what year? Only shame is I do not have enough BTC
Two are 1965, the other 3 or 1966. do they have original envelopes and inserts? If so I'm interested in the five of them.
No I don't have the envelopes and inserts. These sets have no real collectors value because so many of them were produced, they are valued by their silver content. That is why I am selling them at scrap prices.

[sarcasm]Quite right. We should form an organization of trusted Bitcoin members to regulate all future transactions. The members will be chosen by popular vote. Votes will be weighted by the amount of Bitcoins one controls. After all, if you can manage to control your Bitcoins, you are more prudent than the rest and deserve more voting power. Any transaction must first be sent to an address controlled by the organization. After carefully consideration, the transaction will be forwarded to the appropriate party. (To be determined by the organization. This may take several hours or days.) Any transaction that is sent without the authority of the organization will be deemed tainted and miners will be required to ignore such transactions. The organization will obviously need funding and will be funded directly from every block reward at a rate of 5%. I hereby nominate Bitcointalk user Rarity to head this organization as this user seems to know what is best for everyone. Please act in haste, most people are incapable of thinking for themselves.[/sarcasm]
Thank you for that excellent example of sustained sarcasm. Are you by chance a fan of Jonathon Swift? I highly recommend "A modest proposal".

You people do realize that by arguing here you are just bumping his thread and increasing the chances of someone eventually buying it?
If the only people who posted on this thread were people interested in buying it then it would have fallen into the archives by now, but you folks keep it front and center for every new reader to find.
You behavior belies your motives.

SOLDI have 5 Canadian Mint sets still in their original plastic. Each one contains 1 silver dollar, 1 silver half dollar, 1 silver quarter and 1 silver dime. They also contain 1 copper penny and 1 nickel nickel. The silver content adds up to 1.1 troy oz of silver for each set. I am charging 3.1BTC per set, this is based on the scrap value of the silver based on current bitcoin and silver prices. The penny and nickel are included at no extra charge! Shipping will be .5BTC. Buy 1 set or all of them, the shipping price is the same. If you have any questions or offers please contact me here or through a private message.

As metal prices go up fakes get more and more advanced. If the coin was filled it would have the exact same luster and not be worth nearly as much. Even 1oz silver rounds are starting to be faked now.
I agree about outer apearances. But no fake gold coin will pass a set of calipers and scales. In theory tungsten could be used as a filler but so far there have been zero credible reports of anything as small as a 1oz coin being filled with tungsten mostly due to how hard it is to work the stuff. With large bars, like 100oz and up tungsten is a concern. People are using ultrasound to see if the bars are consistent throughout. Silver 1oz have been faked and faked very well for a long time. Unlike gold they can get the density just right by the right mix of base metals.

France is doing a great job producing over 80% of their power with nuclear and they are doing great.
Just goes to show how much damage you can cause mixing good intentions with ignorance. They are doing fine with archaic nuclear technology. Imagine what they could do with a "modern" (developed in the 1970s) reactor design like LFTR. This is true. Nuclear power's benefit of causing less death and releasing less radiation than coal per watt is only going to improve as the newer generation of plants replace the old ones.

Were you able to get your cash back through PayPal?
No. PayPal are facilitators of fraud. . 13 years business with the company but I am done (for more reasons than this singular incident). If you had not called it a gift you would be able to just say you never got it. Do a chargeback on your credit card, paypal will not be able to stop you. What if the funds came from a PayPal balance though? Then the only way to get your money back is to lie to paypal saying that someone else used your account. I don't recommend doing this more than once.

#1 If you are getting gold that cheap its because its stolen
Even theives don't discount gold much, they know that once they melt it that it is no longer stolen.

This is what must ultimately happen.
Bitcoin will not be the last currency of its type, it is just the first.

Wonder if its true but only an idiot thinks they can hide behind a PC.
Only an idiot would fail at being anonymous on the internet. The damn fool must have send a previously used address or tied the address to his wallet somehow. He should have sent the money to instawallet, then to a poker site, then to another online wallet, then to bitcoinfog.

You can put words in front of someone, but you cannot make them read it.
It would be simpler to create a new account than go through this re-education.

Thanks for the math, that may come in handy for a project I am working on.

I consider myself an environmentalist and I do not like GreenPeace. They have managed to block/slow down and even work to close nuclear plants all over the world. In exchange we get more coal plants. Nice going GreenPleace.
This. Most people don't know that coal mining/burning releases far more radiation per watt of power into the air than nuclear power does. A little thing called radon gas getting released from the coal. Coal mining also kills more people per watt of power than nuclear power does. This is taking into account all of the accidents too which are reducing in number and severity with newer reactors. France is doing a great job producing over 80% of their power with nuclear and they are doing great. Just goes to show how much damage you can cause mixing good intentions with ignorance.

Funky tool. I love how high level languages and APIs make these sorts of tools very simple to construct.

Even if a program does not support tor/socks you can still configure tor to serve an electrum server from a local IP. If electrum did not support socks(and I think it does) you could add this to your config: MapAddress someelectrumserver.org 127.0.0.42 Then after restarting tor you could tell your electrum client that the server is as 127.0.0.42.

Iran recently attempted to block tor. They modified it to allow transport layer tunnel plugins that allow you to obfuscate tor as skype, https, etc...
Add to that a secret bridge into the tor network and Iran was back online in no time.
We are winning the cryptowars.
