681  Economy / Gambling / Re: How does AI gambling sound? on: April 18, 2023, 09:58:12 PM

I can't see how you can decide which horse to bet on. Are you able to see the features of these competing AI horses?
It could be rigged all the time much like the phony race of Yobit. You can't complain about what is unfair to this kind of game. That's how it sounds and the house typically could just program which will win, all you can do is wait for the pattern and when it is your turn to win.

It's in meta though so are we the ones riding as the jockey?
If we will spend money to bet, then at least we should go where there are higher chances of winning than to spend in betting where the result of the game is already programmed since the horses involved are not real but only imaginary. That’s the reality with AI gambling, that’s why I don’t see it more attractive to gamble as I’m used to bet in physical casinos where everything is visible and games are real and not imaginary.
682  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't invest money you can't afford to lose out of greed. on: April 18, 2023, 09:21:40 PM
Newbies don't care to know about what they are investing in, most of them have little or no idea about bitcoin, they just hear people talking about bitcoin and they also want to invest, before investing in bitcoin, make sure you are having basic knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general, don't just invest in what you don't know about. In Cryptocurrency also invest little amount you can afford to lose, don't sell your properties or take loan because you want to invest. Also always avoid altcoins, we all saw different altcoins that crashed last year and am sure more are still going to crash, altcoin investment is just like gambling, you will either win or lose.
That’s how greedy most newbies today. They enter the market without even making thorough research on the project they want to invest, as long as they hear it has lot of potentials to become profitable, then they instantly invest in them with huge funds hoping to reap huge profits too. And when they lose and see their coins crashing, then they realized that they should be more cautious when investing and definitely be knowledgeable at first before they will reinvest. If only newbies will not be greedy in the first place, I guess losses will be somehow avoided and maybe if they prioritize bitcoin over altcoins, they will eventually gain profits than seeing their funds being used up from altcoins investment.
683  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are hidden signs to look for when you're dealing with a Fraudster / Scammer on: April 18, 2023, 08:51:33 PM
what are the red flags and tell tale signs that the person you are dealing with is a scammer/fraudster.

It's about common sense... if the deal looks too good to be real then it's a fraud. That's how the internet works nowadays. Don't trust anyone, even in people that you trust in the real life because it can be an identity fraud. Anyone can be other people online. So, we need to forget about the trust factor online, and that's the only way to avoid getting scammed.

If someone asks you for money online you can be sure that's a 95% scam. And the smart way to avoid it is to block that contact, that's our only option.
Scammers are making things easier for us with their very appealing offers, and once we bite that, we will definitely fall on their traps. That is why we should never be too trusting especially people we met online, as online scamming has become rampant these days. And never fail to DYOR, that will give us an advantage to become smarter than scammers so we won’t fall easily as their victims.
684  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 18, 2023, 01:43:20 PM
I believe that providing them with education is the best thing you can do to help them avoid falling victim to these con artists that use cryptocurrencies as the foundation for their Ponzi schemes. Regarding persuading, you are correct that it is not a good idea to do so because the market's volatility could cause the person to lose his temper and place the entire blame on you. The best thing you can do is to tell him everything and to make sure he understands how unpredictable the cryptocurrency market is. You also need to clear your name of any guilt by distancing yourself from any decisions he might make after you've given him the knowledge he needs.

Yeah, I think simply pointing out the basics of Bitcoin and pointers to where to get more information, like the whitepaper, etc, is enough.

