1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see any value in move to earn crypto projects? on: September 26, 2023, 11:33:37 PM
There are some move to earn projects like stepn, stepapp etc . Do you see any value in them or it is just a death spiral?
I heard a project called stepapp many days back. I haven't heard about such a project for a long time. I have never found these projects attractive to invest in. Because these projects have hype for a few days and then cannot be found anymore.
A project that was started with hype can't be expected to stay long in the market but rather expect to vanish in a short while. Just like Play to Earn before, after a few months of hype, they're gone and many players wasted their time and effort. It is a lesson to ponder and can't erase the fact that only those project that has good fundamentals and use case will stay long.
Well, we can play the hype but must be careful and never think about holding. But if we think about safety assurance, better choose to trusted projects rather than choosing this move to earn.
2  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING] Crypto casino scam on teh move again. on: September 26, 2023, 09:42:01 AM
Let's not beat around the bush.... if you doing that, then you should be scammed... no matter if you are thinking that you are stealing from a casino.  Tongue

The 30% commission you will give is already a big sign that it's a scam. It's okay if it's their money that will be used, but if it's yours, how can you be assured that their tricks will work? If not, then you could lose everything. Since the site they are referring to is probably owned within their circle, it will be easy for them to manipulate it. They might give you a chance to win and withdraw your funds, but the moment you decide to gamble a significant amount of money, that's when they'll trigger the scam.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 26, 2023, 09:10:45 AM

Yeah, just one spark may lead to Klay and Booker being in the hot zone again where they will talk trash. When that happens I want to see how Chris Paul will react. Will he choose sides or will he just be silent and stay between them and separate them? So it's a game that I won't miss since they will only meet 4 times this season.

We only see a few of those kinds of altercations in the NBA, and that adds to the excitement of the game, actually. Klay vs. Booker, there's no way I will side with Booker, even though he is the better player. Basketball is a team game, not an individual one. Booker may boast about his stats, but Klay will just remind him of his 4 rings. I think Booker needs to win a championship first.

If not for CP3, the Suns wouldn't be a playoff team, that's a fact.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 25, 2023, 01:11:18 PM
I think casino games are 100% dependent on luck. But betting on sports organizations is based on analysis of current data. Therefore, betting on sports organizations is based on knowledge rather than luck. I bet on sports organizations because I don't trust my luck too much. However, I can't say that I always win. Because I always feel that I need a little bit of luck. Sometimes I get lucky and win, sometimes I get unlucky and lose, but I find it more consistent to bet on sporting events.

We should be realistic. When there's a house edge, no one can win consistently using their skills, or at least they will lose in the long run. That's why games are divided into luck-based and skill-based categories. If your game belongs to the luck-based type, it's pretty obvious that you can only win when you are lucky.

