Also, some pics from the conference and the yacht party they hosted!

Is the team for both BQT and IOU projects the same? Because the pics you have posted are the one's from the team of BQT as it seems.

Nice find, a blog post and further investigation is in the works.

Yacht party ICO's .... kinda glad I got rejected, but kinda figured as much with my reputation for lolling at scammorz.
Wait, you have a reputation for "lolling at scammorz"?  Roll Eyes

This got me thinking. So, you applied for this campaign without checking first the details of whether you'll be advertising a legit company or not? And then you'll gonna say "kinda glad that I got rejected". Just admit that you are somehow disappointed because you got rejected and now you're spreading senseless comments as a form of retaliation because you got denied.  Roll Eyes

Not at all. My purpose in joining sig campaigns at this time is to see what is legit and what isn't.

Don't hurt yourself too hard thinking there, bub.

104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XJO] Joulecoin | SHA256 | First SHA256 data coin | Major upgrade 0.10.4.2 on: September 01, 2018, 08:22:54 PM
Greeting XJO lovers, I have taken an interest in this project thanks to IMZ, was having a bit of trouble building the joulecoin wallet so I created a fork on github and applied the following small fixes:

https://github.com/Shinoa-Fores/joulecoin/commit/c2983f8d6a74fca82a7581dd34275e869d17a94c

https://github.com/Shinoa-Fores/joulecoin/commit/84d7651604b4c2752722f4628af26571327f35cb  #only necessary for linux users using hardened+nomultilib kernels, but compiler warnings can safely be ignored.

These allowed me to build a wallet from source using gcc version 7.3.0 on Gentoo linux. It complains during the `./configure` step because I use LibreSSL, but will still compile using the `--with-libressl` flag, though this is also a simple enough fix, and I may publish the changes to github if anyone requests.

All in all a nice altcoin. I look forward to experimenting with it more with IMZ.  Cool

Just noticed that my mirror for 42 paper wallets is listed in the [ANN] .... thanks lasergun and IMZ. Just doing a little research into the coin today.  Cool

Anyone else have their wallet crashing daily? Not sure why but the last 4-5 week have been really bad. Same thing happening with your sister coin PR. Sometimes 2-3 crashes a day.

Hi Crackfoo,
I'm passing this on to the Devs' Telegram group.
Is there a log you can send?

BTW, there's an active UNO Telegram, https://t.me/unobtaniumuno

The guys n the Unobtanium telegram dev group have been hard at work for past couple of weeks. New binaries are available for testing at http://www.flurbo.xyz/Unobtanium/#downloads

If anyone needs assistance with source building, help is always available - leave a message here or on Telegram.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Decentralised-Liquidity Exchange -- 'D-L-Ex' on: June 23, 2018, 02:00:27 PM
I'm surprisingly unconcerned about Uno's present price. Sabretooth and I were talking about the alts-to-total-$ cap falling from 12% (fairly low) to perhaps just half of that. That would mean insane drops in altcoin prices across the board, but be a fabulous time to buy in: altcoin-to-total has been to around 24%, and I reckon it will ultimately rise above that

Hello, hoas. Wow, just a coincidence I dropped in here. The D L Ex is on Telegram, but you can always contact me here with a PM.

Wow! How creepy is this: Noo Me is quoting my 'IMZ' account, which just blew up. Gonna take a long time to sort this out. (Will post some emoo pictures, as 'ID'!)

No, for that use the Unobtanium Bluechist wallet.

http://unobtanium.uno/download/Unobtanium-Bluechist.zip

Are we dealing with Pre-merge mining fork wallets here, like 2015 and earlier?

yeah - my wallet.dat backup is from an old (maybe the first!) Uno QT wallet?  I was hoping I could download the v0.10 QT wallets on the website and import my .dat file into that.  But even with those added nodes it is not connecting.  Even if I get a connection not sure my old .dat is compatible.  Is an old .dat compatible with bluechist?   Why don't any of these wallets have the current nodes?  Users should not have to manually be changing/adding them.

Depending on your ISP and/or OS you may have firewall issues preventing you from talking to the wider network. Check to ensure uPnP is enabled on your router if you are unsure.

Wallet finds peers on it's own if connected long enough. Check this using `getpeerinfo` in console.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO - DICUSSION THREAD on: April 13, 2018, 11:23:48 PM
Hey, whats new here lol

Hey bud, how are you doing?

