When is litecoin going to be supported? for btc-e, you already have everything in place for the api, can you make it trade LTC please.

An old meme in probably the best incarnation I have seen it in:

Ive watched it several times and my heart goes out to our trapped brethren taken in by this prolapsed set of tool bags.

Get a refund, sue, report to the FBI, SEC and be thankful you are alive to do these actions.
5  Economy / Services / Re: B-BOT: New BTC-E and MtGox EMA Trading Platform on: July 29, 2013, 11:54:20 PM
I have a question Fible.

If I am running the bot from two different computers, and say one bot has different settings than the other, which one actually sends requests, or will both attempt to at the same time?

this is fine, as long as you have different api keys assigned to each one. The nonce on is something to be aware of.

6  Economy / Speculation / Re: Goomboo's Journal on: July 25, 2013, 01:54:26 AM
I have actively used this both for fast moving volatile trades and some long standing intraday trend based trading/investing.

It served as my light to guide me to a very sizable 500% margin in 8 months. Some days I traded heavily with some quite sharp and clear stop lossing using EMA X/EMA 2.1x. Some periods I load balanced and some days I walked away, in fact the chart looked so bad a few weeks ago, I didn't trade into bitcoin for 2 weeks, it was volatile and down trending. I made a lot of money on these "short" trades.

I feel that some days/weeks the market can be ranging too finely to show a profit with the extra slippage caused by volatility and other bots. So then I just switch EMAs longer.

This is one of the good strategies for long term effective decision making.

7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How come there is such a large btc price difference between mt gox and btc-e? on: July 17, 2013, 11:56:39 PM
most of this is wrong. the reality is that people do not transfer money onto the other exchanges.

why would you trust bitstamp when its ripples fbuddy?; ans: you shouldn't.
why would you trust btc-e when it is russian or polish?; ans, you shouldn't. site is in russian, bank is in poland etc etc, its ambiguity is good AND bad

SO, nobody trades from Gox to other exchanges unless they want to lose 5-7% buying power, they just don't do it. they HAVE to have a very good reason for performing this action, stocks LTC, other coins with a profit larger potential, safety.

They get in, get their stuff onto their private wallets and sit. OR they trade on Gox.

The buying pressure comes from Gox's ability to attract customers, A LOT OF THEM, more customers transfer money to them and buy bitcoin than ALL the other exchanges put together and doubled, possibly trippled.

Also dont trust Gox either Wink

Bitcoin Decentralized Fund - BDF

The Pitch:

We, the distributed, have recently completed a decentralized trade engine, this will form the framework of your new Bitcoin Decentralized Fund - BDF. BDF's trade engine is not open source, it is not for sale and we are not interested in making discussion about its performance parameters. Suffice it to say, it is not magic, and it is certainly not the latest and greatest in future predicting multi-dimensional quantum logic computation with quantum electron pair communication. It is, however, proven profitable (at least 20% above base rate per annum). The system and engine is very scale-able and we work for our fee to provide a safe investment. The only detail we will release on the engine's inner workings is that it uses a basic stop loss measure when trading.

Security is important:

That being said, when you provide the key to us for your dividend and withdrawal, your security is something you should take very seriously, please employ basic measures to protect yourself, use of paper/offline wallets, anti-virus, firewalls, screen/keyboard and operating system privacy protection measures, avoidance of interaction with public networks and wifi tethered terminals, if you think the computer you are using smells bad, walk away. And do not give your address/private key to your Boyfriend/Girlfriend/Wife/Mother/Father/Aunty/Sooty the Cat, unless you absolutely intend that they keep it, should your amicable relationship become sour. Keep your money safe and backed up. We also do not advise that you pour all of your savings into our fund, in fact, if we think that you are over committed for any reason, we reserve the right so send your funds back. We will not be held responsible for loss of funds. You can talk about our reputation, rate of return on investment, the size of the dividend, our accounts, discuss whether I have bigger boobs than my partner, and otherwise demonstrate your rights of free speech, of course.

