I checked them out, don't really understand why they are so expensive though. I mean this is more than 10x the average price of seemingly similar hosting so what makes this so special?

I'm not advocating their "sites" option, I'm bringing up the cloud servers option.

You basically get root access to a 256MB RAM "shard" for about $15 per month.  If you're only hosting static web pages and maybe some PHP, this is the best price for the most control.

However, if you don't want to mess with setting up a node, and configuring it, I completely understand.  There are cheaper, turn key options.

EDIT: Looks like they upped it to 512MB RAM. http://www.rackspace.com/cloud/public/servers/pricing

If you ever plan on running multiple nodes for redundancy, this is one of the best cloud options.

I would like to grab more of them in a 4HE enclosure.

Do you have any Quads in a 4HE now?  I'd love to see pics.

Going to sit in the tml-support IRC for a bit.  Please join if anyone wants to troubleshoot.

Tricone Mining Logic, host software v1.11

IF YOU EXPERIENCE HIGH ERROR RATES: try running just one ring at a
time (e.g. use 'ztex:0:0.0' on command line instead of 'ztex:0').
If each ring works error free on its own, but you get errors when
running all three, it means your power supply is sagging.

Well... I've been unable to get any of the miners to get to the "programming" stage.  The long poll just sits there...

In the past, it programmed all four FPGAs on the quad, but I don't see any of those messages now.

As a newbie, I can't post anywhere but here.  Once I get access, I'll ask that this thread be moved.

I'm going to post thoughts and solutions for the ModMiner Quad firmware update, as well as TML support.

I've had trouble with stability and firmware updates, but I've finally gotten 4 to run overnight. However, this morning the power supply blew.

This is no joke.

Just wanted to get a starting point here so I can document as I can.

Would love a whitelist everywhere, but especially in the custom hardware space.

Please email or PM for confirmation of my identity, if needed.
