I'm wondering about 1 thing.

What is his excuse for not being able to sign any message with satoshi's private keys? I mean it would be so easy to prove ownership he must have given a reason for that. But I couldn't find anything valid...

Supposedly he destroyed all the keys to the publicly known coins, and had Dave split the rest with anonymous people and have them send the keys once the tulip trust expired or something like that.

Watching the tweet/forum coverage here I'm actually starting to think that CSW is a puppet on Jimmy/Calvin's strings at this point.

350Kh/s on 5850 and 10Kh/s on i5 Huh? modal (in macbook air mid-2011) and 40kh/s on 5450 all using cgminer except for mba - using scryptminer gui.
Not mining for profit, although I do have a pretty good turn over with the 5850 Tongue, the mba and 5450 are just for fun, I don't mine on them regularly.

10  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Record hashrate for a 5850? (me, showing off) on: January 27, 2013, 09:47:49 AM
My record is 450MH/s but the GPU is running at about 95C even with an after market cooler, and is extremely unstable, so is not actually usable for mining more than about 30 secs.
11  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BitMinter client (Win/Linux/Mac, NEW: BFL and Icarus FPGAs supported) on: January 27, 2013, 09:44:55 AM
CGminer runs at about 512MH/s on my 5850, the clocks are 925MHz and 500MHz, but the GPU stops responding after about 20mins and CGminer declares it sick, then dead. The cooling is handled by an aftermarket GPU cooler, not the stock XFX one.

Bitminter yields a more reliable hashrate staying consistently at 350MH/s at the exact same clocks going to about 400MH/s for about 10 seconds then comes back down to 350MH/s about every 5 minutes.

If you want to invest in mining, the best thing to do would be to pre-order and ASIC.
13  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CPU at 350Mh/s??? on: January 24, 2013, 01:21:08 AM
Sorry, but Nvidia cards just don't have the amount of stream processors necessary to mine at a decent rate. Go with AMD.
14  Economy / Economics / Re: What is bitcoin backed by? My favorite answers on: January 23, 2013, 01:20:34 PM
It is backed up by every merchant willing to accept it in exchange for services. Just as the merchant accepted USD with the assurance that the US government will accept it in exchange for gold, someone accepting BTC does so with the assurance that at least one of the merchants that he buys from will accept it from him, and each of these merchants in turn makes the same calculation.

Mined litecoins then sold them for bitcoins Tongue

1200 billion 32-bit operations per sec / 4300 operations = 280MH/s
18  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CPU at 350Mh/s??? on: January 23, 2013, 01:07:11 PM
Elsewhere on the forum seem to suggest something like 280MH/s.

Reckon it might be pretty good for sCrypt???

http://www.anandtech.com/show/6451/the-xeon-phi-at-work-at-tacc

62 Cores, each core is a simple in order x86 CPU (derived from the original Pentium) with a 512-bit SIMD unit, 4 threads per core, 2 threads execute in parallel. Each of these cores is a 64-bit x86 core.

Quote
while the Radeon HD 5850 has 1,440 usable stream cores
Each core on the 5850 handles one thread with (of course) one thread executing at one time.

One single thread Xeon core tends to put out 3-4MH/s so multiply that by 50 then by 2.......

About 400MH/s possibly more due to the fact that it's designed for "highly parallel tasks" and "extreme integer operations".

AND THIS IS INTELS MOST POWERFUL CHIP, IT'S 4x THE SIZE OF A CPU, ACTUALLY, IT'S A COPROCESSOR, SO IT'S A PCIe PRODUCT, WITH THE CPU PRACTICALLY BEING A GPU ON STEROIDS WITH LESS CORES. YOUR CPU IS DESKTOP THIS IS ENTERPRISE.

Sorry, but 350MH/s looks a bit optimistic on any i7.
20  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: CPU at 350Mh/s??? on: January 23, 2013, 12:43:03 PM
What about the Xeon Phi??? More Threads than my 5850.
Could get a decent hash rate off that?