I don't think anything else is needed. When people keep pushing something it feels like a scam, altcoin.
Right, no need to convince either. A person who starts to see the worth and usefulness of bitcoin will eventually decide to invest without hesitation, no need for someone to teach him on how to decide. However, for those who are always skeptical to bitcoin, just leave them the way they are. Once you’re done telling them the basics of bitcoin and how it can be useful for us, then observe their reactions. If they start to invest, then good for them, if they won’t, then never convince them at all. Bitcoin investment should be done voluntarily, and not that they will think that they are obliged to invest in it.
685  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you still advised more buy and store? on: April 18, 2023, 01:12:45 PM
Yes whenever possible, buy as many coins as you can. As these Bitcoins are very rare. They are limited in numbers and hence more you buy and accumulate it, more is that chance that you will get immense profits. As the demand for the coin is increasing and the coins are limited, so yes after some specific year, the demand will be so high that the price will go up in order to meet the demand. At that time if you have good amount of Bitcoins in your wallet, then no one can stop you from becoming a millionaire. So yes the strategy of buying the coins each month is really good and looks promising.
Bitcoin is always promising as it is. The more you reserve funds for bitcoin so you can buy and hold, the higher the chances you’ll reap huge amount of profits. However, with your current situation, you can actually save even a little amount after every payday, and then buy a portion of bitcoin whenever you can. Don’t be skeptical when it comes to bitcoin, just do your best so you can provide the needs of your family and also to sustain your bitcoin investment. No matter how small it is at first, once they are compounded, that will form a huge amount of bitcoin in the end. So never doubt what bitcoin can do for you in the future.
686  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do I become productive in this forum? on: April 17, 2023, 10:58:14 PM
If you want to become productive in this forum then why not make yourself competitive to others. I am sure you will ask how to become a competitive person and to become one then you should become a knowledgeable person so that you can defend your post. You should also learn how to post constructively and then you'll see what I meant about being constructive person. One more important thing, never use AI to make your own post like ChatGPT.
At least, if you see yourself being competitive too, then you can also become a significant poster like other forum members. So you have to be more knowledgeable and well experienced too so you can achieve being one of them. Though I believe there is no competition in the forum, but if you stay on top of others when it comes to knowledge and experience, then you’ll be more productive and useful in the forum.
687  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter plans to offer buying and selling of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on: April 16, 2023, 10:45:33 PM
All the social media in the internet, Twitter is the one I don't like. It suspend account without any course, I am really tired of using Twitter. Twitter can not buy and sell bitcoin because the way they are suspending users account without offend is worrisome. But if they can fixed that and adopt bitcoin in their exchange rate then it will be okay for that.
Well traders will definitely face some troubles if that is the case. However, based on the news I have read, Twitter has announced its partnership with eToro crypto exchange and not that Twitter will directly accept buy and sell for crypto. So the headline that was shared by OP is clearly a fake news. Here’s the legit news, https://www.forbes.com/advisor/investing/twitter-stock-crypto-trading/#:~:text=Twitter%20has%20announced%20a%20partnership,on%20the%20social%20network's%20platform.
688  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 14, 2023, 03:43:33 PM
We never know what will be the outcome we are all expecting from how we speculate the possible outcome.
But it's easy to predict the winner of this fight because the opponent of Casimero is not on his level if we base it on the books.

This would just be a tune-up fight for him, not a big threat that could ruin his career. I'm sure Casimero will not allow that as he will continue to train and make a headline with an impressive win.

People need to view him as a top-level fighter, so eventually, he will get a championship fight in this new division.

I bet he will, maybe next year because there's no hurdle or a stumbling block on his career now like what he have in his previous weight class where almost every fights are not yet sure to push through because his own body is the main problem as it is limiting him to make more fights.

Against this unknown fighter, I got no doubts that he will have a hard time but I sure do hope that he will have an interesting fight as a preparation before he faces the champion of this division. Nevertheless, John Riel Casimero will dominate this fight.

would be interesting if in case casimero will lose this fight. don't know how he will face his fans if he lose to unfamiliar name in boxing. the record actually of his opponent is not bad. so they should not take that for granted. as his opponent has very good reason to beat him, they will for sure do a rigid training. so let's talk after this bout is finished. if casimero wins, good. but if not, maybe time to change his career.

If we're talking about local fights, then that record is indeed not bad at all but we are not talking about the international ring where big boys are fighting for their name and glory. Not to underestimate this unknown boxer but it's best for him to prove what he got first because people aren't really interested with boxers with a records like that.

