421  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government regulation of bitcoin on: October 31, 2017, 10:36:38 AM
whether government regulation is crucial to bitcoin survival, will it have a positive or even negative impact. What do you think ?

I believe that it will have a positive impact because if bitcoin is going to be banned by the government, it will be all over the news and people are going to talk about it. In the attempt of taking down bitcoins, they instead would end up making it more popular and popularity/hype is what we need to make bitcoin go mainstream.

Bitcoin was made so people wouldn't have to be so controlled by the government. Even with the regulation, bitcoin will be still usable by the people because there is no way that the government can sensor everything about bitcoin. Even if they do, there will be ways to bypass ISP censorship through a VPN. This might be reason why other governments haven't banned bitcoin yet. It's pointless.
422  Economy / Services / Re: VID-STREAM SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: October 31, 2017, 10:16:56 AM
Has anyone got paid from this campaign?

I'm assuming this campaign is dead/inactive since the manager hasn't went back online since last week.
423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some people prefer Bitcoin over fiat ? on: October 29, 2017, 01:37:00 PM
Bitcoin being used in drugs and illegal matters is a sad and hurting things, I felt you in that matter.I just hope there's a proper regulation in using bitcoin so that this illegal, immoral and unhealthy used of bitcoin will be depleted. Then people will prefer to use it for good,to improve their living, for easy transactions, to earn a profit. Holding it could give us a chance to gain more, than holding a fiat or putting a fiat in a bank with just a little interest.Holding a bitcoin for me is challenging because of its volatility especially when the value increases. Everyday you can observe its change so it's your prerogative if you like to trade it or not.

There's literally no way for us to filter out the transactions going on in bitcoins. People can send to whatever address they want, whenever they want, and no matter how much they want without having someone ask them what it's for. It's not going to deplete at all. Any currency will always be used for illegal transactions. In our case, though, people of the Internet are hyping the idea of bitcoin being used for illegal transaction for niche purposes. It will be so boring if the writer of the article plainly said the truth that bitcoin is not as associated with illegal transactions as much as fiat money is.

Truly, I don't know how you got sad and hurt by the fact that bitcoin is used for drugs and illegal things. You should be really depressed right now if you are so concerned about that because a lot of people are doing drugs right now, a lot of people are hiring a hit man to kill another person, etc. All these things are happening while you are perfectly safe with your life and you can never do anything to change that.
424  Economy / Economics / Re: How to teach kids about Bitcoin? on: October 29, 2017, 12:56:13 PM
The best way to teach kids about bitcoin is by saying that they can earn their own pocket money on their own by investing something which they have ,say it like a 100$ and they can get profit out of their investment by earning more from what they have invested and just tell them that they will no longer have to depend on parents or anyone from the family for pocket money if they are ready to save their pocket money atleast once and start working with btc .Now a days it not necessary for the adults to teach the kids about the tech world as kids these days are so advanced they even do software coding on their own with the help of Internet. So just need to give a rough idea about btc to kids rest they will learn on their own.

But without the necessary things (i.e. Internet, smartphone) these kids will not learn how to use it so.. Some things are still needed to be provided by the parents for them to learn techy stuffs.

It got me wondering, how did your kid even get $100. Like, I didn't even get that amount of money until I got into teenage stage. Kids are sooo impatient and I don't think that exchanging their money into bitcoins is a good idea. They might end up panic selling or plainly get bored and choose to sell for a lower amount. Kids want to buy all sorts of things and they want it right away. If you give them $100 today, probably it's already spent tomorrow.

Nowadays it's truly not necessary for adults to teach kids how to use the computer or the smartphone. On the other hand, they should be guided on the type of things that they should be browsing. You don't want your kid to become a porn addict or something just because he stumbled upon some advertisement about it. While I do agree that kids knows how to do this and that, I don't think kids know how to code their own program.
425  Economy / Economics / Re: The future of the paper money on: October 29, 2017, 12:43:19 PM
Andrew Haldane said one solution would be for the Bank of England to issue a state-backed digital currency based on bitcoin. Supporting this initiative would be a negative interest rate levied on paper currency relative to the digital currency, with these measures do you think there is more possibilities that sometime:

Paper money will be banned entirely?
How long do you think that happens?
would it work?
What security and privacy risks would it raise?
And how would public and privately issued monies interact?

