Bitcoin won't be the only thing that'll crash if the internet goes.

Why? Early adopters had to do with the pain of dealing of buying cheap things at a higher prices: $25 pizza use to cost 10k BTC, now you can get a $25 pizza for 25 mBTC (if I get the conversions right). Now they're keeping the currency afloat so we can benefit at exchanging items at a lower cost. Bitcoin was never about being the richest.

I don't trust any online wallets but I have to deal with them for now until the official Bitcoin client finishes syncing. Thank the net it's finally at 98%.

I'm Zc456, although most know me as Zenon Tigerpaw or preferably Squeaks, and I'm fairly new to Bitcoin. I'm finding it to be quite fun to use compared to the dollar or other currencies which is something I don't normally say about money. I hope to use it more often in the future as I continue to rank in more free coins.

Normally when it comes to money, I'm pretty neutral on the matter. Mostly for the reasons explained in What is Bitcoin. Yet with Bitcoin I don't have to worry about all that and it comes as a mighty relief. Actually, makes it fun to use. It's a strange feeling, to be honest, but a welcome one.