Now if Casimero will lose this one, there's no need for him to continue his career anymore as I think it's already safe to assume that he can't get big fights because he just lost this bout. Just in-case though.
689  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 14, 2023, 04:40:53 AM
I just read a report that Andrew Wiggins is expected to play in game 1 of the Kings vs Warriors matchup. This has got to be great news for Warriors fans. Wiggins is a big reason behind their last playoff run as he became a defensive specialist in the playoffs. Things are seemingly coming together at the right time for the Warriors. I hope Wiggins kept in shape during his absence.
Yes and his presence will be a great help for the team, not just to increase their chances but to boost the team's morale as well because his return will give them confidence to have a good run in almost every game that will have in the next few weeks. Although as per reports, coach Kerr will just give him limited minutes for now as he will be coming off from the bench as he haven't played since early February and hopefully soon, he will be back as a part of the Warriors first five.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terrence Crawford vs Errol Spence - June 17 on: April 13, 2023, 07:24:15 PM

However, in this fight, I'm more confident on the ability of Crawford to win the match. Not that I'm underestimating Spencer, but Crawford has more experience and has proven himself numerous times already looking at his records and he has the aura that isn't giving up no matter what happens. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see. After all, the bout is just almost two months away from now.

That's normal. We choose our fighter as it will make the fight exciting to watch. Although both are great boxers and champions, we choose which side we think will win, especially if we are betting at the same time. It's not going to be easy for either fighter, but at least we will finally see them fight, which will prove the doubters wrong that one of them is evading this fight.

C'mon mate, it's clear as day that one of them is evading this fight and I wouldn't say that it is Crawford because he already provided his statement.
Anyway, it's not that new anymore because these two have been going back and forth while trying to make the fight since then. Only this time it's almost inevitable because there are no other belts available to grab and they should settle this once and for all who's truly the champion and more dominant in the division.
691  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA World Cup 2026 :Canada/Mexico/United States: Discussion Thread on: April 13, 2023, 07:02:26 PM
You need to find a culture that accepts football as it is to make it happen and make it work. I have to say pick the world cup hosts from the top 20 ranked teams in the world, and I bet that you are going to be doing fine. Look at the top 20 leagues of the world and you will see where the world cup should be held, it will definitely be better that way.

In fact, the world cup is not just what sometimes you watch on TV at home you are watching the World cup games from home you will not understand how much money is spent on the world cup when they could spend the money on a good cause and how many workers died there, that what we saw in Qatar world cup and I think letting a country like Qatar host the world cup was not a good decision while in next world cup, we are going to see the difference.

I don't know what's the reason behind why Qatar wanted to host World Cup because it's probably not the money they are after because they are already petrol nation which economic doesn't need some more boost as with or without World Cup, their nation is already rich enough. And I doubt if they after the tourist because from my perspective, they aren't much of a tourist friendly nation.
692  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: April 13, 2023, 04:53:39 PM
And Ryan has been ripped already, seen some pictures of him on his social media and definitely ready for this big fight. And probably he is just walking within 140 lbs now and just need to cut to get into the 136 lbs catchweight.

And the below picture is one of them hehe. Yeah, he looked ripped already with barely ten days into the fight and that 136 lbs catchweight is very attainable but with the 10 lbs limit rehydration clause i think he would still look like that picture below, i mean he will only be taller, and not a bigger boxer this time. Davis has done a good job of beating Ryan Garcia outside of the ring. His boss (Oscar) knows well how it is to be only taller but beaten by a faster Manny Pacquaio.

ctto

10 days and we will see if how both fighters will talk without a voice inside the ring, they are both expected to be aggressive and wanted to put down / knock down on another, the ringside is the right venue to execute those trash talks that they are throwing from one another, I see a good advantage with Tank as Ryan still needs to lose some weight before the fight.

we will see if being tall but not in a usual form will affect Ryan's movements and fighting capabilities, or it can be a vice versa.

If we based on the pictures, yeah, seems to be that Garcia has no problems making that 136 lbs catchweight. But still depend on how mentality he is ready for this fight. Remember that he had a big mental breakdown before and with this big fight ahead of him, we don't know that status of him inside, nevertheless we all hope that he had recovered already and that he is fine now.

Both of them have public workouts and looks amazing. But only one can be declared the winner. But the true winner will be us, boxing fans, even if we are not fan of either boxer, still good that we can see this kind of fight, two very young and undefeated boxers.

That is the catch, people who have been following Ryan Garcia knew what happened to him after he fought Campbell and they are still confused if Garcia have already recovered from that breakdown because that took him months before he fight again hence why Oscar Dela Hoya was making him cherry picked fights before he lets his cow fight the likes of Davis before even Oscar is not yet that sure if he's already ready.

