Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happened?

on: September 07, 2017, 02:18:42 PM
|
Newbie in crypto, invested for fun in some interesting projects, I saw most of notable coin ( and BTC too) are falling down. Someone can explain?
I always see threads like this first thing in the morning. I see them and they imply that the entire cryptocurrency Market is down. I used to panic 2 years or a more back and rush off to check my Bitcoin account and the exchanges. I found that time and time again Bitcoin had either not changed, barely dropped, or actually increased. So no need to put attention to these fud of bitcoin dying etc.

The difficulty is high enough that it's not something you could just mine for fun and produce that number of real quick, it's got to the point where there is no way that it's return is going to beat your cost. The value doesn't gain enough to really make it a good investment. It's been around long enough and the price is high enough that it doesn't really make it a good trading device for arbitration. Doge has been the king of that for a long time.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are Most Cryptocurrencies Doomed to Collapse — because they’re “ICO-issued”?

on: September 07, 2017, 01:54:00 PM

The difference between the older new coin' process without the Ico was that left those with some of their coin out there , no Exchange , and maybe half a dozen other processes in the works, pretty much just a general mess, and still no resources. The only difference with the Ico is that the coin is listed at at least one Exchange, The Exchange forced him to do a little bit of work as far as and announcements, placement of the wallet files, and a few other things, and lastly the teams at least now have some starting capital.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO is officially banned in China !!!
|
on: September 07, 2017, 12:05:48 PM

Why do you think that happened in China?
I think only scammed ICO are banned or how it will go about in the future. Steps will be taken to make sure Scam ICO cant be run in the first place and only legal ICO can run. This can be done by registering the ICO through some authority who will check the status and give the grantee that ICO is legal or maybe take some money as a backup so that no one cant even think of scam. Need to be patient and see how things turn out in the future.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hotels accepting bitcoin

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/videos/b/4a0b16dd-6783-4dac-9fa0-76e923c9a774According to this link, a bloomberg news site, it was mentioned that there are two hotels in LAS Vegas that accepts bitcoin as payment for hotels, food and drinks. If you want to visit this place as a tourist or to gamble and you happened to lost your money to gambling you can always use you stored bitcoins to get a room to sleep and relax and enjoy the food and booze. i think is good news, bitcoin as payment for hotels, it looks like the more famous bitcoin may soon be bitcoin will be legalized around the world ,, let's expect same bitcoin legalized Not many hotels are accepting bitcoins these days and there can be multiple reasons for it. Firstly, there are not many people who are willing to pay in bitcoins due to whatever reasons. Maybe they do not have bitcoins or they do not have even knowledge of bitcoins. Secondly Hotels may not introduce bitcoins for only handful of people and they might be waiting for large masses to accept bitcoin first.

Seems like an odd time to post the thread. I don't think you at this particular time that Dodge is changed dramatically. I know that I haven't considered it super successful the past couple years but it seems to be holding it down at the current time. I think that one of its big things that keeps it at least where it is is the fact that there are three types of exchanges. There are those exchanges which only allow Trading Bitcoin for another currency and Back Again, there are those that have the big three and there are those that have an extensive list of coins can be used to trade for other coins.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The next Bitcoin?
|

Yes I really depends on what you mean by used. Firstly, the biggest use of bitcoin right now, it's simply to hold value on an exchange. This can be because that values be used to trade other cryptocurrencies, or it can't be because the Bitcoin is coming from a revenue source and being held there until finally being exchanged to Fiat. The secondary largest use would of course be to purchase items. Each has a different reason for its current level of popularity.

Sounds nice, I simply have two questions. Number one, I assume since your listing is here that you accept Bitcoin as payment. Number two, also in regards to the location of your listing. Most of us have found that many of these virtual systems have a variety of rules and terms as to what they can be used for and the majority of those sites will shut you down pretty quick using a VPS to either operate coin mining or another cryptocurrency intensive act. Since your listing this year, I assume that you guys are okay with apps running 100% of the time mining crypto.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now ETH is going down to the dip. You SOLD or HOLD?
|
on: September 04, 2017, 04:35:29 AM
|
I think a lot of the energy that has been into the entire crypto world over the past six months based on things like August 1st, and other changes have been made generally is petering out and that's showing on most of the coins that have been around for a while. Bitcoin obviously is holding fine but that is just based on the fact that people doing the values go up so obviously they're going to buy more. Eth is down only because of the fact that BTC is increasing fast.

