Could we use our GPU channel to help Stanford's Folding@home project, and give them some nexus gpu unused power? #FoldingCoin

I really like Monero in the sense that it is the closest we have today as digital cash, even more than Dash, but reading some info i'm starting to believe that proof of work is broken against big players (Pools), whoever they are if they have the money they can buy huge mining power and take more than 51% of any network. Proof of stake is fucked in the sense that whales are the ones that can make decisions and voting on the blockchain. Good that Nexus is heavy on developing a Trust Network, because eventually the two POW mining channels are going to run out of reserves and only nPOS will support Nexus network, this new approach may finally put and end to this "take over" of crypto-currency just because i have the money or power to do so. The tech on Monero is great but as it is only a POW coin it will be really sad to see that blockchain collapse because of this huge "Unknown" mining pool with such a mining power. I'll leave the article here for you guys to read and get to your own conclusions about POW Mining. http://hubpages.com/technology/Monero-Attack-of-the-DwarfAs a final question, in ten years time more or less when Nexus POW mining finish, will it be enough just with nPOS and Trust Network to protect Nexus from an external force with big power and resources?

I would recommend the LLD update. It is currently still in Alpha phase testing, but has been 100% stable since I released it on the inner community close to a month ago. For those that don't know what the LLD is:
Lower Level Database
I have been working on this for close to six months. It is a ACID database written from complete scratch that operates 10-15 times faster than any MySQL, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Access, MongoDB, ect. database. This means: I programmed a database and engine from scratch down to binary serialization and indexing, ect that operates at 10-15 times faster than any database that exists today. This has brought the Nexus LLD build to 40-50 second bootup time compared to around 10-15 minutes with BerkleDB (Oracle).
I also designed an efficient key system I call the keychain database that stores the binary location of the sectors on disk and also acts as a multi map allowing a key to have any sized sector by piecing the sector together from different binary locations. This in the future when fully integrated into the Core with new architecture will allow the Keychain to be stored and services on the Blockchain which will allow the Nexus network to partition the database by trust and commitment to allow a Blockchain of thousands of terabytes while the required hard drive usage will be alloted by your node. This will work in conjunction with Merkle Chains, Transaction Nodes, and Archive Nodes to create technology that allows global scaling with blocks that can be as small as 100 kB and still handle large transaction volumes.
More to be revealed in the upcoming white paper release v2 that will contain all the architecture that I have been designing over this past year. This will act as a blueprint for anyone else that wishes to help contribute to Nexus Development to eventually be given to Bitcoin to help both networks scale into future adoption.
Thank You, Viz.
read this again and again
until u realize what u did just read here.....
a complete new high performance database developed from scratch for NEXUS and all with focus on scaling abilities in mind to support blockchains that able serve the world if u lack of technology background to able understand this trust me this means NEXUS is one of the TOP innovators of blockchain solutions I had the same thought Cryptonit, a new database has been created for Nexus faster than any other in existence, lets let people know about this achievement by putting this info in the first page

Was watching this video out of curiosity and the last part blew my mind as i had no idea about this fact, talks about Xerox ALTO, and how in 1973 they were the creators of what would become modern computers, they just had no idea wtf to do with that tech at the time, then Steve Jobs came and changed things. Very interesting vid worth taking a look, go to 9:10 minutes on the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T0Z73ZbtlygLesson from history, seems like ingenuity is not enough, creativity is not enough, amazing ideas are not enough, but the implementation of them all.

There is an issue with the Bittrex link on CoinMarketCap, it has been like this for about 2 weeks. If you go Nexus https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/nexus/#charts ,click on Markets, then NXS/BTC on Bittrex is not working, they still have old ticker as well.

