21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are Alts About to Crash? on: June 02, 2018, 05:27:12 AM
To be honest, I think that the ALTs crashed in Jan 18 is because of the unwarranted exponential growth during the end of 17. ALTs are simply just undergoing a correction phase, and if you think of it, some of the ALTs don't even deserve their current valuation. I'm looking at you EOS (money grabbing vaporware).
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: June 01, 2018, 01:58:20 PM
hi, I need help. I sent bytes from one wallet to another and the bytes never arrived. what should I do?

Transaction should be instant in the GBYTE application. Did you send to the correct address?

I assume that you are using a mobile operating system, try to close the entire app, clear any background applications, and let your GBYTE application sync again!
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Did crypto become mainstream too early? on: June 01, 2018, 01:54:40 PM
I somewhat agree that we are growing too fast. A classic example is the Dec 17 period where there is a parabolic run-up in BTC price due to increased awareness and advertisements via traditional news channel, etc. However, the technology is not mature for it to be adopted in the real-world, where there are many issues such as scaling, transaction fees, etc. The community must unite and grow and mature the cryptocurrency scene, point out potential scams, and together, we will all benefit!
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][PRE-ICO]HoweyCoins: the only BitcoinTalk-endorsed ICO - GUARANTEED PROFIT on: June 01, 2018, 01:30:46 PM
This is a great way to warn new users and investors alike, the merits and pitfalls of ICOs. Most importantly, do your own research (DYOR) and due dilligence. Ask yourselves these questions:

1. What problems does the project aim to solve?
2. Who is in the team? Are they identifiable? Is it a real person?
3. Who is spearheading the development?
4. What is the hard cap and the amount they are trying to raise?
5. What are they going to do with the ICO funds?

I hope these questions will help newbies spot the real from the fakes. That being said, even if a project is legitimate, you can still lose your investment.
25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Would you recommend selling my Bitcoins now on: May 31, 2018, 04:20:36 PM
In my opinion, I wouldn't realize my losses. There's a reason why people say buy low sell high, not buy high sell low. If you require money urgently, you really shouldn't be dabbling your 'precious' money in investments and cryptocurrencies.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 31, 2018, 04:36:22 AM
It is so sad that nobody realizes the potential of Byteball, and most people go for the 'hyped' ICO coins which may or may not give out multiple folds of returns. Nobody realizes that Byteball had probably the fairest distribution in the history of the crypto world. I would very much like to see this succeed.
27  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC is bullshit on: May 30, 2018, 04:46:20 PM
If you have a clear conscience, why fear KYC? There is reason why ICOs do it, and it is because of the law and the rules in their jurisdiction. As cryptocurrency are getting readily adopted by the world, be ready for regulatory measures such as KYC / AML checks.
28  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: May 30, 2018, 04:43:05 PM
Yes, Bitcoin was originally envisioned by Satoshi as a peer to peer currency. Due to its recent scaling problems (block size, confirmation time), Bitcoin today, I would say its treated as a store to value as opposed to a currency. Currency or not, I guess time will truly tell the potential of Bitcoin. I am eagerly waiting for the lightning network to be implemented, which would resolve most of the scaling issues. Let's see where this would take us!
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest on low market cap coins on: May 30, 2018, 12:53:51 PM
Low Caps - High Risk High Reward (Some coins can go up to 100x)
Mid Caps - Medium Risk Medium Reward (5x - 10x)
High Caps - Low Risk Low Reward (1x - 4x)

In my opinion, your portfolio should have a mix of each of the corresponding categories depending on your risk appetite. This ensures diversification and protection of your capital should one of the categories fail to perform.
30  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Hero and Legendary Club waiting for your offers on: May 29, 2018, 08:46:06 AM
Every Hero and Legendary will read your offer in this forum.

There are 5700 Heroes and Legendary members in the database who are ready to help your project, take part in the Bounty, evaluate, answer questions, buy or invest in your project.

The price is $ 1 per 1 dialogue. The minimum order is 200 contacts. The price is 75 cents, per 1000 dialogs, the price is 40 cents for dialogue to communicate with the whole base.

You can write pm or email egorusx1989@mail.ru

This is very unethical. You are literally buying the mouth's of our hero and legendary members in this forum. There is NO WAY in hell any established member would take up this offer. Try again!
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Price Explosion on: May 29, 2018, 08:20:02 AM
Ethereum is set to be the next big thing. They are essential in funding ICOs and with their strong development team, they are set out for success. Just look out for their new PoS network launch (Casper), which will greatly improve their tps and solve the network bottleneck problem!

33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Currency has theability to remove poverty. on: May 29, 2018, 06:19:59 AM
I agree with the point that crypto has indeed the ability to remove poverty. How? If you ask me, look towards those who are living in poverty and developing countries, where they do not have access to financial institutions. This meant that they do not have an effective mean to move money around as they are completely out of the ecosystem. Crypto has the ability to capture these outliers, and thereby 'bank the unbanked'!
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] HoloToken (HOT): Holo The Distributed Hosting Platform on: May 28, 2018, 08:36:37 AM
I have a lot of hopes for this project. HoloChain may very well be the best competitor of Amazon AWS due to its agent-centric network and its efficiency. Cloud storage and hosting of DAPPS is certainly the future and forging ahead, I hope that the HoloChain project manages to prove everybody wrong that it is in fact better than blockchain, DAG, and hashgrash. Lets just see!
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin ever be 20k again? Why or why not? on: May 28, 2018, 08:23:40 AM
If you have been watching BTC for a long time, you would know that it is on a long-term bull trend. The 2017 was just an introduction of Bitcoin to the masses which resulted in its parabolic run-up. 2018 seems like a year of retracement, which means we may be in bearish market for some time. However, if your investment horizon is towards the long-term, there is no cause for panic. Remember, there are only 21 million bitcoins available! Just imagine its potential when everyone looks at it as a viable alternative to gold (which bitcoin is more superior in many ways - transfer ability, portability etc.).
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: May 28, 2018, 08:05:21 AM
This DAG project has always been promising...Great distribution method. Great Dev. Great everything...It has the disruptive potential in the crypto world. Looking forward to future developments!

38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PosW Speculation Thread - And Coin Details on: May 22, 2017, 11:23:24 AM
Im holding some of their coins too. I see potential in them, devs are quite active in slack too.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bancor | Protocol for Smart-tokens, solving the liquidity problem on: May 13, 2017, 08:55:52 AM
Are Jr Members allowed to participate in the Bitcointalk sig bounty?

What's the payout for Jr Members like? It wasn't mentioned in the bounty post.
