Interesting. Had not previously run across this Dr Roy Murphy. Is he pervasive? Is he truthful? I think his reputation has the previous blemish since he was promoting the bitconnect scam. Proceed with extre-e-eme caution on that one if at all IMO. I didn't follow the bitconnect scam, as it was clear from the outset that it was a scam. If Murphy's claim is to be believed, some 17 posts he made out of hundreds even mentioned bitconnect, and those were skeptical. IOW, that he did not promote it. Is he lying about this? The Bitcoin Cash's symbol was to be BCC, but the bitcoinconnet uses BCC, so it was changed to BCH.

Bitcoin Cash payments have just been rolled out to ALL BitPay merchants! what do you think about? Is this good information?
Yes. One more stone being laid in the foundation of Bitcoin Cash. Bullish. I heard bit coin cash was created and funded by the bankers as a way to take bitcoin off the throne, so they can manipulate the market more. they can only manipulate bitcoin oh so much compared to this bit coin cash, bit coin cash is the bankers bitcoin I think its true because coinbase is banker owned and they helped pump bitcoin cash they are now getting sued, and yes you do owe the pumped up bit coin cash price due to market manipluation at coinbase you know the same coinbase that locked the market when bitcoin crashed and the prevented people from buying in cheap or cut their loses.... how quickly we forget dont we? https://www.moneycontrol.com/news/business/cryptocurrency/lawsuit-filed-against-cryptocurrency-exchange-coinbase-over-bch-insider-trading-2522923.htmlThe largest cryptocurrency exchange in the US has been hit by a class action lawsuit over alleged insider trading during the launch of Bitcoin Cash(BCH) on its platforms. The lawsuit filed with the US district court for the northern district of California on March 1 alleges that Coinbase customers lost millions as the exchange tipped off its employees and a few customers about the impending launch of bitcoin cash trading before the formal announcement. This allowed them to trade bitcoin cash earlier resulting in a sudden spike in its price, it further says. Bankers will not like Bitcoin Cash as it is more difficult to be centralized as the block size is bigger and people can use the network more directly.

What really distinguish BCH from BTC? Except low fee, faster transactions and bigger block. Why do you think it is superior? I'm not a troll or anything like that I'm just being curious. Is development really decentralized or it is just being maintained by solely deadalinx? I know Bitcoin Unlimited develop BCH full node and Bitcoin ABC develop client. And there are other supporters. What is exactly you mean by saying Satoshi vision.
It's interesting for me. And I think it will be helpful for newcomers.
BCH's vision is basically different because of: -there's no Segwit -removed RBF and CPFP -no fears for on-chain scaling, with (potentially) LN as an additional use case As usually, time will tell who's right I hope BCH will adopt the RSK or other layer two when they are ready.

Sorry if this in not relevant. I need some information.. I'm completely new here because my friend is making me excited about Bitcoin. He invested a lot last year and he's making money every month. Now I want to get in too, but Bitcoin is just too much for me. So I saw Bitcoin Cash and like it. Can this be just as expensive as Bitcoin is now? Thank youuu Historically it's been on a downward trend with the odd pump that keep the value up if you have to ask these questions then you will loose money Do you think strange that the price has been around $1200 for about a week?

You are doing very well, I see the price up, this will have a new high point it?
Definitely Ethereum goin' very well right now. Price rising $326.75 and still rising. Especially Ethereum now number #2 on coinmarketcap list. If Price goin' like this then easily Ethereum will be hit $400 next month. Good Luck. I agree. Imo, we will end up around 380-400$ end of week. The situation in the crypto world (BTC -BCC ect ) is very good for ETH imo, good luck gooooooooo ETH I think the Bitcoin Cash could replace the Bitcoin for many transactions.

Economy / Speculation / Re: The market is nearly 119 billion, it can increase 25 billion?

I think you got your answer. The price is now $4,350+ and increasing $100 every day. The market cap just passed PayPal, for crying out loud! I think it will pass Apple in a few years. Then it will be more than Gold. Apple's market cap is $850 Bn. So it is still some distance away. It might take more than a few years. But if I was asked to bet whether Apple will reacg $1 Tn first or cryptocurrencies, I would bet on cryptocurrencies. I think it will take 3 to 5 years for the bitcoin price to be $100,000 each. So it will overtake the Apple. It also depends the Bitcoin can be traded in China again.

I'm thinking about my next move: On Aug 1st BitCoin Cash (BCH) hard forked from BitCoin. As of 00:22 31 Aug BCH is worth $576.58US, not a bad payday for doing nothing. This is what I'm thinking, in the next day or so, I should some of my bitcoin, buy Ethereum tokens, and wait for Ethereum to hard fork into Ethereum metropolitan/ Ethereum. After the split, I would transfer back to bitcoin, but guarantee myself some Ethereum metropolitan. This is a real problem, because BitCoin is in an upward trend, so is Ethereum. I am throwing it open to the members of Crypt0's news group! What are your ideas?
There will be a hard fork, but there will not be a split.

OK what gives, BTC @ $1850 and this crap isn't getting pulled up too??? I'm being cooked alive by my GPUs for barely enough to buy a cup of coffee!!!
I'd love to buy some BTCs @ $1850 now I sold all my BTC for shitcoins weeks ago and they all tanked, I lost so much money QQ. The crypto market has sucked for the last 3 weeks prety badly, I'm praying for ETH to jump to $300. I did not sell any bitcoin in the last two weeks. I believe the temporary drop the bitcoin price will be brief.

Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2016-07-04] Investment Funds That Offer Cryptocurrency Exposure See Big Gains
|
on: July 04, 2017, 06:02:22 PM

Bitcoin has basically outperformed any kind of asset for years now, so this isn't anything new for me, neither should it be new for others. I however did notice a sudden change in the mentality of people around me that usually try to allocate a certain percentage of their monthly wage to stocks. Instead of stocks, they are diving into crypto. Some even take it a bit too serious, and invest thousands of Euro's into GPU's to mint various altcoins. I am happy to see that things are changing, because it wasn't all that long ago that people around me were a tad bit sceptical about the real purpose of Bitcoin & Co.
That is right. I think the coin fund will also reduce certain risk.