If you scroll down the main page you can see most of the differences, but gonna give some of them
-To hack Nexus you'll need to make a 51% attack on three mining channels as this is a hybrid coin, this means uses proof of work like Bitcoin and 2 proof of stake channels to secure the network. Which makes it almost inmune to those attacks. - Talking about security is the most secure coin out there, your private keys will be 571bit security, that is twice as secure as Bitcoin, but it uses Skein at 1024bit security and SHA3 winner Keccak at 1600bit for the hashing, that is 4 and 6 times as secure as Bitcoin, this is due to the development of more and more powerful quantum computers, right now the only crypto who has a chance to deal with quantum computers 10 - 15 years in the future is Nexus, Core developer and founder Videlicet is developing a hashing algorithm for Nexus called "Calculus Space Cryptography", if this issue is not addressed quantum computer will simply destroy all crypto with ease in a decade or so, Nexus is doing something about it. -It will be the first coin in having reversible transactions, if you fuck up, you have a time frame to reverse it. -Dev's father was co-founder of SpaceX with Ian Musk and now with his own company Vector Space will send cube satellites to orbit in 2-3 years with Nexus and Bitcoin nodes to broadcast the blockchain from space and provide free wireless internet for the world ( I know doesn't sound legit but check the page and sources, this is going to happen). -Bitcoin tech is Single-Threaded, which means every task, transaction, messaging that happens in Bitcoin must wait in line its turn to be processed that is why everything with Bitcoin is SLOW, Nexus will be the first coin using Multi-Thread by the use of the Merkle Tree this way every area of the coin will have its on thread, kinda like your computer can handle different task at the same time. -Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies blocks are getting bigger and bigger which makes the blockchain very large and bloated, Nexus will make blocks smaller, if you want to know how this will be achieved, listen to the podcast, go to our youtube channel and its there. - Until now there is no crypto capable of handling real world visa-mastercard volume, Bitcoin will try to do this by using the Lighting Network, Nexus wont need to rely on third parties to achieve this volume. - Crypto transactions are cheap but as the coin gets more expensive the transactions as well, Nexus will offer free and instant transactions which will make it useful in real world beyond crypto sphere.
Short explanation in a few sentences? nope, hope it helps.

Nice to see the new NXS ticker on Cryptopia and Coinmarketcap, only Bittrex left

Now even Jeff Berwick from the Dollar Vigilante made a video about this topic https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mr6hb0ZSSoE 2:40 onwards I think Bitcoin is strong enough to survive a hypothetical internet kill switch, but does Nexus has at current date enough nodes to pass through one?

True that, gonna tweak this channel to support the main one, may I suggest some tweaks to do to the main channel from stuff I learned yesterday building this one, - For the moment to disable the option showing how many subscribers do you have, as is more probable that a newcomer subscribes to your channel if he doesn't see how many subscribers do you have when the number is low, when you have thousands of subscribers you can do the opposite and show it as in general people like to have subscriptions to popular channels. - The channel gives a better welcome experience when having an intro video, I put yours as is the shortest one we have. - This one don't know if really matters that much but putting links to the facebook page, twitter, slack and reddit, they are going to be small icons on top of the subscribe button. - And I haven't mess with this but people say that tagging properly is very important to get more views, gotta learn this art. hope it helps

The new website looks much better than previous one
btw there is a misspelling in Learn more -> Mining -> "Math is not Biased"
"There needs to be a careful ballance between math and the human element."

Just to add this as its good advice from Amanda, here in crypto we love these fancy words, decentralization, consensus, etc... in this short video she gives some good idea on how to explain crypto to a newcomer as these word wont have meaning to them and what can we do to fix it, we can apply these principles to a future intro video for Nexus as well as this one we have now is directed more towards crypto people. here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wMamUypjrZ0Here is the DASH intro video, less than 2 min and no fancy words https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0oNO3mbBE8

Good that now we have a short introductory video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dal30-4nA1I it was highly needed, the first two that we have in the main page are good for crypto people but they are extremely long for a new person that is coming to checkout Nexus and thanks to smartphones and social networks we have the attention span of an ant, now that we have the nexusearth site going what do you guys think we put all the videos that we have in a nexusearth youtube channel? as they are right now are very dispersed and for sure this intro video which is the kinda of type we need for the welcome will be forgotten as there is nowhere to find it, we can even put on that channel the three videos about cpu-gpu mining and setting up the wallet, all in one place that belong to Nexus. Was checking the DASH youtube channels they had the old one and now after they hired Amanda B. Johnson from the Daily decrypt to do the marketing-promotion of DASH they are promoting the new one and as usual you get welcomed with a short straight to point 2 minute intro video, lets do the same that way we can give use to Nexus intro video as well. Here is the old DASH channel https://www.youtube.com/user/DarkcoinTVand the newone https://www.youtube.com/c/DashOrg
