Arsenal has not been a consistent team this seasion. Although the team's outstanding performance at the end of this season is very commendable, but I doubt their ability to to win this match against Newcastle United. We shouldn't forget that Newcastle United is a team that is going through a revolution. They have worked hard to move out of the relegation zone and they would be desperate to win this match in order to show thier fans that they are indeed a force to be reckoned with. Nevertheless, I suspect that the Arsenal team will put everything into the match to ensure they secure a place in the UEFA champions league but I still doubt thier ability. Why would something like that happen? Newcastle United have no claim. Whether they win or lose the match, nothing changes for them. But for Arsenal it is very important to win this game. Even a draw is not enough for Arsenal. Although Arsenal showed a fluctuating graphic during the season, these are now the last games of the season, they have to get 6 points. They are out of the Champions league race so there is no reason for City not to win the remaining 4 games to get the EPL trophy this season. Maybe Cristiano Ronaldo doesn't need any trophies in our opinions. But I don't think that he is sharing the same opinion now. Ronaldo is always a tenacious player and he would like to continue to play for a team that are competing in the Champions League. If Manchester United can't qualify for it, then he might be likely to leave in the summer for example. Unless he decides to chill at a completely different team, he would continue to play for that kind of teams.
Ronaldo has already said he will stay at United even if they fail to qualify for the Champions League. United is more than just another club for him, so I don't think he will change his mind. Given his age, there is a possibility that we will not see Ronaldo in the Champions League anymore, but I agree with his decision. Let him finish his "big" career at United, and in retirement it will be possible to play in America or somewhere else. It is great for Manchester United in that case. Because I'm pretty sure that they wouldn't like to see Ronaldo leaving already now. His contribution to the team during this season has been just incredible and he would still continue to do this next season also. The Marseille - Feyenoord match is still not much to experience, we haven't had any great chances and we see that reflected in the halftime score: 0-0. I read the news that Ronaldo could be in PSG. Real Madrid can't surprise me any less. First, they filled me with rage and then, they lightened my mood with a last minute performance that was flawless, a game!!! A mean, you play for over 89 minutes without a goal nor a single on target shot and with just a minute and a minute of added time, you score 2 goals to get right back into the game and in the extra time, you add another goal to qualify for the finals! This is fvcking epic and only Real Madrid could do this. To put there fans in so much tension and relieve them in the final seconds.
An interesting part is how cool, Carlo Ancelotti was through the whole game. He never gave in to despair and neither did his team. Nice one Rodrygo on giving Real Madrid the chance it did need. My conviction is that, the winner of today's game gets to win the UCL finals. I wasn't ready to see another Manchester City vs Liverpool and thanks to Rodrygo and Benzema for ensuring I don't get to see it.
It was really shocking to me, I never expected such a perfect display from real Madrid. Leipzig and Frankfurt seem to be the closest teams to final round for now. Leipzig are going to have a really tough rematch against Rangers for sure. I must admit the fact that Milan didn't have a comfortable game against Fiorentina. The statistics proves this clearly. But they still improved their effort more in the second half and got the win they wanted finally by 1-0.

I'm not so sure about Pep Guardiola to sign a new deal with Manchester City this summer. Because I remember that he said that he would be likely to leave the team in the near future. But maybe he has changed his mind and will decide to stay for a longer time. And his decision might depend on how successful they will be in the Champions League this season. If they manage to win the title, then he would achieve his biggest goal with this team and the probability of leaving the team would be bigger I think.
I don't understand why there would be a departure from Manchester City for Pep. If he has no other dreams, he is currently working in a team that is ahead in the championship race in the best league in the world, allocating the transfer budgets he wants to himself. Exactly what team would he want to coach if he left Manchester City? In Spain, Xavi would rally Barcelona very well. I don't think they want to change coaches. To me I don't think there is any need of him leaving the team, he is a good coach, and he is coaching one of the best team in Europe. A determine team like Manchester city gives you joy as a manager, and also his impact on the team is spectacular, since his arrival the team they have been performing greatly. Looking at their performance this season, there performance this season is really outstanding, they are a determined team, when it comes to game play, and also they are topping their league table, and also contesting for champions league. So I think pep Guadiola really needs to stay, Manchester city is one of the best club he has ever coach in his entire history, and with their level of consistency this season I think they might achieve their goal. |