I think it could happen in the near future, a world without a paper money, once our world decided to make paper money because its just to much to be paying with goods and live stocks, now its getting a bit of a hassle to bring large amount of money, so I think the next step is cryptocurrencies, for a much easier and better way of payment and transactions.

Who carries a million dollar in the streets anyway? It's one of the reasons why people have created a bank account and have that bank account connected to a database so people can just pay with the card alone. People only carry a couple of dollars with them just so they can pay for basic things like food, and coffee. I think that cards are a lot better way of payment and way of transacting as well. First, cryptocurrencies, regardless of which coin, still takes some time to send and receive the money. On the other hand, bank transactions take zero amount of time to get confirmed. Just swipe your card, enter the PIN, and then that's it. There's no need for the cashier to wait for the transaction to get confirmed at all.

Sending money through bitcoins can be fun because you only have to scan the QR code and then enter the amount of money you're sending. But, it might be quite hard if you don't live in a place where there's a signal reception everywhere. It's quite hard to get some reception when you're in the mall because it's an enclosed building.
426  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: October 29, 2017, 12:33:04 PM
Because of crime, until now some people have a negative attitude towards bitcoin. I do not quite understand why this is connected, since with the same success a crime can be committed with ordinary money.
Bitcoins and crime is connected because of the use of bitcoins as a currency in each illegal way like buying or selling drugs/Hitman service/etc. Such harmfull uses of bitcoins should be stopped as soon as poasible because truly it is affecting the peoples involved in bitvoins a lotm Bitcoina are not yet declared legal perhaps due to the same reason.

A lot of things in this world has to be stopped because it is negatively affecting a lot of people but do they stop just because we said it should be stopped? Not at all. First, the pollution from the large factories in China. Look up how polluted China is right now and you'd say "This should be stopped." once more but once again it will not stop just because you said so. Even with some actions it will not going to stop because it's a lot bigger than you are. There is no possible way for this type of transactions to be stopped because some of the mafias have a connection in the government. Some would say that they are above the law and I do agree with that. Money is everything to people and the government can simply be bribed by these rich mafias, I see no reason why would they reject that offer specially when no one would ever know.

Do you realize the fact that there's not much syndicates that gets busted? I guess it's because they are the government themselves.
427  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin reduces unemployment on: October 29, 2017, 12:24:32 PM
I agree with you at some level Bitcoins are reducing unemployment and are acting as a extra income for those who are already working but it is a temporary solution and the person shouldn't totally rely only on it, one should always try to build a little business that they could rely on in case something bad happens to Bitcoins.

That is called diversification and I totally recommend doing it. Right now I'm going all in with bitcoin just because the price seems to go higher in the foreseeable future. It's a bold and risky move but I'm just going to do it. Anyway, diversifying your money will be a lot better than just going all in on something or just plainly saving your money. Invest in things like land property, livestock, etc. depending on what are the available stuffs in your country. Computer rental is really a thing in my country so I can do that but in my area it's not really that much of a thing because most people are too broke to rent a computer and probably don't know how to use one. I can't go out and teach them one by one just so they can rent my computers, that's too much investment in terms of effort.

You should establish a business that will be able to support the daily needs of your family so even when you can't cash out bitcoins, you know your family will not starve.
428  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: October 29, 2017, 12:11:09 PM
We can make more money if you are a professional or a degree holder person..you can find a good job easily and you can earn big money or salary..have your own business and manage it on your own..in that way out of your labor you can earn and make more money Kiss Smiley

I think that's the old way of making money. Today, even with a good degree you are not going to have a well paying job. The only way for you to have a huge salary is to be a pioneer at a blooming company, but if you're just starting out, you are going to actually lose money from working. The reason for this is that there will be a lot of expenses for you that includes food, transportation, etc. and all that unnecessary things like buying StarBucks coffee, a new phone, getting a car loan, getting a loan for a house, etc. You might think that ones you have graduated college, there are lots of door of opportunities waiting for you but guess what, there is none. Go and read articles on the Internet about how much the Millennials are having a hard time with their lives right now even doing their best to earn money.

