You guys are all right. You know JFK ordered a bunch of cigars before he signed the embargo (about 50 years ago btw)? Forbidden fruit is the greatest.
Shipped it can be yours for 6.5 BTC. I think thats a fair deal cause this isn't gonna be cheap to mail. I've mailed internationally, but if the price is right I will.

So, unopened 750ml Bottle of "Havana Club" Blanco Rum on your doorstop for 6.5 Bitcoins!
1962  Economy / Goods / Cuban Havana Club Rum, Blanco on: November 15, 2012, 08:59:27 AM
Hello,
I have an unopened bottle of Havana Club rum made in Cuba. That is why this is so rare-the US and Cuba are technically enemies. I can post pictures.
Asking $50 plus $5 shipping. Thanks!

My service:
Order and have shipped to you (payment through PayPal so no worries) your item. I would ask 30% of the original shipping cost. Sound good to anyone?
1965  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why do people assign value to Bitcoins? on: November 12, 2012, 08:30:36 AM
Its economics. Its based on unlimited demand and limited supply. When there is a huge discrepancy between the two of these, the item (like gold) is very expensive.

There's ALWAYS going to be people trying to make money. And often this involves manipulating another person. Even the loan-giver is potentially manipulating the loan recipient if interest percentage is outrageous and an unreasonable amount of time is given to pay the loan back. On the other hand, there might be someone who wants a loan, and has no intention of paying it back.
Its sad that this kind of thing has to be monitored. What difference is there giving a loan to someone with no kind of collateral/back up and flushing it down the toilet? The faith of some guy on the internet? That faith should ALWAYS equal zero.
Its unfortunate people lose money this way, but maybe it will help them gain some common sense! I would NEVER loan money (probably even to people I know) without some sort of collateral. Thats the way it goes-thats the NATURE of a loan.
Common Sense.

Don't mind the four hour rule too much-seems like a good method to keep out spammers. I already posted 5 times-not even to get my count up, just cause the topic was either cool or relevant. I've browsed this site plenty of times. I just want to take advantage of BTC being at the price they are. Thanks!

Honestly it was probably a problem with the cashier. Cashiers, especially at Wal-Mart are not particularly motivated or knowledgeable. I always have to make clear that I'm making an EXPRESS payment. Usually a manager has to come over. They ask my name and its already set-up. If the cashier asks how much money you are sending, SOMETHING IS WRONG.
So I guess my advice is in the future make sure you tell the cashier you are making an EXPRESS PAYMENT. The cashier probably won't know how to handle this, so ask for a manager if you need to. The easy way to make sure you did it right is that you never tell the cashier how much you are making a payment for-since its express payment your name should already be in the system!
1971  Other / Beginners & Help / Newbie Question: Escrow in the Marketplace? on: November 12, 2012, 01:03:59 AM
Hi all,
I'm a newbie (just registered). I've been checking out the market place (even though I can't post there yet :/)-is there any sort of Escrow System available? It doesn't seem like there is one built into this site, but are there any external services? Particularly ones that don't charge a ridiculous percentage, and ones with a good reputation? I plan to do some buying/selling on here eventually, and of course would feel safer with an Escrow System in place. Thanks!

I'm johnniewalker! I'm interested in conducting business in the marketplace section. I have a variety of goods I'm interested in and will have an ever-changing supply of goods to offer. Primarily (as you may have guessed by my name) I am interested in brewerania, rare alcohol, foreign alcohol, etc. If you are looking for anything along those lines, I'm your man! Nice to meet everyone Smiley