But yes, just like you mate, we as the avid fans of boxing are hopeful that he already left his old version where he was too vulnerable. Other than that, it's good that a fight like this happened where we can witness two KO specialist sharing a ring because these days, it's almost already rare seeing this type of fight.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 13, 2023, 04:14:07 PM

I think Miami is just overrated because they are a team that is consistent in the playoffs. So, we haven't seen their struggles this season.

I hope they won't be too tired because they need to travel after the game, and the Heat are just fresh at home, practicing how to beat the Bulls.

If we trust the Bulls here, might as well another moneyline bet.

It did take a lot from the Bulls to win at the road, very hostile environment but they seems to be focus that night. Miami is playing again in their homecourt and if they lost this one, obviously it's time for them to rebuild. They haven't got close to the success when they went to finals in the bubble against the Lakers.

But if we look at the numbers, if I'm not mistaken, the Bulls has swept the Heat.

So that alone is a big factor in this game. So I will go with the Bulls +5.5 this early.

They need to rebuild, probably trade away stars like Jimmy because he hasn't been as good as he was before this season in terms of impact to the team. Bulls +5.5 should be a good value since they are coming off a huge win. However, the main concern here is, can they bring the same energy they showed in Toronto?

I'd choose the Bulls over the Heat here, the roster got more reliable cores unlike Heat but their problem is that the Bulls are somehow injury prone and if it weren't for DeRozan, the team couldn't stay afloat amid Vucevic and LaVine's absence due to injuries. Furthermore, the Bulls got a lot of defenders compared to the Heat. Anyway, a lot can happen because the Heat are more experienced. I'll take that spread as well.
694  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 13, 2023, 01:52:06 PM

I have no expectations from Casimero's opponent because he is an unknown fighter, but I am more interested in how Casimero will deliver an impressive win. However, as you said, Casimero should not be careless and underestimate his opponent. If the result is not in his favor, it could potentially affect his future journey. Remember that he wants to be a champion again, and the only way for that to happen is if he keeps winning fights.

That's true, but let's hope that Nghitumbwa will not be a different fighter in the ring. His records indicate that he is an aggressive fighter, but sometimes boxers change their style when they face a superior opponent. This fight is going to be entertaining, and we are expecting to see Casimero face a challenging fight. So, Nghitumbwa better live up to that challenge.
I hope he does not change his style radically, after all the moment he does he is already admitting that he cannot beat his opponent with his main style and strength, and if that is the case then how can he expect to beat Casimero if he will need to use a completely different strategy than what he usually uses? Now some minor adjustments are fine, but a radical adjustment spells doom for most boxers, no matter how skilled and talented they are.

Speaking about chances, radical change in techniques and style will unlikely give any good outcome in a match or fight because it requires patience and time to master those changes that are made prior the fight and looking at the time Nghitumbwa has, he definitely don't have that much time especially against Casimero. But we never know because we are just speaking about chances, I think we should see the outcome first because Nghitumbwa's camp won't be that confident enough if it doesn't work.
695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 13, 2023, 01:23:58 PM
The thing I’m shocked about right now is Zion Williamson being healthy but not playing because he doesn’t feel like himself. Imagine what Kobe would say… The Zion story is playing out just how I thought it would. He’s too big for the NBA. He’ll never be there when it matters due to injuries, which makes how good he is a moot point.

Zion need to learn from his injuries acquired since if he remain like that Pelicans might lose interest on him. He need to get motivated to lose weight since that is one of the reason why he is injury prone. They need to win against Thunder but he's not available at the movement, to bad for Pelicans because there supposed to be a star player on the team is not always available when they need him.

Don't know if that's inevitable or not because Zion and the management agreed that he should lose some weight and he will earn more from his contract if he'll able to play more games this season and will receive less if another injury will persist that is connected to his weight issues. Unfortunately, it seems that Zion wasn't inspired by that rule given by the Pelicans management. Now if he can't do something for himself, the Pelicans might trade him.
696  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: April 11, 2023, 10:37:11 PM
Hi friends, I have some questions for you guys about online casinos

What will you do if you don't know that a online casino will ask you for KYC after winning over 8,000$ on the platform? And you now manage to process with the verification and they failed to pass you? Can you consider such a casino a scam?