Our fiat money has a really really low purchasing power and it has no chance of increasing. Inflation is going on ever since and it's time to switch for something that is subject to deflation instead and that's bitcoin.
429  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin improve the economy of a country? on: October 29, 2017, 12:00:00 PM
Today there are many people in different countries who use bitcoin. Probably because, the price is high above local price. But, there are still many countries that have not allowed sale and purchase using bitcoin. Probably because, the factor laws of state regulations prohibit it. But I'm sure, bitcoin can improve a country for the future. Because, already proven by many people who use bitcoin, the results can change their lives for the better than ever.

If people really are using bitcoin because it has a higher price than their local currency, then the major part of the whole world should be using USD or Dinar right now since the two have the most value. I don't see our country changing our currency because dollars have a lot more value than our money. I also don't see stores accepting foreign currencies.

People as an individual are going to grow financially with bitcoins. But does that improve the economy of the country at all? I think that a country's economy are improving by having more products exported to countries or having to collect more taxes from people. With bitcoin, we are not paying taxes at all. Maybe if you're feeling a little generous you are going to pay for the tax even though you don't really have to. On the other hand, if people are going to be rich as an individual, they might still be able to help improve the economy by consuming something because when you buy something, you are actually paying the tax. So once you're rich and you're going to build a house, all of the things you just purchased have their 12% price go to the country's money.
430  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin End World Poverty? on: October 29, 2017, 11:50:27 AM
For some people signatures and even faucet of bitcoin had becamed their job, since they can earn more or less their old salarie doing those, as they have acess to interner for a low price they are able to survice with those earnings. Even not being the role of bitcoin it is helping a lot people to get their first kind of salarie with bitcoin, it cant end as there is several places withot internet, and well all project has limitations wich wont allow to help all people facing those situation.

I'm sure that there are some that made signature campaign as their part time job but I'm quite sure that faucets aren't in the scene. The reason for this is because faucets barely give out money and seriously just one post for a signature campaign has an equivalent of claiming from faucets thousands of times. Bitcoin is helping mainly the people in third world country because the payrate is a lot better than the regular salary of a person who has a degree or even a masteral.

Let's say that we distribute $10,000 equivalent of bitcoin to each and every 7 billion people of Earth, money will devaluate since everyone has that base amount. Those that have nothing but the base amount will be considered as poor and probably still not be able to buy that much. In just a couple of weeks, all these people that are not educated in saving money (because it's their first time to have money or for whatever reason) will end up being broke once again. World poverty is just never going to end at all. Some people are broke not because things are hard for them. Some people are broke because they do not have the discipline to not spend money on things that they don't need or not an investment.
431  Economy / Economics / Re: Would bitcoin help teach kids about saving? on: October 29, 2017, 11:36:09 AM
Bitcoin acts a lot like money and just like money, bitcoin can teach kids how to save but it can also teach kids how to recklessly spend their money. There are different ways in earning bitcoins. Of course there will be kids in the future that have parents invested in bitcoin long ago and just give them bitcoins. It will be the new world's silver spoon. If they have made the bitcoin like that, by just having it given to them without really earning the coins, then they are just going to spend it recklessly. The only chance for them to save money is if it's naturally in their genes but more often than not, they are going to just spend it since they didn't do anything to have it. Another thing, if they have the assurance that there will be some bitcoins sent to them again in the future, then surely they are not going to save it.

I do believe that it's scarcity of resource (in this case, money) that leads a kid to learning how to save. I lived a childhood without any money at all and now that I'm making some money, then I guess that's what made me save up all these money for future purposes and investments.
432  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we make more money? on: October 28, 2017, 05:21:12 PM
For me getting more money and having a degree while being happy and contented in life is a successful life. I think you should first get a degree. Finish college first. It is a one step closer to your dream on how to get money. Next is getting a job. Then try ro learn more about investing and trading. It would be possible to join bitcoin and invest here.

