401  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: The 94% Con by Jon Montroll on: October 10, 2014, 02:05:11 PM
Serious question.... Did any one try any kind of legal avenue to recoup funds ?

The people that have, and successfully received their coins back, have no interest in posting about it.
402  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ask TF thread on: October 10, 2014, 02:03:47 PM
What exchange have you been using to pay signature payments? Do you think it is strange that they are taking such a large TX fee out even though the actual TX fee given to the miners is a standard size (.0006 taken from TX verses ~.0001 given to miners)
BTER. I have no doubt that they use this as a revenue raising method, although they may receive a large amount of dust deposited that results in some of their transactions requiring higher fees.

Do you wish your BCT member rank was Legendary right now?
I guess that'd be nice.
403  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Rent my (TF) signature for 1 month (experimental) on: October 10, 2014, 01:59:26 PM
Sorry, I haven't been online in the past few days, and did not process this auction. I'll be posting more in the upcoming days, however.

Blazedout419, I've sent you a message.
404  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Rent my (TF) signature for 1 month (experimental) on: September 25, 2014, 12:20:47 PM
well people do atleast know him even if it is for the wrong reason so your links or ads will get attention
Yep, the last link I had (for Crypto-Trade) received more than 2000 clicks in a few weeks.

405  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ask TF thread on: September 25, 2014, 12:17:50 PM
So, TradeFortress, I finally have the chance to talk to you!

First off, would you consider sending me the Bitcoins left in my wallet? It was about 0.1 BTC, and although it wasn't a lot I would still like it back because I generally used faucets and giveaways to obtain amounts of BTC as I have never been able to put money into it.

Also, how do you intend on repaying other users, if you do at all? And what happened to the people working at Inputs?
Send me an email from your Inputs email, along with an address.
406  Economy / Auctions / [Auction] Rent my (TF) signature for 1 month (experimental) on: September 23, 2014, 02:17:54 PM
Minimum bid: 0.05 BTC
Minimum bid increment: 0.01 BTC
Auction end time: 7 days from this post

More than 7000+ posts, so 7000 dofollow backlinks (although admittedly, low SEO juice individually).
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=67058

Full signature styling available, however the bottom line will reserved for my email address. I reserve the right to reject certain content.
407  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] CoinLenders source code on: September 23, 2014, 02:12:39 PM
If you're interested in running a site similar to what CoinLenders was, contact me!
408  Economy / Services / Re: dice.ninja - Signature Campaign! on: September 23, 2014, 02:09:47 PM
T04D, you should expand the signature ad campaign Tongue
409  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Statistical analysis of Bitcoin public key distribution on: September 23, 2014, 02:07:10 PM
Has anyone performed statistical analysis of the Bitcoin public keys on the blockchain? It might be useful for identifying if there may be a client with flawed key generation out in the wild.
410  Other / Meta / Re: There should be a public list of sold/bought accounts on: September 23, 2014, 02:00:08 PM
As we all know, buying/selling forum accounts is allowed. But it becomes hard for other community members to figure out the authenticity of the opinions expressed from such accounts. A Legendary/Hero/Senior account may flood the forum with strong opinions and junior members would more inclined to believe them, not knowing the fact that the account might be bought with pure intention of publishing FUD or to make desirable impact on opinion of others.

What would help is a public list of all sold/bought accounts for everyone to see. This way at least other users can use caution before relying on opinions expressed from such accounts.

I don't know if there is any known way to ensure this, because most deals take place via PMs. But I strongly feel the need for this and would like to know what everyone else thinks.

hah, no. it's pointless having this as no account sales used for scamming purposes will be on the list.
411  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW ZenCloud ZenPool Hashlet - does it really exist? ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :-) on: September 23, 2014, 01:59:18 PM
I went from shadow banned without notice or any info to full banned with the same treatment. Remember that thread where Josh said he would remember who stood by him and who didn't? He wasn't kidding. The thing that is annoying is that now I can't use that as an avenue for help which is kind of important because it can be hard to get their attention. Right now I'm waiting on my missing $600+ gawminers.com credit that was used to partially pay for my VB Mini batch 2 that I cancelled.

Mhm.

There's no need to argue if ZenCloud is a scam or not, because you will not make your investment back if you purchase now. You won't even make a profit if you buy Scrypt hashpower at $5.25 a MH/s. The difficulty increase is going to be in double digits for the coming months.
412  Economy / Gambling / Re: dice.ninja - Now with Plinko! on: September 23, 2014, 01:47:47 PM
is ninja down? i gotta play plinko NOW!

Anyone else having a problem? It's up as far as I can tell.
Ugh, really? Get some uptime monitoring.
413  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Blocked Chinese IP? on: September 23, 2014, 01:44:58 PM
p.s. I checked blokchcain.info is working fine inside China => http://www.greatfirewallofchina.org/index.php?siteurl=blockchain.info

I just checked almost all bitcoin sites I know (news sites, exchanges, gambling sites, cloudmining sites, mining pools, block explorers) and none of them is blocked except for bitcointalk.