The question is, will you risk gambling if that's your only chance? You know, casinos or the house do not rely on luck; they rely on their advantage.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you feel when you look at your first Bitcoin wallet? on: September 25, 2023, 11:47:09 AM
Well, upon looking at my wallet, I can't really imagine the total amount deposited in it and I was thinking if I'd never spent them every time I received payment, that was huge. But I also think that Bitcoin is not meant for just holding instead, it should be circulated and available in the market. However, despite what happened as I emptied my wallet most of the time, I was also happy that I'm one of thousands or millions of people who benefit from Bitcoin.
(Maybe) I was not really good at holding but I spend my Bitcoin for some reason as well.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: chart reading and prediction on: September 24, 2023, 01:07:03 PM
everyone on twitter, insta reel and youtube is making prediction related to different cryptos based on chart lines. Do you still believe these chart reading?
Charts show what is happening on the market but people may have different opinions and predictions because that will be based on their interpretation of the market trend. Of course, the chart but not fully to the person who interprets, I'd rather make my own than others. But also, we can't assure that we are right because predictions often go wrong due to the unpredictable nature of the market, so we never have to expect to be right.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Earn an apartment in a bear market on: September 24, 2023, 05:05:01 AM
BTC, ETH and XRP seem to be enough, too many coin choices will indeed be confusing. But let's look at the potential of each top altcoin, it will provide double profits if in the bull run season all altcoins rise. You just need to choose which one is the best and use it as your main investment. Be wise in choosing altcoins and make sure you don't put all your eggs in one basket, there are many baskets to choose from to maximize long-term investment.
Yes I agree with you. Diversification is great but diversifying too much will not bring you any benefit. If one coin goes down in price and several other coins go up, of course that's not a good thing either. You won't really make a profit by diversifying a lot.
Just have your portfolio in 3 or 4 altcoins like CRO, XRP, MATIC and Vechain. It is my asset and I think it is the best altcoin in my opinion.
Regardless of what coins we choose, we can only make a profit if we are also patient enough to wait for the price will rise. Because the truth is that we can' expect to earn a profit right after buying them, the price won't always go up high, it dumps as well that is we have to learn to hold. What we always do is we assume that the market will give us a favor, but it is not and losses are very possible for impatient people.
If we are a trader, profit is still possible during the bear season but if we are just purely as an investor, that is unlikely possible.
8  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why gambling beginners must not joke with casino announcement on: September 22, 2023, 02:55:01 PM
A quick warning to all gambling beginners, the most attractive ways that scam gambling websites get to you is bonuses and undeniable offers, I can see some new online casinos coming up with attracting bonuses to make you deposit some money and gamble, while they still have no reputation build yet but the offers are too good to the eye that you want to try it out, be cautious.

I don't like new casinos but I can use them to get the bonus they're offering but I won't stay with them for very long because they don't have a reputation yet. Most new casino are scam casino because they get alot of users and they didn't prepare for that type of users so their casino starts malfunctioning and before they can resolve the matter alot of individual has started calling them scammers.

After losing alot of reputation, they'll have to give up on the casino and scam their users. When a casino is offering bonuses and they're new and also been confirm to be fair, we can take advantage of the bonuses to get more profits but we have to be more cautious with them.
I agree the new casinos are mostly scams when new to crypto casino they don't review the sites properly and also tempt gamblers with huge bonuses and get away with everything. The gambling site offers very generous offers for newbies in the form of a 100% bonus or an increase of up to $150. Almost every player will be able to take advantage of such an offer but these are just traps to cheat them. Good casinos lose their reputation because of these bad sites. This is why you should stay away from new sites and review the sites thoroughly to be able to participate in all the gambling activities available at an online casino.
Often new gamblers get fooled by these bonuses and I see it was a working strategy from these scammers. Because what is in the mind of the gamblers is that they could make use of it in gambling. Well, indeed they can but the exchange is much regretting. We can say that deep research is more important than these attractive bonuses because legit casino sites never use this strategy to attract gamblers but instead, they use their reputation and legitimacy to gain attraction and trust.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Should newbies invest with small capital in BTC on: September 22, 2023, 02:31:23 PM
Well, talking about capital. All the money that you have invested is considered capital, never be confused about it.

Anyways,
Newbies usually commit mistakes during their early days, so it was not advisable to spend much. Why? Because bigger chances that you will only lose them. There is a saying that "Invest only the money that you can afford to lose". So if ever that happens, it will not be difficult for you to accept. Because the first thing you think when start to invest in Bitcoin is to learn more about it, not to make a profit.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never gamble in front of your kids. on: September 22, 2023, 12:55:08 PM
I'm sharing this because I saw this issue with my kiddo who was once watching me gamble at a website playing blackjack and she started asking me more about the game. Then one day, she wanted to play it herself and asked me if she can go for it and I said "no, it's not your legal age to go for such games". So, it's better to keep our kiddos away from gambling and let them focus on their studies, else it'd actually ruin everything for the whole family if the kid takes the wrong path.