Obviously you assumed that every person is uneducated and have finished high school. What if the person asking this question has already finished college and already have a job? We all know that regular day jobs don't pay enough so even after working for 8 hours in one job, most people still look for other ways to earn money such as having a side job, or buying and selling things. Some offer services to other people, some look at the Internet for clients, etc. The day doesn't end at going home from work. Once you have a family, you have more mouth to feed and then eventually the kids would go to school. There will be urgent expenses. The kids would want things. A lot of things are going to happen in your life. If you live alone and you don't support anyone, then 9-5 job is alright but you are not going to stay like that forever.

Honestly, I don't even trust diplomas anymore. There are people that have better paying jobs than those that have diplomas. Nowadays it's a matter of competition on how skilled you are rather than relying on a piece of paper called "diploma".
433  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: October 28, 2017, 05:10:02 PM
Risky stuff, Satoshi Nakamato has a big part of all the bitcoins. He can dump it any time.
I thought about it, too. We do not know the main owners. What can happen.
Only good things will happen mate. Do you know or remember the reason why Satoshi created bitcoin in the first? He created it to be decentralized, to save people from the inflation and to gave financial freedom. So why would he destroy what he has done? It make no sense.

I advice to hold many bitcoin as possible and be gald in more years to come.
Smiley

I don't think Satoshi will dump all of the one million coins at once. If he did, people will be rejoicing since it will pump bitcoin down so hard that late comers will be able to buy at a really low price. I see no reason as to why would he do that though. His mission was to create financial freedom for the masses and he did great with that. I do think that Satoshi will instead dump his bitcoins little by little (e.g. 1BTC a day sell) and then just carry on with his life living as a bitcoin millionaire. Satoshi probably have more than 1 million bitcoins since he is one of the first ones to be here, might as well be the first one to mine bitcoin and there was no bitcoin halving yet at that point so the mining rewards are a lot more than as of today.

In my opinion yes, because by holding Bitcoin can be more profitable than day trading and the risk also lower than day trading. If you dont have time to trade and dont have knowledge about day trading for the better just holding Bitcoin. More profitable and less risk.

So basically it's a case to case basis. If you have no idea about day trading, you'd be better off without it since doing it will just open a huge chance of you losing your bitcoin. It will be a lot better if you just hold your bitcoins instead.
434  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: October 28, 2017, 04:54:54 PM
For the underworld, BTC is a very good currency. On the black market, it's already been for several years that illegal transactions with payment of BitCoin have been committed. Of course, petty criminals like quick profits, but for some, the anonymity of the transaction is very important. Now, in connection with the growth of currency criminals also want to get it. They generally do not care, the main thing is that anonymously and without intermediaries. If among those present there are such crimes, maybe they will open a small curtain and tell something)

Bitcoin leaves a digital trail. If you want to be truly anonymous, use black bytes by byteball. I do believe that if criminals are actually using bitcoin, the price will be wayyyy higher. This price is nothing compared to how much money is being transacted by mafias everyday. Sometimes real life is even more anonymous because you can meetup somewhere off the grid and you will not be traced by any CCTV. In movies, in order for them to have zero trail at all, they kill the people that knows about them or have a slight idea on what they are doing. In bitcoin, once you have sent money to an address, it will forever be in the public ledger. Anonymous or not?

I can't stress this enough but I do think that there's only a really small amount of criminals that are using bitcoin for their shady activities. First, if you have millions of dollars, are you going to put it in something that you are not really sure of the price? Are you going to put it to something which price goes up and down every single day. I think that people are exaggerated by the idea of deep web but that's just my opinion. I'm no deep web or bitcoin expert.
435  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why bitcoin is not supported in some countries? on: October 28, 2017, 04:40:32 PM
The government is worried about using bitcoin to beat the legal currency. they think their security issue. it'a money laundering.
Actually they can not handle it properly.
But i think next few month or year latter bitcoin will explosion as world.
You maybe have a point on this thing mate, of course most of the government in each country they want to get a benefit first before approving something to their territory places. Since bitcoin was decentralized this maybe the reason why bitcoin is not welcome to their country.
Sometimes, if the government accept something will affect their benefit, they also do not want to accept it. Example the government still can taxes the Bitcoin user are exchanger, miner ... but why do they not accept it soon? Because it can helps Bitcoin replaces FIAT in society.