So I guess bitcointalk is blocked not because it is bitcoin-related, but rather some posts here get on the officials' nerves.

That's my guess as well. Possibly these posts:

What language was inputs.io written in? Did it use Bitcoind?
PHP. It used a modified bitcoind with patches that improved scalability.

I think I joined your campaign haha, made a few posts then it closed before month's end Sad. I shall find a reference post!

AHA! EDIT: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=198934.msg3376985#msg3376985 (the thread was locked 2 days after I was supposed to get a payout Sad) I did wear the signature until everything fell apart..

Still waiting. I will accept the fiat equivalent of the btc price back then.

Sorry, the current signature payouts are for people who held the signature for the full duration.
415  Other / Off-topic / Re: Ask TF thread on: September 23, 2014, 01:34:51 PM
Are you serious?

1. it was obviously a con, so obviously I can't see how it could be more clear

2. even if it wasn't, you don't keep 4000 BTC in a hot wallet, it's not an hot wallet anymore

What is obvious is that you have a strong preconceived opinion, and have no interest of changing your views irrespective to what I say. Your postings revolve around demonstrating that you consider yourself wiser than other people because you stopped using CoinLenders earlier. I think you should find more interesting and less boastful uses of your time.

I won't be responding to you in the future because of your firm opinions and attitude, not because I have no arguments against your views.

Hey thanks and received Smiley

For the record you send me 0.0994 though Wink

Sorry about that, I didn't realize that the exchange I was sending from deducted 0.0006 BTC from the transfer amount.

You have shamed dicebitco.in, but now they apparently have made good on their "misdeeds" (see this thread)

Not entirely. DiceBitco.in disabled bet lookups for other users, coinciding with 'mateo''s bets. I believe a user has also analyzed and found the chance of 'mateo' winning that much with their bet pattern and volume to be below minus 5 sigma.

Quote
1 - are you willing to reverse your stance on dicebitco.in now that they have refunded all users' "losses" as a result of the skipped nonce issue? You previously said you consider them to be a scam because they have not repaid all of their users' money that should have been owed to them.

DiceBitco.in still hasn't fully compensated all users. They only refunded deposits, not what the player would have won without the rigging. Users who would have won double their deposit would only get their original deposit back.

2 - Can you please describe your relationship between both yourself and dicebitco.in and between yourself and dice.ninja? Have you played at either site (if so how much did you win/lose)? Have you invested in either site (and if so how much do you have invested, what is the most you have had in either site, and what is your gain/loss on your investment)?

I have never invested in DiceBitco.in or dice.ninja.
416  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] Graet.Loan - Paying 0.05% interest daily on: September 20, 2014, 03:02:56 PM

417  Economy / Services / Re: dice.ninja - Signature Campaign! on: September 20, 2014, 02:22:47 PM
really hope I get in next round Tongue
418  Other / Off-topic / Speculation over main account of Tomatocage on: September 20, 2014, 02:20:59 PM
Tomatocage is an alt account of another member. The question is, which member?

I'm going to throw a wild guess and say.. blazr?
419  Economy / Lending / Re: Requesting a medium loan for 30 days, 10-20% - using escrow and collateral on: September 20, 2014, 02:19:12 PM
I'm happy to fill this loan. I'm OK with Tomatocage, DannyHamilton, and other reputable escrow providers.

My condition: collateral will be liquidated the moment they are unable to cover 100% of the loan.

Giving this a chance (with some conditions of my own).

Given your trust rating, I was fully prepared to reject it.

However, I hope to give it a shot. If we can agree that collateral will be worth 100% of the loan you are giving, and that interest rate will be at 10% after 60 day period, then we have a deal.

I agree to your condition that collateral will be liquidated if coinmarketcap price falls below 100% of loan value.

I ask that escrow.ms be used as an escrow to hold the collateral.

Let me know what you think.

10% after 60 days is fine. These two statements are contradictory - it's pretty likely the value of the coin basket would fall below 100% due to market jitter.

Escrow.ms is fine, although I prefer DannyHamilton / Tomatocage.
420  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Good bye and thanks for all the fish... on: September 20, 2014, 02:10:27 PM
It was fun while it lasted.

I was able to rent hash rate (sha256) at competitive prices for a while and even turn a small profit but these days seem to be gone. There is a "whale" in the order book who sucks up all hash rate at ridiculously high prices and totally ruins it for the rest of the buyers. I have waited 4 weeks now, hoping this problem would solve itself when this one guy runs out of money but he seems to be pumping ever increasing amounts of BTC into it and just won't stop.

Today I am withdrawing my remaining 3 BTC, I'm not going to continue trying to compete against such insanity, I'm forced to leave this market, there is nothing to buy here for me anymore :-(

Good bye
Bye! I'm so sorry that someone is willing to pay more than what you're willing the pay..