Also, imagine you get attracted to an online casino because of the bonuses they offer and you open an account and make your first deposit then you didn't receive the promised bonus, is this an act of scam or not?

I am trying to solve such an issue for someone very close to me and that the complaint he gave, I have no answer than maybe the bonus was canceled already before he made the deposit or there was a minimum deposit requirement.

Any other reasons?
My question is isn’t your friend aware about the terms of service before he starts to gamble? Because if not, that’s probably the reason why such gamblers jump to conclusion that they are being scammed by casinos because the casinos are not doing the right thing. KYC is not new anymore, so it’s better to accept that KYC is already compulsory than trying to skip from it. But in your case, if KYC is not approved, there must be something wrong with it. Your friend has mistakenly make an error probably that made the casino disapprove his request.
697  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: April 11, 2023, 09:58:34 PM
Should newbie traders be only concerned about making profit? I do not think so.

I feel that every newbie trader should first be concerned about fully understanding trading regardless of if they make profit or not at the beginning of their trading life. A newbie trader who enjoys profits mostly during his early life as a trader may be misled to begin to think that he has cracked the code to trading and will continue making profits. Newbie traders who experience some kind of losses at the early stage of their life but still continue in trading know better how trading can be, and because of the early experience that they have had, they are at a position of becoming much better traders than those that enjoyed easy profit at the beginning which can be misleading. What do you think, let us discuss?
Every trader has different mindset in trading. Some started with losses, and so they tend to learn more so they can improve their trading and later on make profits. But some traders would never have the courage to continue trading, maybe they lose amount of huge funds already so they just decide to quit and leave trading for good. That’s the reason why every trader should trade with caution. Whether they lose or make profits at the start,  the important thing is on how they will continue trading by trying to avoid another losses and maximize their gains.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Times When Casinos Will Ask Certificate That You Are A Responsible Gambler on: April 11, 2023, 09:25:30 PM
Will there come a time when online casinos will implement that you upload a responsible gambler certificate before you continue to play because of too many government restrictions it's not necessary for newly registered gamblers but for gamblers who lose a lot of money and their activity is they are suspected to be addicted to gambling.
The reason why the government will implement this, as a precaution, is to protect people from losing their wealth and their health from too much gambling because of addiction, it's a way of protection.
I guess if that will be implemented in the future, I bet this is the beginning of casinos bankruptcy because if most of the gamblers will be discover that they are addicted to gambling, then they will not be allowed to gamble, thus creating less profits on the casinos. And since the government is also making quite a good income from casinos, then they will also lost it since the casinos are no longer profiting. So I don’t think the government will adopt it.
699  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your money wisely - another lesson, Techie tries to suicide. on: April 11, 2023, 08:58:26 PM
Just responding due to subjects of the thread, invest is something we have think otherwise before going into investment because I believe that in investment human need to be extremely careful before it invest, secondly invest what you afford to loss, that's while it's encouraging to ensure that you use your spare money to invest in a platform you know quite well you have not mastered since you really want to take the risks.
Investments have its own risks, that’s why we don’t have to rush on it if we know in ourselves that we are not yet ready financially and emotionally. And investing using other people’s money or let’s say investing through borrowed money is definitely a bad thing. You could have screwed it in the future if your investment fails and used up all your money. That’s why invest only with your own money that you can afford to lose, if you lose it then you won’t have regrets. If you make it more productive and profitable, then good thing for you.
700  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taking loan for investment can be life threatening on: April 11, 2023, 08:44:56 PM
Let us not even put a second thought to this one. Just now came across post where one guy tried to end his life because he lost more than 30k USD in crypto space and guess what from where the money came? You guessed it right - the loans! Not even that, he used money from the mums pension fund. Imagine what kind of days he might be living with that much stress. This is what happens when you go off the way to do non sensical investment. There rules of investment or basically ways to do it. We can't or should never do loans in the want of growing it in the VOLATILE market. That's stupid way to go around it
The reality is do not invest from borrowed money so that if you lose your investment, it will never create a life changing effect to you. And investments are definitely high risky especially if you are still new to it and you don’t have knowledge and experience about investments. So just to avoid life’s regrets in the future, never borrow money for investments. Invest at your own risk, invest only from your own savings.
