1  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hey Bitcoiners what do think about Teens learning Bitcoin and Tech on: June 30, 2025, 09:58:35 PM
Bitcoin and Blockchain technology is the future and there's a need that such skills are included in the curriculum of students into tech so to stay relevant in the society and also ahead of the time. Because this will help them understand the digital world better and even potentially a lucrative career part for the children because teens tends to learn things even faster, So you're on the right track of educating these young ones.
Well said. Not only bitcoin and its blockchain serve as our future, but they are starting to become relevant these days. That’s because, the more people have understood the concept of bitcoin, the more they are conveyed to start using it these days, if not as a currency, at least they start seeing it as an essential investment.

Good luck OP, my only hope is that they won’t be your last students but as time goes by, you will be given more interested students that will help in the promotion of bitcoin when it’s actually needed to.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do newbies have visibility? on: June 30, 2025, 09:14:02 PM
I was thinking of something earlier, something that I noticed with some social media websites, where new people on the platforms usually do not have full visibility at once with whatever contribution they make until they get to a certain level. Is this forum like that, or is every contribution that is made by a newbie like me here visible to every body of all ranks to see.

What ever post you make it's visible to every user and every rank level unlike those kinds of platforms you were talking about. And one thing I love about this forum is, even a newbie can make a more constructive post and come up with informative idea that can enlighten both higher rank members. It all about your level of exposure amd contribution to the topic being discussed rather than you rank. However as a newbie it would be better to make educative posts rather than spamming the forum, well from what I see from your post you're doing good, keep it up.
The forum is never focused on higher ranks, nor on newbies that are still in the learning process. In fact, this forum offers equal opportunities to both. So for newbies, this is a perfect opportunity to create your own name  in the forum, where majority of members will recognize you and will remember of who you are based on how significant your post is.

There is no limited visibility, the more you post, the more you become visible to others. But always know, this isn’t just for posting purposes, you need to ensure first that you are sharing a relevant topic and create a good discussion that will bring new interesting lesson for everyone.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Secret to success of long term betting. on: June 30, 2025, 12:58:25 PM
Hence long term betting is rarely profitable and if you dont believe this you can try it out yourself and see.

That’s the right thing to do.. better to try it out first rather than make conclusions without even giving it a shot. And it’s not really expensive when we’re talking about long-term gambling. You can start with a small bankroll. Most sportsbooks have affordable minimums, some as low as $1 per bet. So even with just $100, you can already start and treat that as your bankroll to see if you can grow it over time. It’s a realistic way to test your strategy without risking too much.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2025 NBA Season on: June 30, 2025, 12:33:03 PM
True, but there are some eagle eyes fans who said that Malik might have been doing it for years like when he was still with the Wolves. There was one game that it's just 5 seconds and it should be officially over as their opponents is way ahead.

But then Malik scored in that last 5 seconds to cut the lead and maybe fans are speculating that his bets is on the line that time that's why even if it customary that no team should score because the game has been decided already. But Malik didn't stop and dunk the ball on their court to cut the lead of their opponents.

Very suspicious of him to do that.

Let’s just wait for the results of the investigation. We all know that there was already one player banned from the NBA because of this, Jontay Porter was banned last year for violating league rules, and Malik is now being accused of something similar. It’s unfortunate because Malik had a solid season with the Pistons, and if this proven, its not only his reputation is at risk, but the reputation of the NBA as well.
5  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why does war always affect the price of Bitcoin on: June 29, 2025, 09:58:54 PM
Not just war, but all events that will involved multiple countries, it will directly affect bitcoin and how its price moves in the market. But no worries, all of those will only create temporary effects, after that once recovery is on its way, then it will create great momentum for bitcoin to skyrocket and even reach a new peak if possible.

Bitcoin still moves following its own pattern, despite some global events that affect it, so it’s still expected for bitcoin to come up with its new all time high no matter how tough the market is.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to your crypto if something happens to you? on: June 29, 2025, 09:31:10 PM
As much as possible, if you can have someone whom you can trust with your crypto assets like your real-life partner or a very reliable friend, then it would help you securing your bitcoin or other coins before an unexpected incident will happen.