Our Proposition:

The minimum level of interest in the fund is 10 bitcoins ( btc ) and the maximum for any single user is 100 bitcoins ( btc ) . You are not buying shares, you are renting our management time and computers at 15% fee of profits.

You will receive to your selected address, a dividend of 40% earnings, in arrears (you get paid for last months earnings), paid monthly on the 2nd day of each calendar month and subject to a minimum two weeks deposit.

The rest of the profit is divided inside the fund, your account will receive 30% profit accrual (profit earned which can later be withdrawn), 15% is loss buffer insurance (added to account for withdrawal but not actively traded), 10% is spent to run and secure the engine and 5% is our fund fee.

Purchasing:

Message me to receive details for your ssh login to make your first investment.

Thank you for reading Smiley

Bitcoin Decentralized Fund - BDF welcomes your interest.

The Nitty Gritty:

You may message me via private message on this forum to receive details of how to log in to a terminal on a remote box using an ssh key (We do not care if you think ssh is good or bad, it works sufficiently) (you will need putty or kitty in windows, linux users will probably already know how to do this, if not, will you kindly refer to your manuals/google). You will log into a dummy drop user. On this drop user you will find instructions to fund a bitcoin address with your selected investment. You may then upload your preferred public key for the wallet that your funds will be returned to, N.B. DO NOT UPLOAD, TRANSMIT OR OTHERWISE EXPOSE YOUR PRIVATE WITHDRAWAL KEY, IF YOU UPLOAD OR OTHERWISE COMPROMISE YOUR PRIVATE KEY ON THIS SYSTEM YOU WILL HAVE YOUR FUNDS RETURNED AND YOU WILL BE PERM BANNED, NO QUESTIONS. All users account submissions are then processed and the login deleted, the instructions to action your withdrawal, when you inevitably make this choice, will be included in your starter pack. This procedure is partially a competency test and partially a commitment test, any attempts to hack or otherwise compromise the cold wallet stored in these drop users will fail due to basic security measures that we have already taken. Also, be clear, once you deposit these funds to us, they are at risk.

We will then take security measures with your funds and allow the trading engine to use the money to generate profit.

You may then request withdrawal of these funds automatically (no human interaction) with a simple 48 hour cooling off period, this allows the funds to be returned, closing relevant positions, by the engine to your selected wallet. Instructions to send this withdrawal signal will be given to you on arrival in your secure ssh login.

If you have a problem with any of these rules and payment terms you need not apply.

Reporting:

Accounts will be published monthly to a pastebin in an unlabeled array. Your method of dispute is simple, you can always withdraw your funds automatically.

Your investment can go up as well as down in the short term, it is our long term goal to earn our fee and make you very wealthy intrepid entrepreneurs.

And for the lonely hearts, the scammed, the lost and the disbelievers:

The Objections:

1) Yes, the distributed nature of BDF's trading engine is expensive to run, it is also considerably safer for you to invest in BDF because of our additional multi layer redundancy and decentralization.

2) This is not a scam:

Our motivation for allowing you, the public, access to our trading engine is two fold, we would like to recoup our investment as quickly as possible and we would like to earn some money. If you fail to understand that we perceive that growing BDF to your benefit is our chief priority and think that we could be scammers, then please keep your opinion to yourself and let the accounts and the withdrawal system provide the impartial proof of our seriousness in protecting your investment and our trading reputation.

3) This is not a pyramid scheme, we will have a load/maximum number of customers that we will be able to serve and referrals are not rewarded. Some prospective users will be refused access and some will never receive the message with instructions back.

Addendum:
I am toying with release of our small benchmark BDF alpha, if you express interest in this, you may message me, the rules/systems are are the same but the limits are 1 BTC to 10 BTC, this test alpha carries a cost with a full 50-50 profit-fee split.

