221  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where do you see Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies in ten years? on: July 06, 2018, 10:02:51 PM
many altcoins will become dead projects and some altcoins will show their existence
with many advantages of bitcoin, but i guess bitcoin still leads the marketcap
and yes people started accepting cryptocurrency in 10 years

I think you are right. As it's already happening, many AltCoins projects will continue failing and there will be thousands of useless currencies in ten years. Bitcoin will continue ruling the Crypto world, at least the decentralized Crypto world. I believe Crypto-Currency will be divided in two parts: The decentralized side and the centralized side, ruled by the countries governments.

There is a chance more countries ban Bitcoin and force people to use their own Crypto-Currencies, the centralized ones. Then Bitcoin will be a resistence against this control some governments will try to impose over Crypto world. Those who wants to keep the decentralization strong will have to use Bitcoin or the centralized forces will prevail. Bitcoin keeps strong, centralized AltCoins gain strength and other common AltCoins die or stay in second plan as always.
222  Other / Off-topic / Re: Self-education. on: July 06, 2018, 04:46:05 PM
It can work if the person is curious, smart and seek for real knowledge, not status. But it's not that easy... With a tutor, teacher, master it can be more didactic and this another person can help you to expand your horizons, he/she can present you informations you didn't have any notion before (and that you would never have any notion with pure self-education, by yourself). If you can have help from somebody else to educate yourself, don't waste this chance.

Unfortunatelly for some people self-education means to be self-sufficient, and no one can be self-sufficient in this world...
223  Economy / Economics / Re: Is cryptocurrency help to expand the world business? on: July 06, 2018, 03:56:20 PM
If you check, gambling business have already expanded a lot its activities by adopting Crypto-Currency. People from countries where gambling is forbidden have only the option to gamble online with Crypto-Currency. Another people want to avoid fees when dealing with people from foreigner countries, and with Crypto-Currency they can skip these fees now. Fees that were going to middlemen services and bureaucratic sectors of the local governments.

It also makes people who are far from each other to be "closer" without being necessary to be physically together, what makes much easier to deal and transact. Surely it helps businesses to expand in the world.
224  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holders will betray bitcoin one day on: July 04, 2018, 03:27:39 PM
What I understand is that speculators (not holders) pump and dump the currency's price to make profit, but holders don't follow their movements, as they aren't focused in fast profit or trading, but long term gains... What could happen in my opinion is that one day, when BTC hit a really awesome price, these holders will start selling their coins and then Bitcoin would be negatively affected (could this be considered a betrayal?).

But at same time, the adoption will be high and the number of coins being sold (supply) would have enough public to buy them (demand) without hurting Bitcoin's price very much.
225  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency on: July 04, 2018, 03:15:03 AM
Can cryptocurrency become universal means of exchange. I mean can it be a global legal tender like the physical money

Nope. It does not have that kind of characteristic which it should have if it has to be global legal tender. Plus being decentralised it breaks all the rules of government and regulatory bodies by not working within single perimeter. It works over public ledger so its difficult to regulate it. If you try to regulate it then it can no longer be the same as you see it today. In addition to this if you see the prices then they are always fluctuating one and there is no way to stabilise them and thus its almost impossible to use it for daily life and may not be accepted as it is for global use.

Crypto-Currency is unstoppable, at some point it will be used like physical money is used nowadays. The decentralization isn't a must, there could be centralized Crypto-Currencies created by governments to be used on their countries. So they could regulate and control it easier. Now some countries started studying this new technology and sooner or later they will develop something related to Crypto world to benefit themselves, keeping the financial system centralized.
226  Economy / Economics / Re: Let's suppose that Bitcoin became universal (used everywhere you go) on: July 03, 2018, 12:52:08 AM
That would actually be plausible though. Having Bitcoin in our daily lives would make it easier as using Bitcoin is a less hustle rather than using those fiat moneys that are easily manipulated. Imagine using a credit card that is made specifically for Bitcoin, that would be great. Regarding the taxes. We simply really cannot avoid the tax that the government will implement because there are a lot of ways for them to know more about you and that things that you are going to purchase when Bitcoin become a normal everyday thing and not as an investment.

