Hi everybody, I am selling some of my Casascius 1BTC Physical coins (2013). They have never been touched by human hands. I took them from the packaging they arrived in and with gloved hands put them into the plastic capsule(s) you see (they are all in identical capsules-white ring). If you are interested please either post or PM me your offer. I am willing to entertain offers of fractional gold coins/pieces. Thanks! (note: all blemishes are on case, not coin)

Chris Duane coins are great! I met him at the Silver Summit this last year. Had a good conversation with him.
He still hasn't embraced bitcoin though. I wonder if he ever will or if at this point he has said so much against it that he won't be able to. It would be great PR for him to come out with Bitcoin silver!
His coins are awesome.Bump for pictures!

I am up to date and have the following (ALL were handled with gloves and put in a hard plastic case): 1. "In Debt & Death" 2. "Trivium" 3. "Freedom Girl" 4. "Slave Queen" 5. "AG-47" 6. "Cannabis" I may decide to wait until I have the ultimate complete collection. But maybe your offers can convince me otherwise

Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bubble Burst A Good Thing?

@yock: I hope so! @Explod: I see what you're saying. If you are holding the currency of any certain system, you are a "bearer" of wealth. What I meant was that I didn't want a single bitcoin to become worth the price of gold or something. I just feel like if that were the case, all BTC would be stores of wealth. The issue that I have with that is it would be such a waste-bitcoins were designed to be a form of currency, and had special utility. It would just be such a waste if they became hoarded like gold-their unique utility would be helpful in most every-day transactions; I think Satoshi wanted to develop a new currency/monetary system, not units of "1" costing hundreds or thousands of dollars.

Economy / Goods / [WTS] Original 2011 1BTC Casascius Coin Blank (redeemed) Starts @.07BTC!
|
on: July 12, 2013, 09:28:51 AM
|
Hey everybody, I'm selling a redeemed 2011 1BTC Casascius coin. I could lie and say it was one with a spelling error...or that it wasn't lol. It doesn't matter because once redeemed, the blanks are identical. I truthfully don't know about this one. I buy peoples' used coins from them. Either way, the coin is in great shape. You could use brass polish to get it perfect. (I am reluctant to do this because in the "coin collecting" world, cleaning a coin is a big no-although, that is for numismatic coins and using an abrasive method...like scrubbing with steel wool.) Finally, this coin can very easily be reloaded with bitcoins. I have holograms identical in size to Casascius' and would be happy to send you one. If you don't know how to load the coin, just let me know and I'll send along instructions. Plastic case included! Free REGULAR* First Class Mail anywhere in the US! $2 REGULAR* First Class Mail internationally, anywhere in the world! (REGULAR* means w/postage stamps, but not registered/trackable. If it never arrives (although that has never happened...good mail and honest people *knock on wood*), I can't be held accountable. If you want shipping via another method, just let me know. I'll figure out how much it costs and charge you just that amount. I hate people trying to make money off shipping lol. (MODS: Hopefully you don't send this to the "auctions" center. Its not one-if I don't see a price I like, I won't sell. Thanks!)Anyways, lets get this going. .07BTC?, anyone? (What the coin looks like loaded with bitcoins and protected by a tamper-proof hologram. These work exactly the same way as Casascius's)

Hey everybody, I have a lot of silver coinage. I have plenty 90% but probably even more Mexican silver. The Mexican coins differ in size and silver content (its kind of a weird way they do it....but it keeps things interesting for collectors). For 0.2BTC I'll mail you $1 face value/90% coins. I will also include a "mystery coin" (most likely one of my Mexican ones...some of them almost an ounce themselves). Free shipping in USA. PM me! Thanks

Economy / Goods / 1 ozt HAND-POURED Silver Bar, Stamped .999FS, 2012 Obverse
|
on: July 10, 2013, 01:28:00 AM
|
For sale I am offering one of my hand-poured silver bars. I usually just make them to sell on eBay or give as gifts. This one (pretty much all of them are) was made with silver shot I bought from Apmex. I used Borax as a flush and to ensure purity. I promise the purity of this bar is .999. If you wanted to get it assayed and it wasn't .999, I'd refund you. 1 ozt hand-poured bars are hard to come by. I make a fortune selling these things on eBay, but I need some coins to make a purchase. I am asking $24.00, or [/s]. This is a very low premium over spot for a hand-poured bar. I haven't sold one on eBay for a while, but when silver hovered around $28 for a while these all went for high $40s, some going for more than $50. I'll never understand the mind of an "eBayer". But I like them-they make me money! *Comes with hardshell plastic case!* Asking price includes USPS First Class Mail (postage) anywhere in the USA. Please PM if interested! (note: Casascius coin just for size comparison)

Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin Bubble Burst A Good Thing?
|
on: July 08, 2013, 12:10:23 AM
|
Does anyone else think the bursting of the "bitcoin bubble" (which is still deflating, I think) is a good thing? I don't believe bitcoins were designed to be a way to store wealth. And that is exactly what they were/what they were becoming. I think that their intrinsic value lies in their utility. I guess people en masse are starting to see that. Maybe now they can truly act as the kind of cryptocurrency the were designed to.

Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Someone Offer me an Analysis on Gold, Silver and BTC ATM?
|
on: July 05, 2013, 10:52:11 PM
|
I don't think it can be a coincidence that gold, bitcoins and even silver to some extent are at incredible lows at the same time. Anyone care to offer their explanation of why they think this is the case?
None are at "incredible lows." Lets not turn this into a battle of semantics. I am talking in the short term. From the period of now to say...4 months ago, prices of gold, bitcoins and silver are lower than they have been. Also, I realize they are separate markets. And yes, PMs are used as a hedge against inflation, so one is compelled to think inflation is slowing down as PMs are decreasing in price. You don't think this same affect has anything to do with bitcoins? That people aren't looking for alternate means of investment because the dollar is getting stronger? Another question...what do you think will be worth more in 6 months? $1,000 in gold or $1,000 in BTC?