Right now you forbid gambling because of age and support the idea of not gambling in front of kids. But what would be your attitude, if you win a millions? I think you wont hide your happiness, you would shout "YES!" like crazy or something like that, you would change your lifestyle after that. How you gonna explain it your kid? My point is - when we just gamble or lose, than gambling is not for kid, it is illegal, not for your age and etc. But when we win a lot, then "you've said you always wanted alive pink unicorn with giraffe and dinosaurs? here you are, we are rich now, enjoy life, forget about studies".
But the point is that we can still gamble provided that our kids never see us. Because the moment they see us gambling, they will also gain curiosity and then ask about it. What we did was just to keep our kids away from getting interested in gambling because of what they saw. Of course, we can't hide this forever but we can explain them well when they are capable enough to understand gambling. As long as we still have the chance not to expose gambling to our kids, the better.
11  Economy / Economics / Re: Free Investment tips on: September 22, 2023, 12:33:42 PM
"Financial Literacy"
This caught me up realizing how hard to keep your finances firm without financial literacy. Many people have no investment despite the fact that they have a good/stable job and a high salary because of a lack of financial education. I really don't know but it was a very usual thing to happen in the community that many of us never think about the future. That is why we can see that a lot of people choose to become a worker rather than making themselves as a business owner.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Secure Your Legacy, Educate Your Loved Ones on: September 22, 2023, 11:04:33 AM
Usually, people make the mistake of hiding their Bitcoin investments from their loved ones. And what happens to that person as mentioned by OP gives us a hint as to what will happen if nobody knows our doing as death can't be predicted as well, especially when you are involved in an accident. We have to anticipate that situation, we need to let someone or any of our family members know everything about crypto.
We don't need to hide from them in the first place because what we did is also in preparation for their future and sooner, they'll be the ones to continue this unless they decide to stop.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 22, 2023, 07:57:37 AM
There's no problem with vacating the belts for Inoue. The ultimate goal is to win them all to add to his achievements and then fight some challengers before moving up. I'm sure Inoue still has the power and speed to dominate, so moving up at the right time could be one of his priorities once he holds all the belts. Of course, he needs to beat Tapales, who is obviously not as hyped as people are underestimating him.

Inoue does not intend to stay in the bantamweight division for long. So, if he wins this fight, he might just consider a few title defenses. I think one year is already enough to accommodate at least two challengers before he moves up. In fact, I still believe that once he moves up, he will remain the most feared opponent. Great job to Inoue for taking things slowly but consistently. He knows how to make his future plans work, and there's nothing to worry about.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: September 22, 2023, 07:16:42 AM
Did you just guys see another Ahanmisi 2.0? Like what he has asked his former team to have 900k-950k pesos of salary for his contract? The recent guy who did that was Jeron Teng. He's also asking for a high salary from Fiberxers but he's declined. Do you think that a better team will take him?
The salary we are talking about here is monthly? That could be huge because, as far as I know, it was only JMF who received a huge salary like that in the past. So, to demand that kind of salary, they must be really good. I think it's possible if they play overseas, but in the PBA, I think that's too much to ask for a player who hasn't proven anything yet.

He doesn't prove anything yet and asking that price is to much for those team that's why now his old team let him go wherever he want since for sure they are also doubting about their future if they let Teng got what he wish from his team. And also Fajardo deserves that salary since he bring championship to SMB then also he take home a lot of achievements so for sure no people will question him on why he get a lot of money from SMB.

