Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-19] Bitcoin Price Recovers Above $3.7K as Novogratz Predicts No Further

Yes because of so many speculations there could be one that will going to predict correctly. Others had gone predicted that bitcoin will gone down to 2.5K USD which for now more or likely it will not going to happen. Since market price for bitcoin has probably faced its bottom line which is 3.2K USD and now well just have to wait and see if it is a bull run or a bull trap.
Even the BTC drops below $2500, that will be very brief period. It is the same for the Bitcoin Cash.

Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-04-13] Billionaire Tim Draper Sets $250,000 Bitcoin Price Target for 2022
|
on: April 15, 2018, 10:04:08 AM
|
Tech billionaire Tim Draper, an avowed cryptocurrency bull, has set a $250,000 bitcoin price target for 2022.
Draper made the bold prediction April 12 at the 2018 Block (Chain) Party at his self-named Draper University in San Mateo, California.
“I’m thinking $250,000 a bitcoin by 2022,” Draper said (via Reddit). “Believe it. They’re going to think you’re crazy, but believe it. It’s happening and it’s going to be awesome!”
McAfee was predicting 1 million by 2020, and he did something terrible ..)) I think that 250 or even 500k is real by 2022, but only if countries wouldn't intervention tough in the regulation and other processes related to cryptocurrencies. If the market will be enabled to develop freely, for sure, we will see not only 250 k in 2022. I agree more with the $250,000 target than the $1M target. Timp Draper's predication is more realistic.

BAT: -pool stratum+tcp://daggerhashimoto.eu.nicehash.com:3353 -wal nicehashwallet -pass x -proto 4 -stales 0 -amd
any ideas appreciated!
Mind if I ask why you are mining on nicehash? I mean your earnings will be slightly less compared to any ethereum pool like nanopool and nicehash pays Bitcoin which is higher transaction fees.... Some times I mine there to just get the bitcoin directly.

Hi I am trying to change from Claymore to Phoenix miner (8x Rx580 and 2x GTX1060) from some time ago... with 2.6 version... now trying with 2.7 version. But something weird happens. With phoenixminer I get a lot of flotation on hashrates... se pic: with claymore hasrate is very linear and stable... So well my suggestion would be to revert back to claymore and forget about the whole phoenix miner thing until a new version comes out and works better. See if your shares/payouts make sense, sometimes graphs can be stupid. For the time being, the 2.7C is quite stable. So I will keep on using it.

Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-01-29] IMF’s Lagarde Says That Bitcoin Mining Consumes Too Much Electricit
|
on: February 02, 2018, 11:26:29 AM

Battling climate change is already very alarming and I wish that a new way of mining - one that does not consume that much energy would be discovered really soon. I'm concerned as to how humans have been consuming non-renewable energy at such a fast rate when renewable energy is not yet a thing. This should be given more attention given the effects that this would bring and the possible aftermath if we do not resort to more environment friendly options.
For the bitcoin to be your own bank, the electricity consumption is worth it. How much power does the world's bank consume every day? Much more than Bitcoin.

What mining software are you using? I'm mining ZCash on Gibabyte GeForce 1070s and am getting slightly better results.
2x Gigabyte GTX 1070 ROG STRIX - Ubuntu 16.04 - EWBF ZEC miner 0.3.4b Mem: +0 Clock: +0 Power: 100% Avg Hashrate: ~438 sols/s per card
6x Gigabyte GTX 1070 ROG STRIX - Windows 10 -EWBF ZEC miner 0.3.4b Mem: +634 Clock: +0 Power: 80% Avg Hashrate: ~447 sols/s per card
It is good speed.

They told us the FORK would happen 25oct2017, never happened They told us the coin would go mainet 1NOV2017, never happened The code says main-net begins 07nov2017@0700UTC, the testnet doesn't work and is only 60% functional IMHO when they say "DRAW NEAR", they're talking 2018 It has wasted us many time.

My comment was targeted towards people writing off bitmain as soon as japan etc. enters the game- i agree that the next generation will take some time to be ready as well. While they throw them out like toasters when they can produce them, it takes a wile to develop a new toaster And everything else must be read to manufacture. 7nm will take at least Three years. but I want competition.

I have never had a doubt about Zcash. I am mining it since April when all people were mining Ethereum as I believed more in the longer term and life span of my video cards. A lot of persons are still mining Ethereum to date but if they decide to switch to Zcash this is bad for us who are mining it since long time ago as the difficulty will increase dramatically and the profits will decrease the same way.
Many people have already switched to ZEC. The mining hash rate has risen a lot.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any word on amd vega hash rates?

Hello guys, building a 6xVega XMR mining rig, need some advice. Parts: Asrock H81 Pro BTC R2.0 Intel Celeron G1840 (can't get cheaper CPU) 16GB DDR3 RAM, I already have this 250GB SSD
My problem is Vega 64 and 56 are the same price (600 euros). Should I buy 64s or 56s? Is there any point in buying a Ryzen CPU instead and have it mine as well? Thanks in advance.
If they are the same price, buy the 64. If you want to mine the Monero, you can buy a good CPU.

In my country, the Vega 56 is at 500 €. The Sapphire RX580 Nitro+ 8GB is at 260€. For the price of 1 Vega 56, I get 2 RX580. The choise is easy to made Just curious : what hashrates do you get with the vega 56 ? The biggest I saw was 36 mh/s but maybe it has been increased. I think Rx 580 has shorter ROI.

There's plenty of people tinkering with Vega. It still has potential.
I switched back over to the 8/23 beta mining drivers. Current stats - ETH Only - +50 power. 1137 core/p900. 1000 mem/p900 - making 39.5 mh/s ETH @ 303 watts - total system power. Avg. 1 minute ETH = 35.5 mh/s
Dual Mine - +50 power. 1137 core/p900. 1000 mem/p900 - making 39 mh/s ETH and 2700 mh/s DCR @ 424 watts - total system power. Avg. 1 minute ETH = 33 mh/s
Definitely still has some driver and power management issues
That efficiency is worse than my R 390.

Economy / Economics / Re: How many Bitcoin do you have saved?

on: August 04, 2017, 07:22:12 PM

83
That is great because you are able to save and collect bitcoin up to 83 pieces of bitcoins. If i were you, i will invest at least 3 bitcoins from that 83 to some altcoins so i can have the chance to grow it faster and earn more bitcoins or money so after 10 years i am already a millionaire which i'm buying all the things that i want and having a great lifestyle. 83 is quite a lot. I think in 5 to 10 years, it shall buy 83 house in my area.
