Okay, can you give me the BIN (first six digits) from the card? I want to confirm that it is from a bank known to issue gift cards, and these aren't just random stolen cards.

If the cards will work internationally, I may be interested.
Since you are new here, I will warn you that I have been scammed on this type of trade before, so I'm going to be asking some questions about where these cards came from.

Well, since you have zero positive feedback, no one is going to go first with you.
I doubt you can find an escrow who will handle $1000 in cash, but feel free to propose something.

Western Union and Moneygram are usually not cost-effective, especially not internationally.
I just did a trade with someone and mailed cash. It cost $9.20 with signature and tracking. That's less than what WU costs.
If WU is your only option then we can discuss it, but in most cases you're better off with an alternative.
I still have cash to trade.

Americans love to buy anime, manga, games, and car parts from Japan.
Just offer to sell some Japanese things for bitcoins.

can you send money gram cash?
Maybe... I'm not sure what the fees would be, and there aren't a lot of moneygram locations near here. Many of the WU agents are gone now too. Honestly though, if you want moneygram, you can probably find a better deal by posting an ad on localbitcoins, and getting the buyer to pay the moneygram fees.

Do you have a minimum on cash in mail? What will you do if the package is lost or stolen?
It's pretty rare for mail to get stolen, but it does happen. I can split up the cash and send it in several envelopes to limit the loss if one goes missing, or can send it all together with tracking/signature. It depends on how you want to do it.

Not charging a markup on this, I just want to buy some btc at bitstamp rate. If you want a straightforward no-hassle trade, make me an offer.
Rules:
You go first, unless you're trusted. You pay any postage or fees (if applicable). I'm not always online, but I will usually reply within 24 hours.
Payment methods offered:
Cash in mail (USD) Money order Gift cards I buy something for you I reload your prepaid card
If none of the above work for you, we could discuss something else. For example, I could make a deposit into your bank account, but it would depend on which bank and whether there is a branch nearby.
[EDIT] Current cash available: $0 (closed for now)

Who will they pass it onto if I make a false account with no links to any of my real world details?
EG: I pay someone 20$ BTC for 20$ on Paypal. I buy a steam wallet card of 20$. The person who sold me the Paypal balance for 20$ charges back. What happens to the gift card I bought? Will Paypal try to follow it?
No bank account, credit card or debit card connected.
For a small amount like 20 dollars, you might get away with it. If you try to send a larger amount on a new account, it will be put on hold and the seller will be notified of a possible dispute. You won't get your gift card, and the seller will be very unhappy.
|
|
|
It's not that simple.
If you make a payment for a nontrivial amount on a new credit card or new account, it will likely get flagged as a 'suspicious payment'. This is a sort of automatic dispute, where as soon as the payment is made, it goes into disputed status. You can't close this dispute by yourself and generally paypal will reverse it after 14 days, unless you can somehow convince them otherwise. I've gotten hit with this even on legitimate payments that I did not intend to dispute.

Today I sent some money using Western Union. The WU guy told me that they are now required to check IDs on anyone who sends money to Arizona. WTF? Fortunately I wasn't sending to AZ, so they didn't bother.
I dunno what they're doing with this info, but just a heads up to anyone trading to/from Arizona...

Any BTC Seller here??? Im willing to buy $50 worth of Bitcoins with Paypal funds
Needed urgently!

Just to clarify...
Preev rate is currently $225. Preev rate +10% is $247.50
So... If I give you 1 BTC, you will give me 247.50 USD in PayPal?
Will you send the Paypal as gift so I don't have to pay any fees or wait 3 weeks?
|
|
|
Of course what almost always happens is that once you send the funds, they'll start delaying and stalling for as long as possible to offload those PayPal funds into cold hard cash. Once you do get around to disputing the charge, they've long since abandoned the stolen PayPal account you sent to. Of course if you bring up the word "escrow" they'll cease communicating with you all together ("I've already found another buyer, sorry!").
What ends up happening in this situation? Does paypal deny the dispute? Or do they lock your account for suspicious activity?

If you need BTC so badly, why don't you consider another payment method?

If you're talking about vanillavisa.com, it's US only.

I wish you luck with this, but there is no way you're getting anywhere close to $200K without getting shut down by paypal.
Anyone want to place bets on how long that paypal account survives?
This might make for an interesting Sixth Amendment case.