Teng isn't as good as Fajardo; his style of basketball is still predictable, and there are probably many potential stars who could generate the kind of production he has, and perhaps even better. These days, some players are demanding too much, possibly comparing their salaries to what their friends playing overseas are making. However, you know, we are in the Philippines, and a PBA player can only earn a substantial salary if they are an import or a star like JMF.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good fundamentals don't ensure a great investment. on: September 21, 2023, 10:32:15 PM
Having a good fundamental is a big asset to the project for the investors think that it will become successful and encourage them to invest. However, this won't give us 100% assurance but at least the chances are pretty high compared to the projects. While choosing a project to invest in, we also bear a lot of considerations and project analysis. As we decided to invest in that project, it meant that we trusted the team and the fundamentals of the project. If we think they can't perform well, then we also have the right to decline.
16  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I'm ready to learn crypto on: September 21, 2023, 09:45:05 PM
Well, I can understand how these newbies feel and think about during the bear market. In fact, even old timers also feel negativity which I think is very common as we sometimes let our emotions control us. I could say it was a very challenging part of crypto to learn and adapt to the unpredictable trends of the market. Most of us think that every day the price of crypto will rise, we think that after we buy coins we can generate profit right away. That is why I encourage newbies to understand the volatility of the market because that is the only way it give peace to their minds and to stay in crypto.
17  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 21, 2023, 02:32:24 PM
Just like what Top Rank's did to Manny and now to Inoue. They have the blue print to make a good fighters to be great and legendary by careful match making. But just imagine if Manny doesn't have the power or the charisma he had in the ring, he wouldn't be that great though.

Inoue was already popular before he joined Top Rank. If I remember correctly, he only joined after he beat Donaire in their first fight. I thought that when he joined Top Rank, he would have more fights outside his country, but he still chose to fight in Japan rather than in the USA. I'm not sure if Inoue is making more money fighting in Japan or in the USA. How can Top Rank maximize the potential income?

Yes, this was in 2019 when Inoue won the tournament by beating Donaire in the final round.
For more information about that, you can check out this link: World Boxing News - Naoya Inoue

Inoue idolizes Pacman, maybe that's the reason why he also chose Bob Arum to be his promoter because he believes it can help elevate his career. We are already seeing it now; he is fighting to become an undisputed champion, and maybe after this, he will be moving up, probably next year.
18  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 21, 2023, 01:57:59 PM
Or it could be that Ancajas might be the slight betting favorite as well? It's possible though as he used to be a great champion at 115 lbs. And as you show in the comparison, Ancajas the the experienced here as compare to Inoue who almost just half of the fights that Ancajas has throughout his career.
I think that's a big disrespect for Takumi because he is the current champion and will be fighting in front of his fans. He has all the advantages, and the only way for Ancajas to win here is to ensure he knocks out the champion. I'm afraid that if the fight is close, the judges will give the win to the defending champion.

So for sure we will have to take that into considerations when we put our bet here. And if Jerwin become underdog, then it's going to be a good betting for us. If he becomes a betting favorite but slight only, then still very attractive even at ML.

He should be the underdog. I would bet against anyone who thinks he could be the favorite on the betting sites. Just shoot me a PM.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will there be a boom again? on: September 21, 2023, 12:07:02 PM
If you mean the "boom" is another ATH, then make faith in it as it certainly comes someday.
But don't think about it always as it affects your mindset and patience, some people get bored waiting and lose their faith, then miss the ATH again. We don't have to do that as our experience helps us to realize our wrongdoings in the past that we need to correct now. If we have faith in crypto and believe there is another BOOM, therefore, we must show courage and patience as well otherwise, we're not changing our style and behavior.
20  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin holder are not maximizing the bitcoin potential on: September 21, 2023, 05:47:45 AM
Yes, I agree with you. The best returns, in my opinion, are stable returns. And stability in the market cannot be achieved without the ability not to lose your deposit and already earned funds. Therefore, knowing when to exit a position at the right time, and doing so when you are confident the time is right, is paramount to successful trading.
such abilities were not possessed by greedy traders. traders may be able to master many trading skills. However, without sufficient experience so that traders can have good control over every trading plan they make, many traders will be trapped in greed.

I'm sure most traders have experienced this, the momentum to exit a trade because they have made a profit but see the possibility that the price could rise again so they are forced to continue trading in the hope of making more profits. Maybe you will get more profits, but more people will get stuck when everything in their activities does not go as expected.
I don't have data about the number of traders who quit but I believe that more people quit rather than pursue their trading career. One reason is that they find it hard to deal with their emotions. Of course, we can see profit in trading but the question is if it is really the thing that happens to us when we try it or if we just lose our money. That is why I can't blame people for just holding as they believe this is the safest thing to do rather than risking their money into trading. Trading is a choice...