Obviously, just being smart isn't enough. I wouldn't even really call it a matter of strategy. The fact is that there are several trading robots or automated software packages that do what most of us can do. I'm not saying that investment is something that can be handled by a robot, but what I am saying is that the ability to recognize the same set of criteria over and over again at the act on those over and over again is important.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain applied to Healthcare

I think perhaps two projects that we're going to connect to the Healthcare System. I don't know what happened with them, but obviously they're dipping into a business that has a high amount of Regulation. Bitcoin is not much popular in healthcare business yet.
My wife works in the healthcare insurance industry and she constantly has 500 to 600 pages of new or altered regulations on her desk at any moment. So what any of these projects is looking at doing is taking highly regulated information and somehow integrating a tattoo a nearly 100% transparent Digital model.

on: September 03, 2017, 04:10:31 PM

Ok everyone, I am new here and I hope I'm in the right place with my post. I am trying to find out if there is a list on the forum here of the most trusted sites to buy bitcoin from and also the best sites to buy from where I can instantly purchase coins and be able to immediately transfer them to my wallet. I am trying to make a purchase this weekend and need somewhere I can purchase some where I will be able to use them right away. Thanks!
There are several places where you can take care of that. If it hasn't already been mentioned there is of course paxful and localbitcoins.com, these provide Bitcoin for you with it probably 2 hours to put it on how you're paying for them, the sites provide escrow for your security, and setting up your account is very quick without any major Hoops to jump through as far as ID verification stuff like that.

|
on: September 03, 2017, 06:58:41 AM

I haven't looked at it very much because of the fees, but obviously it comes from a company that's got a decent history. If you have any coding experience at all I would put in the time to creating your own using an API rather than grabbing one from somebody else. When a coin is released on here we usually get open source, but a lot of software like trading Bots don't seem to produce open-source so I wouldn't want to trust it with my finances.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BlockChain vs Internet boom
|
on: September 03, 2017, 04:12:50 AM
|
What are the similarities and differences between the current Blockchain boom and Internet boom back in late 90's. My guess, blockchain protocols (i.e. Bitcoin, ETH, Bitshare, WAVES) will grow faster than the combined value of the applications built on top it. This is big change from the previous internet boom where investing in applications (i.e. Facebook, Ebay, Linkedin, ...etc) produced high returns whereas investing directly in protocol (i.e. TCP/IP, HTTP, SMTP) technologies generally produced low returns.
Agree or disagree? let me know your thoughts
I don't know. It seems like this particular wave has lasted a lot longer with a lot more energy behind it than the internet boom. Obviously the internet hasn't gone anywhere, but each change in the internet and each new technology led to a new boom, which transfer the energy from that last boom, to the next. Whereas, the cryptocurrency world is more isolated so all of that energy has remained within that one system.

Just a side note here. I recently saw, having nothing at all to do with crypto currency, a specific virus type that can operate inside and outside of a virtual machine. Now this particular think doesn't really apply here because it encourages the people to download app reconstructed virtual machine image, and then it outside file allows that virtual disk to be opened even while the emulator is not operating.

You can never tell. Obviously litecoin, doge and a few others aren't going anywhere. But as far as ones that are coming out right now there are so many factors that determine their success that you have no idea what's going to last what's not. There's a coin out there that came out, had a huge first couple of weeks and then died completely and it has actually had the community come back three or four times in the past year trying to revive that point.

hello, I was wondering if major and smaller banks invested in Bitcoin or other Altcoins? I think they did but, the question is how? and with which methods? of course any bank will never say it publicly.... someone who knows something can explaine the community? thanks There's a very strict set of limitations on what a bank can and can't invest in. At the same time most of these banking corporations have a board of chairman that they have to satisfy. Even if the chairman of the board is convinced you're going to need a majority of the shareholders and a majority of the board to make that big of a change.

You do understand that we are the only ones that hear these things when they're said right? Bitcoin is not interesting to anyone else except for this community. So it doesn't matter if Donald Trump, Bill Gates, or Moses himself says something about it we're going to be the only ones that are going to pick that particular statement out of a speech or out of a interview. No one else cares. This isn't a bad thing and it shouldn't affect us at all because we're doing just fine.

on: August 30, 2017, 04:26:54 PM

Hi, can you say which ad services are good for faucet webpages? I tested bitclix - cannot login anymore, are they running away? a-ads - I do not get any unique impressions, I do not know why? adsense - actually very good beeads- no response from publishers yet adbit.co - the same coinadvert - the same coinurl - the same the web address is http://faucet.dsgnrt.netI haven't touched it recently but I have only run it to specific ad services that pay out Bitcoin one of them was fairly confusing and the other one was pretty much the same. The thing is that most of the legitimate ad services to payout Fiat will eventually pull their ads from you if they find it, You're putting them on a faucet site.
