261  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Will Seed Torrents for BTC -1Gbps Upstream - 0.1BTC/10GB on: November 05, 2012, 09:31:26 PM
This is a great idea. What about torrents with low traffic, if it takes 2 months to use the 10gb is it still be the same price?

I like this idea, has it been automated?

I would like to post here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=121519.0

I want to talk about how a 2nd factor authentication token can be used to create a deterministic wallet.

I have pizza for bitcoins. I have 3 slices left in my fridge, but you will have to come pick them up.

Sorry, I have now eaten them all.

It seems fairly arbitrary. I think it may only get updated when you post? Not sure if just browsing is enough.
265  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do people assign value to Bitcoins? on: November 04, 2012, 07:00:04 PM
Fiat currencies that can be produced in any amount will always go to their intrinsic value, zero. The US Dollar is going to be worth about as much as the Zimbabwe Dollar(look it up, fascination story).
266  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What Are The Best Ways To Launder/Mix/Clean/Anonymize Your Bitcoins? on: November 04, 2012, 06:34:14 PM
You can pay for a proper mixing service like blockchain or torfog but then it is obvious that your money is going into and out of a mixing service.

I recommend finding a site with a large userbase that uses a common wallet. Poker sites like Seals With Clubs and wallet services like instawallet will almost always give you back different coins than you put in.

I would recommend: your wallet -> site with shared wallet -> mixing service -> site with shared wallet -> your new wallet.

Don't put more than a little into any of these services at any given time.
267  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: help me choose a good wallet for windows on: November 04, 2012, 06:29:35 PM
I like electrum.

Running windows will never be properly secure. While it is true that any OS can get a virus or a trojan the reality is the 99.9% of hostile computer infections are on windows machines.

At the very least be sure to encrypt your wallet with a password. Consider a virtual keyboard for entering this password as keylogging in windows is easy.

I can't pay taxes with it. I can't fund my credit card with it. Why do people value Bitcoins at $11 a piece?

Silk Road.
269  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin = cash or commodity on: November 04, 2012, 05:21:29 PM
The idea of cash not being a commodity is a new one. Fiat currency is a failing experiement.

The artificial conceptual divide between commodity and money is nothing but a scam to allow for fractional reserve lending and unlimited money production.

Bitcoin is cash and it is a commodity. Any money that is not a commodity is just a promise on a bit of paper.

Hello. I am Jared am I am currently investing in bitcoins. I have most of my investment in physical commodities such as silver and gold, I also collect antiques.

I have very little faith in the dollar and only every have enough for day to day living. The rest I put in anything I consider inflation proof.