Yes, taxes can't be completely avoided. A shop would still need to pay taxes to exist, people would still need to pay taxes to toll roads on the highways to pass with their cars... Taxes would be still diluted on the goods prices like food, clothes, electronics, services, tools... Maybe just some abusive taxes would be avoided and then the society would have to learn how to live without them! (Decreasing the size of the state's machine for an example).
227  Economy / Economics / Re: Why lot of countries do not allow to use Crpto? on: July 02, 2018, 07:06:11 PM
Indeed it's positive for the citizens of a country who want to increase their income smartly and independently, but it's not good for a select group who usually "control" the country and people's money when they put it on the banks and let it generating pennies as income. When a more profitable opportunity appears (trading, Crypto-Currency), it means there will be less money on these banks, so there will be less money for these powerful guys use to make profit for themselves, while giving you pennies. These powerful guys are being removed from their "confort zone" and it makes them angry... That is a good reason why the use of Bitcoin is discouraged and in some cases banned.
228  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Legal guns to protect from government = bitcoin to protect from banks? on: July 02, 2018, 03:53:59 PM
Good analogy. It makes sense... Even because governments are always trying to implement gun control politics, also always trying to implement regulations over Bitcoin.

Their strategy: To use fear against people in both cases. To make people fear guns, to fear Bitcoin, so the government can control/regulate anything easily, without resistance.
229  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin recovering ? on: July 02, 2018, 03:14:39 PM
Current price is around 6300. Cant really say that we recovered. There is a great chance we might move to 5k -6k zone again. We need some very good news to boost the price. Some very big exchanges are relaunching, like BTCC, which is situated in HK and London now.

It's already at $6640 at this moment. Nice recovery in price since days ago. Suddenly the scenario became very positive with speculations of hitting $50.000 by the end of this year, as it's possible to see on the most recent news about Bitcoin on Google. I don't know if this increasement in price is solid, but at least it gives investors new expectations and hope. That all some people needed so far, as the morale was low.
230  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin holders will have to pay their tax? on: July 01, 2018, 12:59:43 AM
What will happen on BTC if the government will said that all the bitcoin holder have to pay their tax??
Maybe the expansion of BTC community will get low than usual.

no need to worry about it. Because the government does not know exactly who owns the bitcoin and how much they own. Bitcoin is completely transparent with the transaction, but it is also completely anonymous on the owner. It's like a double-edged sword.
That's right no need to worry, nothing to worry because government connot trace our transaction. Bitcoin is secure and we are anonymous, there's nothing more files it's just user name and private key.
A government can implement tax only on products and assets and can not implement on a currency. We use different currencies and government has no right over our holding currencies because tax system is limited only to the assets a person has. Actually government is trying to have a grasp and influence on our cryptocurrencies because it is decentralized and they want to benefit by implementing tax over it but this is irrelevant because it is a currency and not asset.

In many countries Bitcoin and any other AltCoin have the same status of an asset. They already apply the same rules of assets on Crypto-Currencies too. However it's not so easy as Crypto-Currency is near to anonymity and it's hard to know who owns Bitcoins. Theoretically everyone has to pay a determined percentage of their profit made with Crypto-Currency to the government, but in case of loss the investor is playing by themself, the government doesn't share the loss...
231  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you use cryptocurrency cards? on: July 01, 2018, 12:00:24 AM
This kind of card (credit or debit) can be very useful nowadays for people who deal with Crypto-Currency on their daily lives, like traders, gamblers and even merchants. I say useful because people can convert Crypto-Currency into fiat instantly, paying for any kind of service and goods they need. However, it doesn't follow totally the Crypto-Currency's purpose, that is to skip all the kinds of middle-men in a negociation...
232  Economy / Speculation / Re: At least waiting for good and not waiting for nothing! on: June 27, 2018, 12:13:37 AM
I share your thoughts, Bitcoin has already "died" many times and we are still here... And it's always better to be waiting for something than be waiting for nothing. It gives us an incentive to believe and to continue engaged in our mission, in this case, to support Bitcoin and all the features it brings to innovate the future of financial system and its impact over our lives.

Each optimistic person affects the next one to be optimistic as well, in the end it becomes a chain of good thoughts, strengthening Bitcoin. So keep on waiting and believing! It won't be in vain!
233  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin ethical? on: June 24, 2018, 11:09:14 PM
It's like asking: Are guns ethical? And the answer will be the same: Depend who is using it, for what reason it's being used...
An inanimate object/item can never be ethical or unethical.

The unethical practice related to Bitcoin is that there are people who use it to cause harm to others, to steal, to deceive... However to become rich with Bitcoins in a legit way isn't a shame, but to envy people seems unethical...
234  Economy / Economics / Re: How well do cryptocurrencies fulfil the functions of money? on: June 24, 2018, 09:46:54 PM
You have many truthful points on your article. I also think there isn't any way to stop Crypto-Currency anymore. The institutions will have to adapt themselves to it to continue existing. The centralized economies can't continue abusing the citizens anymore in the name of the poorest ones, the bankers, the elite's friends or who else is taking advantage from the average citizen's efforts.