Although that’s not a compulsory requirement, but it would lessen your worries about the future if you can make them aware or teach them earlier on how they can protect your crypto assets, even without your presence. Or as much as possible, train your kids earlier so they can continue your legacy even when you’re gone.
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: man up and stop blaming casinos on: June 28, 2025, 01:33:02 PM

Dumb people can go on for years shifting blames because they don't want to accept defeat or accept their own mistakes, it happens, but someone who can change something knows deep down that accepting mistakes and learning from them is how we truly wins.

One of the mistakes that's hard to accept is when we lose because we lost control.. it's frustrating, especially when you know the loss didn’t come from a bad read or poor stats, but simply from letting emotions take over, that kind of mistake is tough because it's on us, not the game.

On the other hand... errors like picking the wrong team or misjudging the total can be learned from as those are based on stats and analysis, and over time we can improve. But if you can’t control your emotions it’s really hard to stay consistent and win in the long run.

Congrats to Alex Eala for advancing to the finals.

Unfortunately, I didn’t win my bet as I got a bit overconfident and took the -4.5 handicap on Eala. I
t was a close match overall, and the spread didn’t cover.

Here’s how the match went:

1st set: 7-5 Eala
2nd set: 6-2 Gracheva
3rd set: 6-3 Eala

-4.5 on what? I’m not betting on tennis market aside from ML. Are you betting -4.5 on specific set?
It was based on the overall score. Unfortunately, Eala only scored 2 games in the second set, so even though she won the third set, my bet still lost.

Anyway, I watch the game and it’s goosebumps to see how Alex play against much experienced players. She is dominating this tournament and I hope she will win this championship to give her a boost to aim a higher achievement in the future.

I will place bet on ML in the finals. Let’s go.

Good luck, its already starting and Eala is already behind, but the odds now for her to win is x5.10/
I'm taking that.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When your kid talk about Bitcoin don't assume it's all good on: June 28, 2025, 12:35:14 PM
If my kid is still too young, I wouldn’t teach them about Bitcoin yet as they likely won’t be interested anyway. And honestly, it’s too risky for them to learn about it early on, especially once they start earning. That could easily lead to gambling behavior, which isn’t far off when you're dealing with volatile assets.

IMO, there’s a right time for everything. Since Bitcoin is a high-risk investment or asset, it shouldn't be introduced at a very young age. Let kids be kids first... when they grow up and mature, that’s when they’ll be better equipped to understand and handle things like Bitcoin responsibly.

11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bhutan's Bitcoin Reserve Surges 900% to $1.3 Billion on: June 27, 2025, 12:16:21 PM
They actually started small and scaled over time. Now they’re mining around 3 to 5 BTC per day, which is pretty solid.

That’s a big amount of money .. at current prices, they’re making around $535,000 at most. That’s probably close to some of their other main sources of income, so it makes sense why they’re focused on Bitcoin mining.

What’s even better is that they’ve held most of what they’ve mined, which could pay off big once the price climbs higher in the future.
Honestly, I think the country should consider making Bitcoin legal tender. It’s a small nation with likely minimal external debt, and the IMF probably won’t keep a close eye on them like they did with El Salvador.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 PBA Governor's Cup on: June 26, 2025, 10:46:29 PM
SMB is expected to bounce back in Game 2 with the current lines:

SMB -5.5, moneyline at 1.44
Total is set at 184.5, which is quite low compared to the previous game’s 192.5.

What’s your take on this one? Do you see SMB evening the series and covering the spread?
And for the total, are we looking at another low-scoring affair? Last game both teams only combined for 144, way under the line.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 26, 2025, 10:29:49 PM
I'm not really a big fan of tennis, but since Eala is playing in less than an hour, I just want to ask here if it's a good idea to bet on her.

Here are the moneyline betting odds:

Eala – 2.24
Yastremska – 1.66

YES - oops its a bit late, she already won, great win from Yastremska who herself
has been quite good. TBH I wouldnt have bet on Eala at the start of the match, she
is still new and learning. She faces Gracheva who I have never heard of so maybe
another win for her coming up...
I forgot to check the replies here and just went ahead and placed my bet on her. Turned out to be the right call since she won the match in straight sets, 2-0. Now she's heading to the semifinals, and honestly, after proving herself like that, I'll keep backing her no matter who she faces next.

