1  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: 10 BTC Bounty for the best redesign of the donation page on Antiwar.com on: December 05, 2012, 07:34:32 AM
Sweet. Thanks for posting it for me MemoryDealers. And thanks for white listing me, whoever does that.

If this design wins I can break it up into all the parts for their webmaster.

There's a contest running in this thread:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=129030.msg1376563#msg1376563

It asks for submissions to be posted in the thread, but I can't post as a newbie. The deadline is tomorrow.

I'm new to the forum but not new to Bitcoin. I'm a writer for DailyAnarchist.com and SilverUnderground.com which both cover Bitcoin related stuff, and I'm the graphic artist for DontTreadOnMeme.com where I designed, for example, their BitNotes.

I'm trying to submit a design for a BitCoin donation page for AntiWar.com

I'm not sure my time logged in is accounting right. I left it open all night an it logged 1 hour. Does it idle out?

My name is Davi Barker, know in many online circles as The Muslim Agorist. I'm an alternative currency enthusiast. I started with silver but was turned on to Bitcoin when I started writing for DailyAnarchist.com.

I recently got my first paper bitcoins. I'm not sure where to spend them exactly sure where to spend them, but they're pretty enough I think I'll just hide them away.
6  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: BitCoin-QT won't download passed block 199935. Little help? on: October 14, 2012, 08:46:45 AM
I tried updating the client to BitCoin-QT 7 but the problem persisted, but I was able to successfully transfer the coins to another client on another machine. So crisis averted. I'm chalking this one up to it being time to replace then netbook. The more technical solutions are a little over my head.

Thanks for both your help.
7  Other / Beginners & Help / BitCoin-QT won't download passed block 199935. Little help? on: October 14, 2012, 01:26:48 AM
Forgive my noobiness. I'm using Bitcoin-Qt on a netbook that is left off most of the time, so whenever I make a transaction I have to wait for the blockchain to catch up. Now it's no longer downloading new blocks. So, when I scroll over the spinning icon in the lower right it says, "Downloaded 199935 of X blocks of transaction history." X keeps going up, but 199935 hasn't moved in days.

I already downloading the latest version of the client. The update was successful but the problem persists. I tried transferring a small amount to a new wallet, but it doesn't appear that that the transaction is collecting confirmations.

I thought I better ask before I complicate the problem any more. I found some similar threads on the forum, but the solutions were too technical for me to understand. Is there anyone with the patience to deal with my ignorance who can help?
