

I think it is always so funny, when right before a new type of chip is about to be launched (two weeksTM) the hashrate spikes Wink

Want some more good karma and feedback?

Thank you!!!!!!

I just did an exponential growth of the money give away :-)

If the other people dont believe me, just ask hfleer when he clears his public wallet :-)

cheers.

as I said, this is my second day holding a wallet and the 1 btc I just bought from Coinbase is burning a hole in my pocket :-)  [note: it will take me 3 days before I receive my 1.01 btc from coinbase.]

cheers.

Oh, did you send another payment to me?

456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Black Tuesday for altcoins! on: August 12, 2014, 05:07:07 AM
I've been working on a variety of price-weighted and cap-weighted index concepts for alts...indexes that do NOT include BTC, which has lately been 93% of the total market cap (though now more like 94.5%).

It just doesn't make sense to me that one can't compare one's alt portfolio with some kind of benchmarks, and if the 2-3 indexes out there have BTC (they do), that comprises the vast majority of index movement.  If I can't find an an index, I'll use my own for market direction and portfolio management.

For what it's worth, I have six different index concepts I've been toying with and they are all down 20-30% since last Monday morning.  Selection is based on combined cap and volume figures.  I've been re-balancing every two weeks,  but considering changing that to every week.  The one with the least number of coins has 31 coins that are not BTC, and, in that one, no LTC, either. Probably saved that one from oblivion!

Is it consistent with the ~30000 BTC being drained from then for Ethereum, StorJ, Stellar and Syscoin?

Well stellar also went down.. so the downtrend of other alts is not because of stellar.. maybe is because of the price of bitcoin that is going down..

Stellar is still up xxx% this last 10 days.

"Who wants Free Money?"

Everybody, but there is no such thing in the world.

Hhat about that time I found the free 5 dollars on the sidewalk? :3

Someone else lost it.
458  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do people who rent out Mining hardware earn profit? on: August 12, 2014, 05:06:02 AM
Can't say if they profit, but at least they lower they risk because they have a pre-determined income from the hash power, also they surely sell the hash for more than they would obtain mining popular coins.

So it is a better business than just mining, I guess.

Yeah guaranteed payments for the renting period is a huge advantage. Didn't think about that.
459  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice vs Dicebitco vs Edendice on: August 12, 2014, 05:04:59 AM
Primedice is very reliable in payouts.

Dicebitco.in is very nice but not sure if you can fully trust them already.

Really? All that BTC invested and you don't trust them even a little? PD is known for payouts taking ages, and they have payout problems almost every week. DiceBTC has paid out cashouts over 60 BTC before.

The site is barely 3 weeks old. What are you talking about?
460  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Will my college dorm room be able to handle 3000W? on: August 12, 2014, 05:04:14 AM
That won't help if they are on the same circuit. I doubt his room will have two of those.

True, and since its a single room the likely hood of that is very slim, if it was a 3 person room, perhaps.

Yes, but a 3 person room has 2 other persons inside it. Cheesy

Imagine your roommate mining 24/7 and your room has 90 db and 40c constantly.