Lots of missed possession by them and Ginebra, on the other hand, make sure that their possession will gain a sure score.

Yeah… I guess one of the reasons is that Fajardo isn’t playing a lot of minutes. We all know Coach Leo relies heavily on him for their offense, so without him on the floor, SMB’s offense really struggles.

And once again, CJ was inconsistent. He scored a lot in one quarter, but in the 4th, he couldn’t help the team close it out because he missed a lot of shots. You can really see the difference in coaching during crucial moments, and Tim Cone is clearly better than Coach Leo in that department.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Be Happy Earning 10% of Your Bankroll monthly? on: June 24, 2025, 01:31:13 PM
That means 120% per year.. that’s already a huge return if you're guaranteed to earn that percentage monthly. I’d definitely be happy with that, and it would even make me more eager to increase my capital. You know what they say, the bigger the risk, the bigger the return.

But unfortunately, it doesn’t really work like that. Even the pros can’t guarantee profitability. They also go through losing months. So it really depends, and we can only speak confidently if we’ve actually experienced it ourselves and managed to hit that kind of profit margin consistently.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Entertainment Mindset = Losing Bets? on: June 24, 2025, 12:28:12 PM
You should understand that gambling is luck and sometimes our luck works with our mindset. Your home work and strategy can't fetch you profits. However, we differ from each other likewise our luck and destiny. I have won some of my bets that I don't take seriously and that has made me believe that luck superceed strategy or seriousness when gambling.
If you’re always thinking about luck, you won’t really see if you’re actually good or not, because whether you win or lose, you’ll just blame or credit it to luck. That’s the only outcome in your mind. So for sports bettors who believe in luck alone, there’s really no point in keeping records or tracking results. No need for spreadsheets or anything to evaluate performance, since they don’t think skill has anything to do with it.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is taxing gamblers meant to raise revenue or discourage gambling? on: June 24, 2025, 12:05:19 PM
Heard in some countries there is actually 30-40% tax on winnings, that's crazy!

That’s like giving away almost half of your winnings. Gamblers definitely won’t be happy with that. Yeah, we win sometimes, but when that big win finally comes, the government still takes a share from it.

With that setup, we really don’t stand a chance at winning in the long run. They always get a slice of the pie, but when we lose big, there’s no such thing as a tax refund. What kind of policy is that?
19  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big country grab Huge btc day by day, It's not bad for btc ecosystem? on: June 24, 2025, 02:55:28 AM

Bitcoin is making its way into America, with Texas allowing direct crypto purchases under new legislation, and its (US) Bitcoin reserves are growing by the day.
It's clear that they see a bright future for it.

Won't it effect btc ecosystem If any big country (China , USA)  reserve huge of bitcoin?

China isn’t really pro-Bitcoin, even though they’re holding a huge portion of it from past confiscations. So I wouldn’t expect them to join the party anytime soon. But even if they don’t, it’s already enough that other major countries are starting to accumulate Bitcoin for their reserves. With limited supply, there’s only one direction the price can go.... and that’s up.
20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2025 NBA Season on: June 24, 2025, 02:20:57 AM
And another “what if” moment in the NBA Finals, again. He was clearly on fire in the first quarter, of all times, it had to happen in Game 7 of the Finals. You could clearly see how Hali felt when he was down on the floor, not just the physical pain, but more so the emotional and mental toll. After this, we don’t know if he will return to playing the same way again.

Anyway, congratulations to OKC. SGA has a lot of haters, but we can’t deny that he deserves the MVP. He’s been consistent throughout the entire season.
He’s just like LeBron who has a lot of haters, but no denying he’s great on his own. The Clippers probably gave up too much for PG, and now seeing how things turned out, they might be regretting that decision. Same with the Lakers, they let go of Caruso who’s been a great defender, and now look  they might actually want him back.

But anyway, enough of that. OKC deserved this win.
They’ve been the number 1 team in the West, especially in defense, so it’s really no surprise they won the championship.
