When price is dumping we all feeling sad. Now not only Ethereum price dump, BTC and all altcoins price is dump. It's not right thought after dump we think, we should sold it before.
It is general dump caused by the hard forking problem in Bitcoin Cash. When the dust settle, the price will rise again.

Zcash is great! Love the coin! And It`s fast to!
No doubt, Zcash is really a very cool cryptocurrency. By the way, if you mine it, you can make a very good profit. I think, his year is 2019, it will gain. If you use GPU, it is not profitable now.
|
|
|
From a profitability point view: does it make sense to use an algo switching software like Nemo or All-in-Miner?
Or is just better to stick to one algo such as x16r?
It is better to use one algorithm if you can find the good coin to mine.

i have both 1070 ti and 1080ti rigs and i would rather run more 1070ti's due to lower cost the hash extra from the 1080ti's doesnt make a sinificant enough difference to justify the extra cost . also i wouldnt mine eth atm there are way more profitable algos to mine right now there are lost of equihash forks that are almost 20% more profitable than eth mining right now.
The only benefit for the 1080ti is the higher density.

Which one is best for mining?
No doubts the 1080ti, Seems its better to get a 1070 for mining than a 1080 1070Ti is also better than 1070. A 1070Ti is actually better overall than a 1080. Agreed... my 1070Ti systems earn about the same as my 1080 systems and cost less (using algo switching setup). Maybe buying a premium 1080 card you could beat the 1070Ti but then at even more cost. If you use the Enlargement software to increase the memory efficiency, the 1080Ti is also very good.

When we talk about the market cap, several other altcoins are ahead ZEC (LTC, for instance). Nevertheless, ZEC has nice things that I believe will make it survive in the future if its developers do their homework. The zero-knowledge proof implemented on ZEC is something that we need to keep an eye on because it is a key feature that will become very important to us all in the near future.
The developers will not be paid in two and half years. Who will pay the developments?

From TA point of view it's a good buy, MA just made a golden cross recently
I think most coins are still in the downward trend.

It is really a mad rally we had in Zcash and if i knew it was coming i would have invested in it,i just missed the boat with the entire rally and feel sorry for that,it was hovering around 0.05 btc a couple of days back and when i checked now it just made a rally of more than 100% which is really crazy, never expected these kind of rally in Zcash.
In hindsight, we shall sell at 0.05 and buy at 0.03 now.

Etheruem is starting to have a mind of its own! BTC is struggling! Saying that BTC STILL has the potential to take this market to hell! If HELL comes ( BTC sub 7K or worse) the market will rise without BTC dictating the tune. Opinion only BUT a possibility!
Do you think ETH will be $1000 or higher later this year?

Turns out the Bitmain E3 (NOT the F3 as reported) is not exactly a big GPU mining killer. 180 Mhash 800 watts
About the the SAME performance as a well-tuned 6 card RX 580/480 based rig, and slightly INFERIOR to a well-tuned 6-card GTX 1070 based rig.
My tuned RX 580 Special Edition GPU mine at 31 MH\s while consuming below 90 Watts They have 2 years warranty not 6 months They come from very well established "ÄMD" provider not from a shady one You can buy the GPUs from a local shop and return it to the same local shop to swap it for a new GPU in case something goes wrong You can buy it TODAY, you dont have to wait for 4 to 6 months I dont see personalty ANY advantage for those called ASICs They are just a punch of cheap memory chips, they are not really ASICs One last thing, You can also play games on a GPU ... keep dreaming bitmain has 70% of eth hashrate with these asics alone. They selling it for $800 but how much you think it costs them to run and deploy for themselves? prob around half that price... Wake up. I agree with that. But if ETH want to stick with ASIC, find another good coin.

Bump... We could see Zcash make one of the greatest moves in the altcoin scene. Whales like Barry Silbert and co. must have had their wallets filled by now and are ready for step two... The pump. Other corporation backed cryptos like XRP and XLM could see huge sustainable rises too. soon , cryptocurrencies will be taxed . Zcash will show its value . it's likely to cost more than bitcoin in the near future . I think ZCash is not for the avoiding tax, but for the privacy of coin owner.

If your 1080ti is only making $1 a day you are doing something wrong. I know people running a single 1080ti and they are making $3-$5 per day. Where are you getting your information or what are you mining and on what settings? That $3-$5 per day figure is without running the card intense, unless you consider 65c and 76% TDP to be anything except conservative.
You're doing something wrong if your goal is primarily to make the most $ per day. Maybe we can help you figure it out and optimize.
Did you make $3-5 per day? I am making about $1 per day with my electricity price of $0.18/kWh.

Zec approached $ 1000 but could not pass. I think you will come to the level of $ 1000 at the first opportunity. I think Zec is a solid project. It makes it more valuable if it is small.
I think the price of ZEC is consolidating. It will rise in the next few months.

If it is indeed 650Mh/s @ <1000W then I will be making a business trip to Asia this spring.
Scary/Exciting times.
If that is true, I think there will be a change of the mining algorithm.

The Japanese Financial Services Agency has announced that it is inspecting all 32 cryptocurrency exchanges in Japan. This includes 16 exchanges that have not obtained a license but are currently under review by the agency and those that are already fully licensed. 16 Exchanges Fully LicensedThe Japanese Financial Services Agency (FSA) published a list on Friday of 32 cryptocurrency exchanges in Japan. This includes 16 exchanges that are already licensed and 16 other exchanges that have applied for a license and are currently under review. The FSA first approved 11 exchanges in September of last year: Money Partners, Quoine, Bitflyer, Bit Bank, SBI Virtual Currencies, GMO Coin, Bittrade, Btcbox, Bitpoint, Fisco Virtual Currency, and Zaif. Then in early December, 4 companies were additionally approved to operate cryptocurrency exchanges: Tokyo Bitcoin Exchange, Bit Arg Exchange Tokyo, FTT Corporation, and Xtheta Corporation. At the end of December, another exchange, Bitocean, was approved. In total, 16 businesses are licensed to operate cryptocurrency exchanges in Japan. Continue reading >> https://news.bitcoin.com/japanese-financial-authority-inspecting-cryptocurrency-exchanges/That is right. If they inspect the companies, it will give people more confidence. This is certainly a commendable move by the Japanese FSA after hack of Coincheck(NEM).As stated in the article they are try determine is Coincheck financially capable to pay all users which are affected with this hack, but also to inspect all exchanges that operate in Japan. This is how things should be done, unlike what North Korea doing on solving their cryptocurrency problems. Number of 32 exchanges is very impressive, there is no doubt that the number will increase even more.I think that the Japanese financial agencies will even more insist on security and insurance of customer funds.

I am sure that we will test the old ATH in BTC pair again. Just be patient. Token sales are under heavy pressure right now, because it will all be regulated. This will good for real vaueable projects in the long term view imho.
You may be right, but you have to look at it from the side that every coin has its own development on the market so you have to look at it individually. That is right. But it is still difficult for ETH to reach 0.14 BTC.

Hi wellsontheja, Before investing, you should get all the information available (especially on this website). I guess you did this already before buying About your question, no one can tell for sure, but if you are looking at the long term, I would say there is a strong chance for it to happen. Short term, I have no idea. What could make ETH very strong in the future (IMO) is if BTC loses step by step his "anonymous" qualities, when more and more regulations are implemented. In such a scenario, I can perfectly imagine an increasing demand for ETH. Good luck, whatever happens I think it is possible when the Bitcoin upgrade to 2X is failed.
