1  Economy / Speculation / Re: If someone buys Bitcoin today, they'll be lucky to see a 300%+ ROI. on: March 03, 2014, 01:23:08 PM
Aside from all the possible counter-arguments, there's an implication here that 300% is a poor rate of return. Tell that to the average stock investor.

About 10 BTC.

Can't confirm with any links. Got this information from an Xbox Live game channel, from Japanese Members.

This is ..... fantastic.

8  Bitcoin / Mining / Mining Consultant Desired on: August 20, 2013, 04:54:48 PM
I am looking for consulting support for Bitcoin/Litecoin mining on ATI video cards.  We have been successful with 7950s and 7970s, but we could use an expert to help us configure them better.  Our hash rates are not optimal, and I hope that you can help us reach potential.

It is expected that the work will be done remotely.  My preference would be to use a webcam and Skype, but we can work that out.  I'm willing to pay in BTC, LTC or as a % of mining.  Please contact me in this thread, as a PM, or at my GMail address at Lukas Bradley (no spaces or .).   Please send me your compensation preference (hourly, %, etc), as well as your experience working in this realm.

Many thanks.
9  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MtGox wires ARE delayed on: June 20, 2013, 06:51:22 PM
Mtux says Mizuho Bank's automated wire transfer API is broken right now.  Wires can only be sent out manually by Mizuho.  Gox is opening accounts at other banks, which should drastically improve USD withdrawal times and bypass the technical problems at Mizuho.  This process should take around 2 weeks.

LOL W(hy)TF didn't Mt. Gox just put THAT info in the press release?  They seem to love crafting press releases designed to maximize panic.

And why did I learn about all of this here, instead of receiving an email to my account?  Who handles customer service at Gox?  I would love to ask them directly, but their chat service on the site is also not working.
10  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Bitfury is looking for alpha-testers of first chips! FREE MONEY HERE! on: June 19, 2013, 04:43:37 AM
First I would like to say that chip is working. Complete confirmation using test-vectors.

Congratulations.  Great work.  I know how many hours you put into it.

12  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: PCIE expansion board on: May 16, 2013, 10:10:31 PM
I have found that over-the-counter consumer hardware is still cheaper.  I encourage you to contact them, however.
13  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [TENTATIVE] - Stumptown Miners - Avalon PCB Assembly - West Coast USA on: May 13, 2013, 03:56:58 PM
I travel back and forth to Portland a LOT.  Would love to meet you guys and discuss.

16  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 6 x Aluminum cases for you next mining rig! on: April 13, 2013, 04:47:09 PM
Cool looking, but price is way out of my range.

Agreed.  Fantastic work.  They are beautiful.

Bump.
17  Economy / Speculation / Re: To bulls and bears on: April 11, 2013, 08:58:06 PM
Fantastic.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LTC][Pool][PPLNS] - ltc.kattare.com - burnside's Litecoin Mining Pool on: April 03, 2013, 01:57:20 AM
Any plan to support stratum?  A competitor pool now does so, and my stales for my GPU dropped dramatically when I switched to it.  I prefer to stay with Burnside if possible though Smiley

+1 to this.  I'm just started, and I already love your interface much more than BTC mining.  Great work, but I'd love Stratum to cut through these stales.
19  Economy / Economics / Re: 'I went to sleep Friday as a rich man. I woke up a poor man' on: March 30, 2013, 08:44:22 PM
I really, REALLY want to believe these stories are simply not true... or they are being blown out of proportion.

I really, REALLY hope that is the case.