But between the 3 money's functions listed, I think the only one Bitcoin doesn't fulfill at this moment is the Store of Value. Means of Payment is Ok, even for the currently conditions. It can be used as a mean of payment normally, the volatility can be avoided by exchanging the transacted coins to fiat after the negotiation.
235  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you accept army teachers or not? on: June 24, 2018, 06:42:42 PM
In chaotic times like these I think it's Ok. The teachers won't kill their students, they would use weapons only to protect them, if needed. Guns aren't evil, people using them may be. And when there is an evil person using a gun, it's better you have a good person near you with a gun too...

Thieves, criminals, psychopaths will never follow the law. You can forbid guns, but they will keep armed, while the good citizens, following the law will be slayed without the minimum chance to defend themselves.
236  Economy / Economics / Re: Why all people moan about the price of bitcoin? on: June 23, 2018, 02:43:52 PM
Lots of people are complaining but not all the people. And those who camplains are the bitcoin holders. Who else will complain about its decrease? of course its them because they are and they will be affected by it. They bought and hold for their bitcoins to earn in the first place so if it continously decreases they will really complain instead of thinking that they should take advantage and buy more bitcoins. You have a point, people should be interested in buying and investing cause it is in its lower price, and I agree to that. It is our chance to buy bitcoin in its cheaper price and we will earn more. No matter how low its price is, it will still increase in the future so we do not have to worry. But we also cant blame them, those who moans and complains. After all, not all the people share the same perspectives and everyone has their own reasons. Let them be, as long as we are not affected by their whines were good. Let's just persuade others to invest and to be optimistic.

Why would holders complain about Bitcoin's price? They don't have reasons to complain, at least the long term holders, who don't have any intention to sell their coins soon. These fluctuations don't worry them. Most people complaining are the ones dreaming about doubling their money in few days or weeks... They may have their reasons like everyone else, but I think it just makes Bitcoin looks worse among potential investors and newbies.

Before moaning, would be nice if people checked informations like those presented in OP. I'm sure they would calm down and stay more patience.
237  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency is a trending topic all over the world? on: June 22, 2018, 06:10:19 PM
Actually the interest for Bitcoin and Crypto-Currency isn't on its top right now. I have seen news telling how the interest for this topic is falling at this moment on the internet (on Google). The haters and celebrities help Crypto-Currency to be known on short term, but if the market isn't solid, if there are many regulations and many scam projects, this interest will decrease gradually on medium term, because the negative experience enthusiasts are having and because haters make this negative experience looks worse!

However, on long term the scenario is very optimistic as Crypto-Currency world is always reinventing itself with infinite possibilities of inovation.
That is the guarantee Crypto-Currency came to stay.
238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dark net druggist identified by BTC transactions on: June 22, 2018, 12:18:00 AM
Very good, if Blockchain were adopted in public administrations corruption would be tracked easier too, like this guy was tracked dealing with drugs. The system is easy to use even for laymen and it's more transparent than any transparency system used by public administrations nowadays.

If the authorities want to take the criminals, it's better they incentive people to use Bitcoins! The problem is that in many cases the authorities have schemes with these criminals, so it's better to keep the traditional system working for the good sake of both parties... And if it's necessary to blame something, that Bitcoin be blamed as the criminal!
239  Economy / Economics / Re: When the government forbids cryptocurrency on: June 21, 2018, 11:03:30 PM
I feel sorry for you and your country... Seems people there is very passive as the government is constantly restricting your liberties even more. Isn't there any resistence to it?

If your people isn't vigilant, step by step the government will put more restrictions over the citizens, and when people finally wake up, it will be too late! Look what happened in Venezuela. Remember that all kinds of evil practiced are presented as positive measures at first.
240  Economy / Economics / Re: "We need to think deeply about the economic function of money" on: June 21, 2018, 12:50:05 AM
I believe there are 3 options: To use centralized currencies, to use decentralized currencies or to exchange goods for goods without "money". None of these options look perfect for me, all of them have their advantages and disadvantages, but we have to pick at least one of them to survive in society...

Sometimes to think deeply just makes everything more confused and complex. The economical function of the money isn't to guarantee you 100% stability over your properties (I think that is impossible), if that is your goal, find another way to store your properties and expect money to be only a "medium of payment", this function money accomplishes very well.