I'm quite sure that the government can only put a tax on exchangers that are owned by them or those that have a partnership with them. Having exchangers forced to pay tax will cause the rise of another little era on the Internet where literally everything is totally anonymous. Like an anonymous exchange site where you can buy/sell without having to put account details (like etherdelta) and online wallets that just send out money to you anonymously. One of the huge reasons why we are here is because we don't want the government having all the power even including the ones that should belong to the community itself.

Bitcoin might replace fiat at some point but it will not be in our life time. There are videos in Youtube where they try to pay in stores using bitcoin and all they get is rejected. Funny because it's too early to do that and then some say that because the stores aren't accepting bitcoin, then it's not legit. It's not that people or countries don't support bitcoin. It's just we lack users and we haven't gone mainstream just yet.

Does newbie can be part of this?

Read the OP. They only accept members and up. I'm afraid but at the moment there is no campaign that is accepting Newbies. Check out the list of all signature campaigns here and see for yourself. You can join altcoin campaigns, though but the payrate wouldn't be that much. I suggest you wait up until Member rank and use your time in reading more about bitcoin instead.

439  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin better or paypal? on: October 25, 2017, 02:28:38 PM
Let’s see it from Finance point of view.

If you put 100$ in PayPal today, you will not have 100$ tomorrow due to inflation in the dollar price caused by the economic growth.
If you put 100$ in bitcoin today, you will most probably have more than 100$ tomorrow.

Here we are thinking very short term, but if you think for a year or so. It will make a considerable difference.

So if you are smart investor, you should save every penny you can. That’s the motto of Warren Buffet and that’s my motto.

I think the topic in here is not necessarily for investments but you are right. In Paypal, your money will always be the same just like in the banks. What you have deposited will always be the same amount of money that you can withdraw in the future but in the future it probably can buy lesser things because of the constant decrease in the purchasing power of fiat money. In bitcoin, there is a possibility that you are going to make some extra money in a couple of days but it's not going to be that much (in your example). In your example, that means that bitcoin has doubled its price and with the current rate, I don't think that it's going to happen in just one day. It takes a lot more money to increase this price.

Paypal and Bitcoin have their differences, advantages and disadvantages. You are still going to be the final judge of what you want to use because it all depends on your needs as a consumer.
440  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to explain bitcoin to teenagers or children on: October 25, 2017, 02:06:35 PM
children are in age where they should be away from earning process, teenagers on other hand should know about technology ,everyone nowadays is tech savy and will understand  basic technology nicely so they just need to get aware of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies and other basic stuff related to it for eg-wallets,their way of working, some basic idea about blockchain and rest leave to them ,there more they learn themselves better they will be at it.

Everyone might have a smartphone but that does not mean that they are going to understand bitcoin easily. Bitcoin is a combination of principles of economy and technology. Bitcoin is a little hard to understand at first but of course there are explanations of bitcoin in layman's terms. This way, you can understand bitcoin even without having prior knowledge to it. When I don't know something, I usually just search explanation of it in layman's terms. It makes you understand better because it's using examples and analogies instead of technical words that you are not able to understand.

In the future, bitcoin will become a mainstream thing and people will know about it even if you don't force them to. They are going to learn about it by the time they are ready. No need to separate the youth from the adults, both have brains enough to learn about bitcoin.

There is a perfect book for that: "Bitcoin for Dummies". Your kids will get the entire idea easily Smiley

Usually "for dummies" books are made my dummies themselves. Just my opinion, since I had a bad experience with these stuff.

Yeah, that's why I search "in layman's terms" instead but sometimes books for dummies are alright. Otherwise they are not going to be so rampant.