14  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Trading Bot]... iTrader ... Cryptsy, Mt.Gox, BTC-e, Vircurex & More supported! on: July 02, 2013, 09:36:25 PM
not inspiring a lot of confidence here, 1 dude has written a review, it was ok, features look reasonable if a bit non trading centred, i.e. buying on a time? ill play lotto/pin the tail on a donkey.

the key part is this, we have virtual machines in both directions windows/linux linux/windows for testing and production of various coded bots, cracking and long iteration algorithms as well as multi api programmable trading engines. these are all open source, have made money than you from me.

none of these guys are messing around asking about your product, they sound genuinely interested. As an aside and an easy carrot, in this day and age, I know some of the good github depositors make more money than a typical software house coder on donations and non-commecial licencing alone. you should join them and open your source under a non-commercial licence. believe me the code of your engine isnt that good or unique, what makes your product different is that it looks good. even the looks of a product isnt going to make us buy it if we have to fork the cash to sandbox test, packet snoop and packet parse on a virtual machine just to verify that you aren't being an idiot and trying to be dodgy.

let us source review, compile it, run it and then provide feedback to you and others before recommending others to pay.

and posting that you got a virus on your pc doesnt help at all.

inb4 scam plaster and locked thread.
15  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC/USD fx rate back onto 3-year trendline on: July 02, 2013, 08:15:52 PM
I appreciate the effort but without more information this chart is of dubious value. What is the trendline based on? Unless it's based on stats and/or financial indicators then there's just too much room for curve-fitting and, effectively, useless.

There is no magic. The chart is average daily mtgox values, presented on a log chart with a least squares straight line (exponential, of course). Obviously the future is hypothetical, but this is the best fit projection using known data.

That's exactly the case: it is a regression line, using known data. The current value vs. regression line simply means, the price is sitting at the line. No more, no less. It could mean the price might turn up again.

HOWEVER, it does not mean in ANY way:
* that prices can't fall any further (after which they might start rising again)
* nor that prices might also have already topped at their all-time-high.

There is just no way of telling, not even with your regression line.
Implicating anything else would be an insult to the science of Statistics.

Bottom line: a regression line is of no practical prospective use, it is for historical (ex post) analysis.

Understanding what you have said here is worth noting, and I do not disagree, and to explain the clarity of this:

The regression line shows the perspective on the known data, and the conclusion that can be made is phrased like this:

Given that the current data is showing a logarithmic progression and that we lay the regression line to it, the price currently is above or below the regression line at this moment and is subjectively under or over priced relative to the historical data.

Speaking of the prospects of the system, the price is without a known probability to follow this historical perspective.

TLDR: History gives insight future but does not predict it.

17  Economy / Exchanges / Bitfinex on: June 26, 2013, 11:45:16 PM
Margin Trading and Lending on www.bitfinex.com

The standard rate lend return is 43% per year. I just lent 300 ltc for a 40% for a 30 day stint, seems good.

I joined up had a poke around, and the engine seems good so far, anyone else bitfinex, have buy/sell positions,

Funds transfer seems good and insured loans looks good, the control on the margin trading seem to work on the small bits of 10 btc trades i checked.

What do you guys think of the site?

How would you improve the margin trading and leveraged engine?

18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New D-Wave Quantum Computer - 51% attack? on: June 22, 2013, 08:11:18 PM
These quantum computers do not actually do what you think they do. they aren't conventional function computers but probability solvers for formations of solutions. they are very epotomy of asics but not for definitive maths.

they do not do standard mathematics and cannot be switched over. they short cut high difficulty pattern and lowest energy state problems in a noisy quantum way. they are not good at high grade parallel math. they effectively act like little distillery pots for patterns or lowest energy configurations of a problem, like folding or crystal lattice problems.

19  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC-E PHP Currency Arbitrage Bot Full Code on: June 21, 2013, 07:57:14 PM
That output is good but the arbitrage opportunities are too small now, it would take a revamp of the fee system to allow them to arb bots properly, i ran this bot on 2 Triples BTC/LTC/RUR and USD for a week for little value.

Im pretty sure that btc-e has its own feeless arb bots running.