Found jiggytom, and evidently a LBRY thread finally. Had sifted through a few that were pretty much ded threads.

It's an unofficial thread. LBRY wants to open an official one in the coming weeks. It will be moderated - we'll try to keep comments specific to the LBRY app/protocol and general/technical help. The typical market/hype talk on here really doesn't do anyone a favor.

An official thread would be perfect, and yes the moderation would be excellent to separate the wheat from the chaff.

I noticed the Electrum wallets on the unobtanium.uno website have not been updated from Version 2.6.2 and are vulnerable to this.

The compiled Windows wallet for Electrum UNO that is on Unobtanium.uno is earlier than the affected code. But, if you compiled from the git, then you have a release that is vulnerable.

A developer in the Unobtanium discussion on Telegram has taken up the challenge and is about 80% done. After that we will need to update several Uno Electrum servers.
It would be wonderful to have UNO Electrum updated by end of month.

Join us on Telegram for live updates, https://t.me/unobtaniumuno

I'm sorry to have to disagree with you on this one, but both the Linux and Windows versions on the website return version 2.6.2 from the console. Just downloaded the installer from Unobtanium.uno and get the following:

It is good you have someone working on the updates. In the meantime, keep those wallets password protected and don't use them when you have an open web browser just to be safe.

The website seems to be very slow which causes the images to load not at all or really slowly.

I cannot even get the site to load at all anymore + greasemonkey is useless on latest Firefox.
Tampermonkey works fine on Firefox. Upgraded just a bit before the new version came out and had no issues since then. Haven't tested this script in particular on TM though.

I have had zero luck with it on Firefox Quantum. Looks like tampermonkey will require an entire rewrite https://www.ghacks.net/2017/09/21/greasemonkey-4-firefox-57-compatibility/

Not a big fan of most "upgrades" but this one has been impressive so far. Hate to lose ability to use bitcointalk++ though, had a nice old-school vibe to it. For now Cyrus' dark CSS at least tones down the brightness.
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you're mixing up Greasemonkey (the AFAIK original userscript manager plugin) with Tampermonkey (a relatively new and IMO better plugin, written based on the WebExtension standard which sidesteps any incompatibilities a massive browser upgrade might bring).

AFAIK it uses the same GM_* API (with a few extra functions) so any Gresemonkey specific functions that BT++ uses (looking at the source, it seems to only use GM_xmlhttpRequest) should work on TM.

Indeed I was confusing the two! I appreciate your recommendation and assistance, works fine again. I had formerly only used it with Greasemonkey so had no idea. Tampermonkey does indeed appear to be superior! Smiley

I would be very grateful for advice. I downloaded the official wallet from the UNO website.
It gave me a receive address.
So I sent a few UNO from cryptopia to this wallet address.
Unfortunately the wallet always says Not Connected, Disconnected from server.

could anyone advice a newb how to connect this wallet to the server?
Thanks a lot!

Could you possibly be more specific, such as providing the Operating System and version you are using?

Thanks! The wallet says Unobtanium Electrum 2.6.2 default wallet. I'm on a Macbook Air 10.11.6.
When I click on the red ball bottom right of the wallet, it says Proxy NONE Local Host 9050
I'm not at at all technical, I dont know if I am supposed to do anything to that setting. (Drop down menu offers PROXY 4 options
NONE, SOCKS 4 SOCKS 5 HTTP)
Any advice gratefully received.

I think the Electrum servers have been changed, your settings should look similar to this:

If you need help adding servers, feel free to ask here in the thread or join the Unobtanium telegram group, someone will surely be happy to help. Smiley

120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNO] Unobtanium Info & Discussion - Update to 0.10 Wallet - Merge Mine w/BTC! on: November 09, 2017, 08:33:35 PM

I read the new commits last night, and have successfully built binaries for both Linux and Windows. And of you windows folks need prebuilt wallets (and cli tools) can PM me for the link. If you are a user of Windows 10 and have the Windows Subsystem For Linux, I have a bash script available that auto-builds both the Windows + Linux dependencies and wallets in one go. Wink

The build at first due to a dead link for d/l of the qt binaries. The fallback url at bitcoincore.org also seems not to be working. The simple fix:

In `depends/packages/qt.mk` change line 3 to the following:

Code:
$(package)_download_path=https://download.qt.io/archive/qt/5.2/$($(package)_version)/single/

Feel free to contact me here or in the Unobtanium telegram group if you have questions or need help.
