What do you think is holding KMD back from having as big of a market cap as other similar projects like NEO and EOS?
IMHO all this wallet BS is the main thing.......this project launched on 01/09/2016......461 days and virtually every page on this thread has people struggling with wallets. Cheers Jon Agreed. Ive been sitting on 600 KMD's' which I cannot open in any wallet, which means Ive been missing out on rewards for 4 months now. Pathetic that I can't use swing or agama. Have you tried the newest version, SPV mode works very well. artifacts.supernet.org/latest

Depends on which OS you are ?
I use Windows - and it works fine in the SPV Lite Mode
I using Ubuntu-Mate. In version 0.2.0.23a. I don't see an option ot switch to SPV mode in the settings. The other issue is I can't shut down the application properly without either killing the process or logging off. You need to upgrade to latest version, be sure to use the uninstaller. Make copy of wallet.dat if you were using native mode . Latest version can be found at artifacts.supernet.org/latest To access SPV mode 1) run agama 2) click settings 3) enable experimental features 4) save settings 5 ) exit agama 6) restart agama

Agama wallet not working, help please
Just make sure you have a 64-bit processor and OS since KMD is a Zcash fork . One thing to also consider is that try to wait for the index block to load which might take a while before you can see your balance. not working still.Check my screen shoot Connection error! --> DASHBOARD.SPV_CONN_ERROR_SPV1 <-- --> DASHBOARD.SPV_CONN_ERROR_SPV2 <-- You need to update to newest version, the version on the website SPV setting has changed. You can find latest at artifacts.supernet.org/latest

I like how the bch/btc thing made 4channers scream that kmd would die if btc does ~ just because of that whole outside verification thing.
Its like yeah alot of coins would break - fct, xcp lol
That's is a misunderstanding if anyone says if BTC dies Komodo will also die as Delayed Proof of Work (dPoW) notarizations are recorded on Bitcoin. People should read dPoW whitepaper, or watch recent cryptogrinders interview, we have covered about dPoW a lot many times at different places. /Shrug just plan on needing it to explain if the random hype/fud forums decide to raid the thread lol. Easy to explain we just notarize to a different chain.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MNZ][B2B] Monaize - Banking Meets Blockchain

Let me share my skepticism about the Monaize project… For what purposes will the MNZ token be used? At the moment, only for the implementation of the loyalty program? I.e. the actual working application of the token on the platform is not present and, probably, will not be. Representatives of the team ask in telegram-chat what application users would like to see for the token. And this is only a week before ICO , before they sell us these tokens! If the token does not have an application, it does not cost anything! This is a trinket for the sake of taking money through the ICO. But what about the loyalty program, you ask? Passive income - it's cool! Loyalty program ... Let's count a little. Information for calculations is on page 25 of the WP. Let's consider the 5th year. If KMD will cost $ 1 and «NUMBER OF MONTHLY SIGN UPS» = 500000 (as noted in the WP), then by the formula we will all get (5*500000)/1 = 2500000 KMD. I.e 2500000(KMD)*1($) = 2500000 $ for everyone. If KMD will cost $ 100 and «NUMBER OF MONTHLY SIGN UPS» = 500000 (as noted in the WP), then by the formula we will all get (5*500000)/100 = 25000 KMD. I.e 25000(KMD)*100($) = 2500000 $ for everyone. That is the same as in the first case. The number in dollars is equal to the number of signers, multiplied by the bonus (x2/3/x4/x5 depending on the year). That is, from 2018 to 2021 (according to WP), users will receive 40,944,000 $. But with at a rate of 7000 for BTC developers will receive on ICO with a max cup 70,000,000 $. Catch the thought? You give them 70 million, and after 4 years you get a total of 41 mln. I.e. even after 4 years you will not return your investment.Where is the mistake? Show me please! I really hope that somewhere I was wrong. Will there be a loyalty program after 2021? In the WP, nothing is said about this… They say, well, we are building a bank of the future! It's the most important! Yeah, yeah, ok… But what will be for the person who will now give his money for implementation? What profit? The Monaize will have a bank and business, and what will get ICO-participants? In my opinion, it would be fair for passive earnings to allocate a portion of the annual cost of customer service, and not just for SIGN UPS. That there was an analogue of owning shares, not candy wrappers, i.e. to get a part of the company's profits. Or do you think those who give you money are fools, and that they do not deserve fair compensation, as in large real companies. As a KMD-holder, I do not want to throw them into the wind. Argumented criticism is welcome. What did I miss? By your calculations if it just reaches the minimum cap, you would be making approximately 6x your investment. Also future/current use cases could require or at least accept MNZ token to use. So best case scenario you make 6x if you hold and MNZ team hits its goals. Worst case scenario , you 60% ROI from rewards alone ( and this is assuming Komodo doesn't maintain its upward price trajectory ) and you still have all your coins to use. Also the MNZ team can proceed a lot faster raising 10k vs 1k . I believe the loyalty program will be around after 2021, just the multiplier will not increase. Best to wait for an official statement or ask them directly in Slack

I have just successfully downloaded the latest version of Agama wallet and installed . It is fast and a much improved interface. I like the most is I can now claim the Interest as easy as clicking a button. I have tried its passive mode ( formerly basilisk) . I want to try its native (with showing both of my rev and jumblr balance) but I think it would take time downloading the blockchain .
Revs and jumblr blockchains are small shouldn't be an issue to run it native, remember they are on demand blocks

How does this project differ from ZERO or ZENcash for example? Is it the same technology or if it is a modified one which are the differences?
Komodo uses zkSNARK like ZEC and Zencash. However as an additional layer, an application that introduces automation and coin mixing techniques dubbed 'Jumblr' was created to further increase anonymity in areas where zkSNARK isn't fully immune too. This gives Komodo the best privacy available in cryptocurrency. Privacy is just a small aspect of what Komodo really is, through many years of developing blockchain interoperability applications, jl777 has laid the groundwork for a fully functional blockchain ecosystem. Currently coin networks are closed loop systems , through Komodo's interoperability technology it makes cryptocurrency as a whole an open loop system. Taken from https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/contradictory-world-open-closed-loop-payment-systems-monique-maddyA closed-loop payment system means that the card and/or the mobile or digital wallet to which a payment is linked is merchant specific; you need to have funds preloaded to your account, and those funds can only be used to make purchases from the card-issuing merchant. These wallets are not interoperable (you can’t pay for a latte at Starbucks with the funds in your Dunkin’ Donuts account), so you need to manage multiple merchant wallets at once.
An open-loop payment system is one in which money in an account can be used at multiple merchants. Debit and credit cards featuring the Visa or MasterCard logo are examples of open-loop payment systems.
