I try to have as many sources of income as possible, be it active or passive income. It is very hard to depend on mere salary from day job alone. There must be other ways to generate extra income, moreso for someone like me who is the bread winner of my family. True, your job does not assure you to provide you continuous income. Nah, can't see this being a realistic outcome in the future. Mainly because of the fact that Bitcoin is something banks can't verify the source from.
